" Willogap" Lakefront house great mountain views close to two major ski area's

The property is directly on the Willoughby Lake the most scenic lake in Vermont. We
include linens, towels ,kitchen supplies and everything you need to enjoy your stay !
There are beaches located at each end of the lake .We are 35 minutes from Burke Ski Mountain and 50 minutes from Jay Peak.There are extensive hiking trails in the area including on Mount Pisgah and Hor.
We are near the Kingdom Trails, a 100 mile multiple use trail system, unlike any other, which caters to mountain bikers of all levels as well as hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing .There is access to snowmobile trails at the north end of the lake.
For rent during the warmer season we also have on the property an unheated cabin which is only available with the rental of the main house .The cabin has a queen and 2 single beds , a 1/2 bathroom and an efficiency kitchen with a refrigerator , sink , microwave and coffeemaker .
The rental fee for the cabin is $150 per night.

This was our second visit to this amazing lake house. The views of Lake Willoughby and mountains from the house were stunningly beautiful. We did a very enjoyable hike from the lake’s South Beach. Our stay was longer this time so we had fun getting to know some of the small towns in the area.The house itself was very roomy and comfortable. We played ping pong and even tried a little fishing from the dock. Hope to return in the future!

Amazing and relaxing, as always

This was our third time staying at Willogap and it was as good as we could imagine. The view is amazing and the dock on the water is perfect for swimming. The house is comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the pingpong. The house is well stocked for cooking meals and its easy to communicate with the host.

Outstanding.

We have stayed at many VRBOs. None have been this close to the water with such a magnificent view. We sat on the deck for the better part of 3 days just admiring it. Host was great.

Beautiful Willogap Lake House!

Willogap Lake House is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation! Definitely the best place I have stayed at. It is located on a beautiful private lot. The views off the two large decks are stunning, with "Willoughby Gap" and forested hillsides. It is so relaxing to hear the loons and the waves lapping the shore on breezy days. Inside, the house is very roomy and extremely clean, with the same great views as the decks. I literally gasped when I walked in and saw the view of the lake from the wall of windows overlooking the lake. It is breathtaking! The furniture is so comfortable and nicely arranged with several seating/conversation areas. The kitchen is beautiful, with modern appliances and everything you need to prepare a meal. Everything is in great condition! The bedrooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Communication with the owners was very pleasant! Stu was so helpful with check in details, answers to my questions and lots of great restaurant recommendations!This is one of those places you want to keep to yourself...but a great review is definitely deserved. I hope I can go back next year!

This was our second stay at this property with family and rang in the new year ! It has all the comforts of home. Additionally, it had board games and coloring books for little children. The view is amazing and even saw a Bald Eagle! You won’t be disappointed.

Willogap house

This house is incredible. Super tidy with just about everything you need during your stay. My family and I had the BEST time. It has by far one of the best views on the lake. The house/scenery felt like a dream. My boyfriend proposed to me out on the dock during sunset and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. 10/10 would recommend.

Family gathering for college graduation.

We stayed here as a base for a college graduation celebration at Vermont State University. Six of us stayed and we had a few visitors for supper. Just like the pictures show, this is a beautiful cabin with fabulous views whether you are inside or out. The interior of the cabin felt very clean - just like home really. The bedrooms were very comfortable, as were the bathrooms. The rental is well organized and the HVAC works very well - lots of different weather on our 4 night stay. The wifi worked well and we could easily connect to our streaming services using the Roku. What you can't tell from the pictures is that this place has a very nice kitchen, with all the modern appliances. It is a wonderfully quiet property and has plenty of parking (we had 4 cars) and a nice ramp (for accessibility or rolling a load of groceries) down to the cabin. The gas grill was in good working order and had plenty of propane. The living space had plenty of area to spread out and relax. A few local activities we enjoyed on this trip were the Bread and Puppets museum (amazing unique place), Parker Pies in West Glover (great little beer bar with a small bottle shop connected to it), fishing on May pond and watching the stars from the cabin's front balcony on a clear night. This was a great place for a family gathering and we hope to return in the future.

Rest and relaxation with amazing views

The house was amazing. It had everything we needed and more. The ping pong table was so much fun on a rainy day. This was the most relaxing vacation we could’ve done. The view of the lake is spectacular and we couldn’t stop taking pictures of it, lol.

Beautiful location of the house. Very nice owner of the house. We had a great time at the Burke ski resort and Jay Peak ski area. That was a second time we were there and planning to come back.

I felt like I was on a Scandinavian Lake. It was dark when we arrived, so it wasn’t until sunrise when we saw the beauty of this property. The house is equipped with almost everything you could ask for. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful Location

This house is in a beautiful spot, right on Lake Willoughby, with a view of the gap! Peaceful and quiet! The house is well equipped with everything you need. The owner is very good with communication, easy to reach if needed!

Great Lakehouse, Excellent Hosts

We had a great stay at the house over Labor Day weekend. One of the rare cases where the inside condition was better than it appeared in the online listing. We also rented the small cabin and had the kids sleep there, which was fun. The house was well stocked, including the kitchen. Having a house right on the water, with a small dock is the essence of summer living. We loved the beauty of the lake and would definitely stay again — Stu and Anthony were super hosts!

Late summer stay at Lake Willoughby.

This is a very unique property directly on the lake with a fantastic view. The host checked in to see if everything was in order after we arrived, and let us know that if we needed anything just to call. The house was well equipted. We had a nice stay.

Family and fishing

This home is literally on Lake Willoughby, the view is breathtaking. The space is open and comfortable. This is our second year staying here over the Memorial Weekend. Both stays the owner checked in on us to see if everything was going well and if we needed anything. We enjoy our time at Willogap and hope to return again to this quiet serene getaway!
