Azalea Cottage Retreat has excellent reviews and rates. The place to stay if you want to be near all Asheville has to offer!!
This sweet cottage is newly renovated with 1 bedroom, 1 bath and an open concept eat-in kitchen & living room. The bedroom has a comfy queen sized bed, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a large meal or a small snack, the bathroom has a washer/dryer and outside is private paved parking right in front.
Asheville Retreat Cottages...super nice cottages located smack in the middle of everything you want to do in Asheville!!!! This little community is perfect for individuals seeking a quiet, relaxing time away from their normal busy lives.
This property is conveniently located just minutes from Biltmore Park and only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville in the Avery Creek/Arden community. Biltmore Park has lots of restaurants, shops, entertainment, a great movie theater, spa and more. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 3 miles away and a great place for hikes and sightseeing. The NC Arboretum is only 3 miles away and is great for hiking, biking and exploring the beautiful gardens. Zen Tubing is just 2 miles down the road at the French Broad River. This is absolutely a must do activity for all ages. The new Outlet Mall is only 5 miles away and has shopping for everyone! The Biltmore House is just 15 minutes away and another must do in Asheville. Plan at least 5 hours though because you will want to explore everything on the estate...just beautiful!
Whether you are coming to Asheville to hike, bike, fish, tub, sightsee, shop, explore or relax, this location is close to everything!
This little cottage is in a very small community with only 5 units. This one is 1/2 of a duplex but parking is separate and inside, you'd never know there is an adjoining unit. Per the reviews, guests love to stay here! You will find all the conveniences needed for a few nights or a few months.

Loved the location! Central to all our family and everything we needed to visit. The house was cozy, although it did share a wall with the neighbor. The bathroom fan was very loud when it first went on, but I was glad it had one. Some complain the shower is small but it is a standard single stall shower. Small but I fit as a plus size woman.

Comfortable cottage close to hiking

We truly enjoyed our cottage in Arden, it had everything we needed for our week stay! We were glad we had a rental car and enjoyed being able to take beautiful drives along the Blue Ridge parkway which was nearby and were close to lots of great hiking spots. One con was that we were quite far outside of downtown Asheville, we often took Uber to get there and visit the many breweries. It was often difficult for Uber drivers to find and it took a while to get a driver out there. But overall the pros outweighed the cons and we would totally recommend this spot to others!

A much needed adult getaway.

This little cottage, emphasis on little, was the perfect place for my wife and I. It had such a cozy feel to it, it made our kid free weekend feel complete. It wasn't to far from downtown Ashville, Biltmore Estate, and right down the road from a entrance onto the Blue Ridge Parkway. WOULD HIGHLEY RECOMMEND!!!!! ***Shower stall is very narrow, with a standard height showerhead, so you will feel like your ducking under it if your over 5'8". Wasn't a complaint for us, just an observation for others.

Good Stay

Bruce and Melissa were awesome to work with! The one minor issue we had was the first PDF for check in instructions did not load, but they fixed it right away. We loved the place and enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful weekend

Azalea cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway. Everything was clean and welcoming. The host had all the basics that was needed. I would love to visit again.

Amazing Stay!!

Great communication from the host regarding check in. I felt comfortable and safe. The host provided movies and specific instructions regarding how to work the AC and TV/Roku. There are no pretty mountain views from this cottage, but the mountains are close enough to travel to. I would stay here again if I ever return to Asheville. Lots of food places near by as well.

Quaint and cozy

The cottage is perfect for a couple. The neighborhood is quiet and private. The cottage was very clean. The owner answered all of my questions in a timely manner and was incredibly kind.

Fantastic place....felt like being at home...great location to many places including the Biltmore...place was VERY clean and stocked well to make dinners at home...sent pictures to my brother and sister in-law and they plan on renting it all.

Absolutely charming!

This was the first time we stayed in a VRBO and we chose the perfect one!! The cottage was pristine, very spacious, very comfortable bed, and perfectly decorated. The location was perfect to enjoy all things Asheville!

GREAT Location!

This property is close to downtown Asheville, close to the Biltmore and in the center of various hiking options. When I landed at the Asheville airport, I couldn't open the document with the info to get into the property. The owners responded immediately with the information at nearly 10 pm. Overall it was a wonderful stay! We didn't use the kitchen because we ate out each night, but it seemed stocked well to cook anything you like. My only complaint is that unfortunately it did smell strongly of mildew the whole weekend. The property itself was clean but opening the door to an unappealing smell isn't a good first impression. Other than that, it was truly a great stay. Location was our top priority and it fit that need for us. Thanks for the stay!
