Welcome home, captain, to your 4 BR 1 BA pirate's lair in Southern Orchards.

We equipped all bedrooms with Smart TVs and Smart Beds.

The living room includes a Pirate Ship, Barcade, 70" TV, board games, your personal library and your captain's desk and computer (stacked with even more games).

Grill out in your fenced and turfed yard, including a shaded pavilion, lounge seating, and outdoor dining amenities.

10 min to OSU/airport. Private parking. 15% off stays of 7 nights or more.

• Four bedrooms, one bathroom.
• Please note that the attic bedroom can only be accessed by a hidden door in the 3rd bedroom. The entryway to the room is narrow, and not all guests may be able to fit.
• While the rest of the house has central A/C, the attic is cooled by a portable A/C unit.
• Living room has a 70” smart TV with complementary Sling TV service and access to all your streaming subscriptions.
• Each bedroom has an adjustable bed and 55” smart TV.
• Kitchen has stainless steel appliances and comes equipped with basic cooking tools. • Office in the living room comes with a desk and computer.
• Fenced in backyard with hammock, grill, and patio seating.
• Clean towels and linens are provided.
• Combo washer/dryer and ironing board in the kitchen.

Guests will have access to the entire property minus the basement and two storage closets on the second floor. We value the privacy of our guests, but are available by message or phone call if you need any assistance.

Southern Orchards is a neighborhood near Nationwide Children’s hospital undergoing rapid redevelopment.

CHECK IN: Check in is at 4 PM or later.
CHECK OUT: Check out is at 11 AM
PARKING: There are free private off-street parking spaces behind the house. Additional free on-street parking anywhere on the street in front of the house.

CAMERAS: In order to prevent parties, there are two Ring cameras on the property that record all motion in the front and back yards. They are attached to the front porch and back exterior wall of the house and face outward so they cannot record the interior of the house in any way.

A GRRRRReat stay!

What a fun place to stay! This pirate-themed home charming. Our hosts were great at communication and the home was so fun. Location was close to many things and the neighborhood was older but felt safe. Would stay here again!

Fun weekend excusion

Decent stay with a fun, warm, welcoming property close to downtown Columbus. It gave us a nice rasy location to get in, get out, and enjoy Columbus' nightlife, shows, bars, and restaurants in the area. Propery was cozy and nice with plenty of entertainment.

Perfect location for vising German Village/Short North/Downtown areas. Beds are very comfy. Not a lot of room to gather in the home itself

Perfect family home!

Perfect home for anyone traveling with kids! My girls loved everything about it! The home smelled so clean the moment we walked in. After being at the state fair for almost 5 hours in 91 degrees the house felt like heaven when we walked in! The host was amazing. Highly recommend!

Spring Break Pirate Adventure

The atmosphere and amazing detail with decorations throughout the house made this trip so exciting. It's like a fun scavenger hunt looking at everything, we even found Toodles' marbles. The hidden room was so cool. The beds were all extremely comfortable, the neighborhood is really quiet. We would definitely love to come back to stay on any future trips to Columbus. Wonderful hosts!

Cody and Sam went above and beyond to help us stay an extra day last week. This week, last minute they made it happen. Their hospitality *****. We were in town for work. Stayed at two of their homes. So fun, relaxing. All around , wonderful, just wonderful. Very happy All of us. We Thank you for everything.

The house had many things not correct or updated. I had to clean the house when we arrived and it had a half roll of oaper towel for the week. Also they fully stocked salt and pepper, with bad rusted pans and no aluminum foil to cook on. Im not sure we will be back to the area. I had to be on my toes every minute because the neighborhood was so bad. I gave him 2 stars because he did door dash a baby gate to the location because all the bedrooms and bathroom were upstairs. I didnt want my 2 year old dalling down the stairs in the morning. We left a day early because we just couldnt stay in the neighborhood any longer. He refunded me for that day.

An oasis and hideaway

Walking into this property you will not at first believe your eyes. The decoration and atmosphere is even better than the pictures! We stayed here for a business trip and we enjoyed absolutely every amenity! We drank rum at the ship bar, we played the games, and we galavanted around in the provided pirate hats. Even the outdoor space is spectacular! We spent most of our trip inside this house, and we just wouldn't have had it any other way. This is the kind of place that helps you build incredible memories. I sincerely hope these hosts have the chance to create even more themed properties, because they really hit the mark!

Fun place for family

Overall our stay was great. The area surrounding the neighborhood took us a bit by surprise, seemed a bit run down and made us a little apprehensive. However, we were no longer worried when we pulled onto the street this property is on. The particular street and immediately surrounding homes were nice and we felt safe and comfortable. The home was SO cool and very well decorated. Our kids absolutely loved it and had so much fun with the secret room. Beds were large and very comfortable. The house was nice and clean, but we wish the outdoor area was a bit more upkept. The ground was pretty uneven and it was hard for our toddler to get around and play. The outdoor tables were very dirty and dusty so we didn’t end up using them or sitting out there much. Although there is plenty of space for large families to sleep with all of the bedrooms, there isn’t much space in the common areas for everyone to hangout or play games. We didn’t find this to be a problem for us but just wanted to make that known because we didn’t pay much attention to that detail in the photos. Overall, great experience and the host was wonderful. We had a couple of questions and he was very responsive and quick to help. We would definitely stay here again maybe when our youngest gets a bit older.

Pirate House

Good time had by all in the Pirate house. Decorated as described with tons of video games great vibe. Only issue was the outdoor space, needs work. Should clean out the covered outdoor space and pull the weeds between the Astro turf.

Entertaining Place for a Columbus Stay

Hook's Lair was a great place for our weekend in Columbus. It truly feels like no detail was overlooked in the decorations, and the host was very responsive with the one minor issue we experienced. The nostalgic video game options were a bonus during the down time.

Awesome place!

Very cool rental property! Enjoyed all the board games with my husband & 3 teenagers. We loved the cornhole boards & outdoor spaces. The supplies available for use were very much appreciated, such as a few kcups for the coffee maker, toilet paper & paper towels. Often times i find those smaller items not available at other rentals. We really enjoyed the video games, kaleidoscopes, and books as well. The beds were very comfortable & I am not easy to please when it comes to beds. The only areas i see for improvement would be having a fan in the one bedroom that doesn't have much air circulation. We went and purchased a small fan & it made a big difference. And also the strict rules about not letting anyone come over that isn't on the original list. I did have a family member & her 3 kids come down to Columbus for dinner & would have loved to show then this amazing place, but didn't want to upset the owner. I understand that those rules are probably neccessary though. But honestly can't say enough good things about the place. Great location! We went to the zoo, the movies, rollerskating, laser tag, shopping downtown and an arcade all within a half hour drive! And awesome restaurants nearby! Loved the German village area! We played several of the board games & all the pieces were there. And the alexa was convenient for music. Having several large TVs was also a blessing because often times teenagers want to watch different shows. Thanks for a great week! We spent time with family & relaxed & had fun too! See you next time we visit our family in Ohio!

We meticulously and thoroughly renovated and modernized this century old brick Victorian home. We added luxury conveniences while integrating the home's original design with an entertaining Pirate theme throughout.
