Welcome to the Cottages at Lake Ella, your home away from home in the heart of Tallahassee's Midtown on lovely Lake Ella! The property offers a beautiful, landscaped yard with outdoor seating and a beautiful lake view. Just steps away is Lake Ella Park with a gazebo and a walking trail around the lake. Location, location, location conveniently located minutes from the Capitol, 10 mins to Hospitals and 1.8 miles from FSU!

The space:
Enter through your private entrance and into your large single room with floor-to-ceiling windows and queen bed. This unit features its own kitchen, full refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot, and all utensils. It also comes with a closet and a 2020 renovated private full bathroom! Large front yard and fenced backyard for your enjoyment. Perfect for all travel and offers a laptop-friendly workspace with fast internet and reliable Wi-Fi for work-from-home travelers.

Guest access:
Guests will have a well-lit private entrance leading to their unit, and shared use of the yard and the washer and dryer.

Other details to note:
All rooms are bleached post-check-out and again before check-in due to Covid-19. We also provide additional linen/towels for longer-term stays. This unit books fast and is usually booked for several days/weeks at a time. So, if this is not available, please check out our other units!

Although check in is 3 PM... as long as your unit of choice has been cleaned and inspected, we would be happy to be flexible to your traveling needs. The units fill quickly, and our cleaning staff stay busy, so please allow 24 hours for late checkout requests.

Family pets are welcome if they have flea RX and current shots. We do charge a non-refundable fee/each pet.

Parking is available either on the street or in the Lake Ella parking lot. However, the home has a private driveway to accommodate the elderly, those with limited mobility, families with small children and all guests to use as a convenience to load and unload their cars.

It is important that all guests are courteous to community citizens regardless of race, sex, or socioeconomic status. All guests show mutual respect for music volume, and late-night activities. Guests are always welcomed back if they’ve been enjoyed by other guests and by this small nit community.

Neighborhood description:
Lake Ella's part of Florida's "Old Spanish Trail," making it a great start for morning walks or jogs with a 0.6-mile paved walking trail that completely encircles the lake. The beautiful park features abundant wildlife, a pavilion, and shops making it a central place of activity for the city. There are also food truck Thursdays which usually have a live band. The American Legion and Black Dog are cafes across the street. There are also a dozen other shops and restaurants nearby!

Getting around:
Personal cars are welcomed but might not be needed if you plan to stay local. Commercial transportation is available via your app, and taxis are a phone call away. Tallahassee also provides a free trolly for exploring the town. Nearby businesses within walking (or biking) distance include Publix, UPS, CVS, a bike shop, and Painting with a Twist to name a few.
