Hi Jesse, I'm sorry to hear about the smell - we had not heard that complaint and would've happily asked the cleaners to come back and fix the issue if you let us know during your stay. Glad you enjoyed the house/dock/firepit otherwise though!

In order of complaints: 1) We have an outdoor light at the front door, flood lights at the back porch, and another light on the deck. I'm not sure what else you'd prefer. This isn't a football stadium... 2)The smell you mentioned was not brought up by the cleaners (2 hrs before you) or the prior guests (checked out that morning). Since you brought 2 dogs, I asked if maybe your dogs had an accident while you unpacked as I don't think it is unusual for a dog to pee in an unfamiliar place. 3) The home and furnishings are a mixture of <2 years old (all beds and the main sectional and the loveseat in the master) and the rest is less than 7 years old. I'm not sure what your perception of a piece of furniture's useful life is, but we try to be good stewards of the environment and tend not to arbitrarily replace things that aren't broken or dirty beyond cleaning. 4) On a similar note, we provide/don't throw away basic items like salt, pepper, olive oil, sugar, etc. that are left in the kitchen because a) it is wasteful, b) many folks want to use these and forget to bring or buy and c) if you prefer not to use a seasoning that somebody has touched, you can still go buy/bring your own 5) Hot tub works (current guests confirmed) and you mentioned nothing about this while staying? 6) Propane can be replaced (and we refund you) within a 4 min drive. Again, wasteful to replace a partially full tank each stay. Sorry you didn't enjoy, hundreds of others have over the years per our 5 stars
