Short idle boat ride out to the bay and then just a quick shot to Bayou Portage, across to the Jourdan River or South to the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico!

We enjoyed a family vacation with my grown up children and had an amazing time. The property is great and enough room for all 5 of us. We even were able to bring our furry family friends with us and not leave them behind. There is so much to do and so many boats to watch come in and out of the Marina. We will definitely come back to this property for another stay! The hosts were always quick to respond and had a beautiful cottage right on the water.

Great, spacious home with convenient location.

I'd love to give this property five stars, as it was a perfect place for five friends to stay while celebrating their 60th birthdays. It is very spacious, clean and has many hang out areas. The owner needs to tweak a few things to make the stays go more smoothly. The information book on the counter needs to be updated so wi fi sign in does not require frequent texts to the host referencing an email and text. The listing also said there on bikes on the property and a blow dryer included. Neither were available. I said I did not need the golf cart, but asked if I could change my mind when we got there and made our plans. The host said, "of course!" But, when I texted the host I was told that the tire needed air and I could have a discount if I had a pump. I did not pack a pump in my suitcase. That said, the host was very quick to respond to my texts and the house is really amazing. Just a few tweaks in communication needed so there are no surprises for the guests. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again if I ever return to the area.

The house was as described and very clean and comfortable. The deck furniture and pool deck were not as well tended but it wasn’t a huge issue.

An oasis in the bay

We had everything we could possibly want here. Patrick is a great host. The layout of the house is super comfortable and there is a zone for every family member to enjoy some alone time or join the fun in the common areas. We loved being able to take the golf cart to the beach and we paddled the kayak to see the sunset on the bay.

Fun on the water

Loved loved loved this place. Only bad thing is we didn’t see more of gulf coast because we didn’t want to leave the house. With the pool and boat in the water and outside area, we were happy staying out. Great family retreat. And great response from owner. Would do it again.

Family reunion

If we could give this place 10 stars-we would. We’ve stayed in many VRBO properties and this one has been the best by far. The kitchen has everything you need. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds. There are no words to describe how wonderful the pool and covered patio are. We enjoyed the golf cart, the outdoor games, and the neighborhood. The beach was just a short distance and it felt like our own private beach. We’ll stay here again. Thanks Patrick to you and your family.

This place was very clean, well stocked with everything we needed and the pool was a big hit for the summer heat. Property owner was very responsive with all questions we had. Beautiful home in a great area just a short drive to the beach and stores. Extra bonus was the 6 seater golf cart. Neighbors were very friendly. We will be back.
