Awesome View - Canadarago Lake -  Awesome View is an ideal vacation choice.  Located on the northern shore of Canadarago Lake, this waterfront home has a large level lawn approaching the lake.  It sits on a dead end road with only a few neighbors, affording a private location. The name is perfect - because the view is truly awesome.

The waterfront is complete with a kayak, row boat and a private dock – great for fishing and boating.  Guests gather on the 350 square foot porch that is partially covered or around the fire pit with a campfire in the evenings.  Another deck is located at ground level.

The interior features a cathedral ceiling in the living area with great water views and central A/C.

What a great house! Kids had a blast kayaking and fishing right off the dock. Highly recommend this place. About a 20 minute drive to Cooperstown baseball fields.

Perfect spot!

We loved our stay here! It was a perfect spot on the lake for kayaking and fishing and relaxing in the mornings with coffee and a book. Everything you could need was provided and we slept like babies in the super comfy beds. It was the best getaway from the hustle and bustle of Cooperstown and Dreams Park. The owner is super nice as well - quickly replacing the coffee maker the first day because the carafe was cracked when we arrived. We would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a quiet spot that is still conveniently located to Cooperstown!

Great location

The location was perfect. Used the kayaks and small boat, sat in the porch, nice respite from Cooperstown activities. Had to buy basic condiments as there was no oil, mustard, ketchup, etc. for the most part though, great spot and enjoyed our stay Property manager was easy to communicate with and made this process easy. If we’re back in Cooperstown from Alaska, we’ll be back to this lake house.

Great Stay

We loved the house, very clean and well equipped. Location was great and very quiet with a great view. We were in Cooperstown for the dreams park and the 25 minute drive was easy and scenic.

Lovely Lake Memories

This property and home exceeded expectations on all levels. The home was clean and provided the necessary items for added convenience. The large windows provide a picturesque view of the well maintained lawn and lake. We spent a large amount of time relaxing on the covered patio watching our grandsons fish off the dock and make use of the kayaks. Diane was an exceptional host making certain that our needs were met and responding to questions in a timely manner. The memories we made here in our short stay will be treaured.

Family fun

While our son was playing in cooperstown this property was amazing, it was able to keep the whole family entertained and provide a great place to enjoy outdoor living at the lake during downtime.

Definitely an awesome view

Had this place for our vaccination vacation. It was a great stay. House was very clean and fully stocked with everything needed for a week away. Do yourself a favor and get out on the lake, we rented a couple kayaks and the wildlife was just incredible. This place really lives up to it's name.

Absolutely lovely

Let me just say the pictures of the lake do not do the beauty and peace of the lake justice. It was a slice of heaven to have coffee on the balcony every morning during our hectic week of baseball. The house is comfortable and very clean with everything you may need.

We really enjoyed staying in this rental house. It was 25 mins away from Dreamspark but worth the drive. Only con is that the drive at night from the park is a little challenging as you see lots of deer and its pitch black. But again, I would stay there again. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and fishing rods available to use. I could stare at that lake view for days on end.

Fabulous Accommodations

Had a great time staying at Awesome View. Everything came as advertised. A great spot on the lake with stunning views and a beautiful, cozy interior. Really enjoyed working remotely from the kitchen, looking out onto such a tranquil setting. Also took advantage of the kiosks to explore the lake. Appreciated our hosts leaving listings for restaurants in the area and communication with them during our trip was excellent. Highly recommend this destination to other travels.

So Peaceful!

We had a wonderful time at this property. They were not kidding that the view is awesome! The fishing is also wonderful as well and we caught many fish (and we threw them back of course😊). The property was very clean as well. It's a little bit off the beaten path but definitely not hard to find. Diane was a wonderful hostess!

Quiet and Comfortable Stay for Cooperstown Baseball Families

We enjoyed our time by the lake - great view, comfortable and clean accommodations, fantastic central air during the heat wave, and convenient location for families headed to Cooperstown Dreams Park. We were able to make use of the two kayaks for some peaceful morning paddling around the lake. House is well stocked and owners are attentive and accommodating. Groceries and drug store just a few minutes down the road. Would recommend this rental for a quiet family vacation and for those seeking Dreams Park lodging.

The perfect stay on the lake

This was the perfect spot for our family’s Cooperstown Dreams Park experience. The house was perfect offering 2 bedrooms and a small extra room that could easily accommodate another sleeping option if needed. Diane was an exceptional host going above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. I have stayed at many vacation rentals and I can confidently say her hospitality was top-tier. She has thought of every detail down to paper plates, umbrellas, soap, local menus, calendar of events, coupons, etc. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was ideal as it was only 25 minutes from Dreams Park, a short drive to downtown Cooperstown, and just five minutes from a grocery store and small restaurants. My favorite part was the breathtaking lake view both peaceful in the mornings with breakfast and the perfect way to unwind after a long day of baseball. The house also includes many amenities for the lake including small boats, a tire swing, life jackets, a gas grill, fire pit stocked with firewood, and more. If I ever get the chance to return, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing view at Amazing View

Loved our time at Amazing View. Diane was a gracious host and checked up on us to see if we needed anything. The grounds were spectacular, the house was incredibly clean and everything was exactly as mentioned. The view was amazing! We loved having our coffee in the morning sitting outside and watching the birds and fish jump. My wife, daughter and I had a great time. Definitely would recommend. Thanks so much for keeping the house and grounds so nice!

Another Great Trip

This is our second time staying here and we had a fantastic time. The weather was great, the lake was beautiful and the property was emacutate. We met Diane this time and she was very pleasant and a fantastic host. We look forward to many stays here.

Peaceful

The property is well maintained, the owner and neighbors were super friendly, and the ability to use the kayaks and row boat on the lake were an added bonus! We were there for Cooperstown and it is a 25-30 min drive to Dreams Park, but it is a lovely drive. The only drawback to the property is there is no bathroom on the second floor where both of the bedrooms are located. Other than that the property was pretty much perfect.

Great house in a relaxing setting

This house has everything you need for a relaxing lakeside getaway, and is located 20 minutes from all of the attractions in and around Cooperstown making it an ideal home base for other activities as well.

Better than the pictures

This was our first vacation as a little family and our first trip to this region, but it won't be our last. We loved this house; the view is more than awesome, the accommodations were cozy, and the accessibility to attractions like Cooperstown were great. Diane is a great host - she even left her blender for me to use! Definitely bring bug spray (we got eaten alive by mosquitoes) and your own knives (the kitchen knives were very dull) if you plan to do some cooking. But other than that, we would 100% stay here again.
