Come enjoy a secluded getaway at our freshly renovated home on the Columbia River. This home is the perfect place to recharge and relax or find adventure in beautiful PNW style. We especially love to enjoy the wildlife and views from the wraparound deck overlooking the river. If you’re interested in catching more than just the sunrise and sets adventure is just outside your door! From hiking, boating, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, bird watching, fishing, it’s all at your fingertips. Little city adventures are nearby with Astoria being fun ferry ride away, or have a night out in the cute town of Cathlamet (4-minutes drive). Want to unwind after all the fun? Sink into the comfy oversized lounge couches for a peaceful sunset, maybe followed by a movie. The choice is yours, and you deserve it!

Did we say we’re dog friendly? Bring the pups and let them play, just be honest about the number. $15 per pet per day. Choose the pet option when selecting traveler number.

Our family throughly enjoyed staying here. The view is amazing and the house was very comfortable. The dogs enjoyed walking in the field next door.

We enjoyed our stay on Puget Island. The home was clean and the view is amazing being right on the water. The owners were quick to respond to our questions and needs. We were ISO a paddle boarding spot and happy to find that we could launch a board here at high tide.The only reason for the not giving it 5 stars, the sleeping arrangement was less than desirable as the beds are not walk-around, someone has to shimmy out of bed and the bathroom is a ways away.Overall I would recommend a stay here. Thank you Steven and Betsy for sharing your home with us.

This home is perfect for nature lovers, and those who want a quiet getaway. We enjoyed 8 days of bicycling, kayaking and boating. The home is situated right on a slough on the Columbia River and the views are superb. Hosts Steve and Betsy are welcoming, and provide everything one would want for a comfortable, memorable stay. The home is incredibly clean and well-appointed. We will be back!

House was comfortable and just as advertised. Quiet, clean and homey. The kitchen was nicely stocked and there were little thoughtful extras about. Just one heads-up: The beds were comfortable, but due the size of the bedrooms, they are arranged against a wall, potentially making it awkward or difficult for the inside sleeper to get in and out.

The house is even prettier than the pictures, with striking views of the river and mountains beyond. We arrived to a fridge filled with the best smoked salmon I've ever tasted as well as homemade goose sausage (yum!). The house was spotless and there was a vase of fresh flowers in the living room. Check in was effortless and all instructions were in a binder for us.

Deam Vacation

This is the place you have dreamed of! This place offers everything you may ever need while on a vacation. It also gives you pure, uninterrupted peace and solitude. It places you in a mindset that is pure relaxation. You can unwind, listen to birds and the water, and watch the enormous boats on the river. The place is immaculately clean and furnished beyond anything you may require. The hosts are the very best people to meet and talk with. They offer so much helpful information on anything you want to do or see. I highly recommend this with a 10-star rating. Our family stayed for 8 days. We will be back at this property again. No other choice is required after having the very best. Thank you to our wonderful hosts for the very best vacation. Our family has made the best memories that will last forever. See you next year

This home was the perfect get away. We had a great time watching the wildlife from the back porch. The raccoons, otters, and many different birds were abundant. The home is nicely equipped with everything a family needs. Mr. And Mrs. Simpson were the nicest hosts we have ever experienced. They went above and beyond to make our stay as amazing as possible. Mr. Simpson shared his knowledge of the best fishing locations with my husband. We hated to head back to Texas but we hope to return in the future.

We loved our stay at this property. The back deck is right on the water and we enjoyed watching the pelicans, osprey, and even a couple of otters one morning. The beds were really comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d want at a rental, and check-in and communication was great. We’ll absolutely be staying here again!

Repeat renter- I love it!

I have rented this house numerous times, at various times of year. This is my 1st time at veginning of summer. The wildlife right off the deck, on the river, is spectacular. The only sound i heard, other than the very occasional passing car, was the sound of birds. Peaceful!

Beautiful River home

This has been the best place we’ve been! Having my coffee sitting on the deck, watching the river and the sea birds is priceless. The home was clean, well upgraded. Host Steve shows pride in his place, and that he cares for his guest. We will be back!

Perfect Refuge

Perfect stay

Puget Island is awesome and this house is perfect with back deck right on water. The warm Fall weather made for pretty still river. Very relaxing. The property has everything you need. Island is perfectly situated for day trips to coast, city, wherever!
