Host was very accommodating even with the schedule changes we had. Overall the house was beautiful and worked well for our needs. The only issue we had was that the house seemed like it had been sitting for a while without being checked on and was not cleaned properly before we arrived. The beds, sheets, kitchen and baths were clean overall but there were hundreds of bugs (dead and alive) everywhere in the house. We had to vacuum and sweep much of the house prior to enjoying it. Other than that, it was lovely!

Very well furnished. Great kitchen. Beautiful property and location, nicely secluded. Game room and cinema added such a great element to our stay. Very clean and very well furnished with extra towels and cozy blankets etc. Hope to return at some point.

Good bur had some issues

Pros: House is good as listed. Enjoyed amenities. Daleen is very communicative. Nice quiet setting. Can't hear neighbors. Comfortable for a larger family or small group like ours. Cons: As a larger group we couldn't all sit in the living room together without dragging in chairs because it only seats 5. We had an issue with the air conditioning downstairs. It took 5 days to fix so we really couldn't use that area because it got too hot. We were offered a air con unit but we would be required to go pick it up at Lowes or someplace similar and hook it up. I was not comfortable doing that and felt that wasn't our responsibility. She didn't have someone to do that. We ended up with 1 fan (for the 3 rooms) so only the bedroom had a fan. The other rooms we had to wait until it was fixed to use because it was just too warm. She was attentive about it, but I felt it could have been handled better by having someone to bring and set up the air.

Family trip

We had a great time at the Cardinal's Nest!! It had everything we needed. Very clean and tons of space. The kids loved the lower level with the game room and theatre. My elderly parents enjoyed the ground floor with the master bedroom, spacious bathroom and all the kitchen, dining and living spaces. All of the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Great views from the deck. We loved watching the deer come through grazing each night. And from the deck my parents could watch the grandkids and their tetherball battles. Lol

Beautiful spacious home

This home is beautiful and very spacious. It’s just as described in the listing plus is has huge closets to keep all your stuff organized. Host was very quick to reply to any questions we had.

Family Vacation

The Cardinals Nest was a great place to stay for our group of 9. Plenty of beds to choose from and lots of space to move around. We enjoyed all of the amenities. The movie theater was awesome. The recliners in the theater were so comfortable and recline with the push of a button. We saw deer every morning of our stay except for the morning we had thunderstorms. I would stay again. Thanks for the memories.

Perfect

This property was perfect for our family! From the movie room and game room for the kids, to the wood burning fireplace and beautiful views for the grown ups we all had an amazing vacation! The host truly thought of everything a guest could need. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!

Family Christmas at Cardinals Nest

Loved how they had a ping pong table, when we got there, we loved playing that, the movie theater, so fancy, even with a popcorn machine! Tether ball was so fun, the fire outside, everyone loved the house! So many special features and touches :) the host, daleen, is wonderful! Everything was clean, great appliances, great master suite and shower! Thank you for a wonderful family Christmas!

Great Thanksgiving

Cardinals Nest is Beautiful. The scenary is breathtaking. It is within 10 minutes of places to eat and shopping. Also, 40 minutes to Nashville. Great location! The kids had a great time in the basement. They locef plating ping pong, watching movies, and playing video games. The house was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive. 5 stars.

A Wonderful Place

The Cardinal's Nest is a beautiful property, we enjoyed it immensely. We were in town 5 days for a wedding and the house was a perfect setting for a lot of family visiting time. Very comfortable and private, yet close to Columbia with fun dining and shopping. Our host Daleen was great about answering any questions and ensuring we had a nice stay. Really nice place, we'll be looking for an excuse to come back!

In town for my Son’s Wedding

Cardinal’s Nest was a beautiful home, fully stocked with everything you would possibly need! Accommodations for the entire family. Comfortable beds, plush towels, very clean! Loved it and would definitely stay there again! The host is amazing and responded immediately to any questions I had!

Perfect for our large family to rest and recharge

We had a wonderful time! It was a very peaceful stay. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy each other’s company and also to separate for rest and downtime. The only complaints were there was a strong musty/moldy smell in the basement areas. Taking showers in the primary bathroom was interesting and uncomfortable with the extra shower heads that were awkwardly placed. There was no shut off for those and the water pressure was a bit much. Other than those things everything else was great! It was a very stocked & accommodating property. The owner was very thoughtful, kind and available for any questions we had.

Peaceful Spacious Family Getaway

The home was perfect for my large family to gather for a family wedding nearby. The home is well equipped for entertainment and cooking. There is plenty of space for those who need some quiet solitude or for several to gather for conversation and games. Plenty of outdoor seating and space to roam. The host quickly and kindly responded to my questions which was greatly appreciated!

Great family house!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely home. As frequent renters of vacation homes we were really impressed by all the amenities. Stocked well with paper products, baby items such as a stroller and pack and play, and plenty of towels and extra blankets. The privacy is really nice and the game room and movie room were a really nice bonus! Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Wonderful home with open concept living area and kitchen, plenty of bed space for larger groups, beautiful porch view, and entertainment for kids and adults with ping pong, movie room, games, etc. Easy to get to interstate 65 and Into Columbia. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, comfortable home and property! Very clean. The kitchen was amply supplied with all that we needed. Spacious gathering places for the family. Linens and mattresses were top quality and very comfortable. All ages enjoyed the ping pong table, bean bag toss game, lego table, arcade game, theater and other games. Great stay for all ages!

We traveled to TN for a softball tournament and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The four 13yr olds loved the theatre room along with the game room. The 6 adults stayed very comfortably and it’s a very peaceful stay with the house being tucked away in the woods. We would definitely stay again if we make it back out that way.

Wonderful family getaway!!

Cardinal’s Nest is just “as advertised!” Beautiful property, clean home, easy check-in and out, and very comfortable accommodations. Our family loved the view, the home, the fire pit, the theater room, the game room and close proximity to plenty of restaurants, shops and trails around Columbia. Perfectly secluded and 5 mins from town. And Daleen was very responsive to any questions we had. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!! Thank you for the wonderful family getaway!!

As soon as I laid eyes on this home I knew it was the one! The beautiful windows, abundant wildlife, seclusion, and space to relax and enjoy your surroundings. We have regular visits from deer, so secluded but only 7 minutes to McDonalds one direction and Cracker Barrell the other. Rolling hills, historic sites, wineries, antique shops, parks & walking trails are available for your pleasure.

Near Nashville, Spring Hill and Franklin area but far enough to avoid the traffic of city life.
