The Kona Makai complex is a beautifully maintained & highly sought after Ocean Front Complex located on famous Alii Drive, just 1.3 miles from Kona town. This wonderful complex features and includes beautifully manicured tropical grounds, ocean front pool and spa, sunny lounge area, two work out rooms, eating area w/ gas BBQ’s, tennis courts, ping pong table, ample parking, and is gated during the night for security.

Highly recommend Kona Makai condos and this specific unit! Had a great week plus time there. Property and unit were convenient, comfortable, and just as advertised. Just a few minute drive to get into town. Accessing the unit was a breeze thanks to the clear communication. We will definitely consider booking the unit again should we return to the area!

Great condo!

Clean, comfortable, and steps from the ocean, this condo was everything we could’ve asked for. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the patio each morning with a view of the water. The checkin process was easy and this condo had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Nice stay

Kona Makai is well maintained and has nice amenities for when we didn't go in outing, it's family friendly and the location is perfect to be close enough to town to get groceries and dine, and far enough to rest. The unit is well equipped and comfortable, there are a couple of things that need to take care but reasonable.

Wonderful place

Very nice place. Grounds and pool well taken care of. Excellent view from lanai, love hearing waves crashing on lava rocks. Very clean with ample kitchen appliances, lenins, snorkeling stuff. Didnt see that they had boogie boards tell last day because they were hiding under bed. Probably should have been on info, who looks under a bed? Only 2 extra kitchen bags, not sure why, had to buy a box of 30 bags. Bed Probably should be taken out and shot, very used. But we slept well. Everything else was Primo.

There was a landscaper on the premises every day tidying up the property. The view of the ocean was spectacular, we saw whales and dolphins. We were very impressed with all the amenities they had here. I have never stayed in a place that was so well equipped with anything you would need. Way to go with that. It was so nice to have all the beach chairs, towels umbrellas and even coolers or bags to put your things in. We definitely recommend for anyone to stay here. The grounds are very beautiful and well kept. We would for sure stay here again. Thank you,

What I especially liked is usually not mentioned in a review: nothing in the unit felt as though it had come from a home where it was not longer needed. Example: All the plates matched, silverware was from the same set, good sized cups, decent glasses, great furniture, decent decor. Also, everything was very clean. People from the Knutson Office were very responsive if we had questions or concerns. I felt like I was on a great vacation in a beautiful unit instead of a great vacation in my college dorm.

Brought my kids here.Absolutely great place . Don't mind the pool rules so much kids need to play. It's definitely worth the stay .. I won't stay anywhere else. Each unit is great .Also bring snorkel gear you can go right out front every morning. One thing I do miss, is when they used to hang bananas in the cabana area. Was so much fun.We will be back soon.
