I would never stay here!

Hurricane Helene was approaching and i reached out to the host. We were not able to cancel or reschedule. I asked for any kind of refund and was denied. They wouldnt even refund the cleaning fee despite the fact that we would not be there. I will never book with them again. A complete lack of compassion in the face of a major disaster.

Easy access

Close by to everything. Easy to get to. Older condo but nice. Pool on the property is small. Owner was great in responding to my messages!

Sketchy neighborhood and 3 padlocks to prove it

This place is potentially dangerous. I would not stay here. I is nothing like what is represented and I do not believe the ratings that it has gotten. Could not suggest more strongly do not stay here.

No communication …No WATER

I have never had poorer communication with a host. I tried numerous times to communicate via message and all messages were undeliverable. Left numerous voicemails with no response. I even contacted Vrbo directly, and they tried numerous times to reach the host to no avail . Messages seem to be auto generated. The pictures of the property are very misleading. Yes apartment was clean, yet we had no running water our second night there. No ability to shower, brush teeth use the kitchen or even use the bathroom. I tried numerous times to contact host and they finally responded with. “We are looking into this with our team.” I asked the surrounding units to make sure that it wasn’t in the whole building problem, and they assured me that they had running water. I understand that things happen, but I reached out to the host asking for a refund for the one night due to the circumstances I have received no response ! I was traveling with two handicap adults, and this made our stay very uncomfortable we had to leave early in the morning because it was not safe or sanitary to stay there. We use these accommodations frequently as a family, I am aware that things go wrong, and properties have difficulties. But the lack of communication response from this host and the lack of VRBO‘s ability to step in and help was horrid. I NEVER leave bad reviews , but I wanted to save someone else from this .

Great Spot and Place

The property was clean, filled stocked in the kitchen and had the comforts of house while traveling. Nice setup for the soccer tournament weekend while in Gainesville.

Older, but quant and great location

We liked being able to walk to the college bars and restaurants, but it was about a mile that was not an issue for us. Cutting through campus made it go quick and fun to see all of the tailgaters.

UF tour and Track meet

The propety is greatly located, very close to shopping, eating and the UF campus. The apartment is very clean everything works. Great stay overall.

Cleaning crew needs to be fired

We rented this condo because my youngest daughter had to have major surgery and we needed a place near Shands. We got there around 5 and my Wife always does her usual inspection of the place we are staying. Everything was fine until she checked the beds. The linens hadn't been washed. They not only smelled soiled but there were hairs all over the sheets. We had to drop what we were doing and go to Walmart and buy news sheets for BOTH beds. I contacted the host and she immediately offered to move us to another unit but I figured the same cleaning crew was responsible for both places. Most of the reviews are good for this place. I noticed a day before we were to check in that a negative review popped up. I was really hoping this was a one-off. I was wrong. We'll find another place next time.

Maria's condo was exactly as pictured/advertised. Location very convenient to UF's campus. Easy check-in/out and host was very responsive to minor issue with tv remote. Would stay here again :)

Comfortable stay

Overall comfortable stay, good neighborhood, very friendly owner, prompt response only point of dissatisfaction about my stay is cleanliness and small things. For example, bed sheets, towels etc. you don't feel clean and fresh. Most likely they were not washed from the previous stay which is bad. Bathroom is not very clean and fresh. They did not put bath soap or even extra pair of napkins. In the kitchen things like aluminum foil or plastic wrap should be kept. They charge hefty cleaning fees. Compared to that all above things can be provided in the negligible cost but it will make stay much more convenient. Otherwise nice people, nice neighborhood, nice location, convenient for in and out all plus.

Great place. Central location

Great place for campus tour with my son and to explore surrounding area. Clean comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen. Fell asleep by the pool for a bit (my favorite.) Definitely would stay here again.

Perfect location

The location couldn’t be better for our stay - centrally located for access to the UF campus and downtown restaurants. The place was older, but very clean and well maintained. Maria was a great host and accommodated our modified schedule.

Great location at a good price.

This was our second time staying in the Summit House complex. We love the location near the UF campus because we like to walk in pleasant surroundings and have restaurants and other amenities nearby. The apartment is a bit dated, but everything works as it's supposed to. Our host, Maria, was very communicative, and all the procedures for checking in and operating the facilities were clear and easy to follow. We would happily stay at this location again.

Hard to get in lock box, and needs to be sprayed for pest.

When you gave me your telephone number you did not give me the entire number. I had to call a family member to come and help me get in the lock box. The next day the ac man was surprised to see me & I was surprised to see him as well. The largest bed room still does not get cool during the day, he said it’s related to the way the sun shines in.

This is an older complex and is quiet while still close to all of Gainesville's big areas! UF campus is only a 5 minute drive and Shands hospital is within walking distance of the home. The complex has a pool that is shared amongst other tenants.

Please remember to place the parking pass in your car as they do enforce towing in the area. We only have TWO passes. Guests are responsible for replacement of any lost keys, a $50 charge.

The complex also has a laundry room with paid machines that are open to guests ands residents.

There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance of the home and if you are willing to hop in the car and drive, your options for food, adventure, and entertainment are right at your fingertips!

Parking downtown is limited during special events such as Gator games, and weekends. There are ride sharing taxi options available in the area like Lyft and Uber. Gainesville also offers standing and sitting scooters for rent. Simply find one parked on the sidewalk, download the app, and scoot around town for fast, fun, and easy way to beat the traffic!
