Comfort in the city

Beautiful English basement, 1 bedroom plus den, conveniently located to downtown ( 15 mins drive by car and 20 mins by bus), public transit, local restaurants and grocery/convenience stores. The bedroom has a queen sized bed and the den has a queen sized Murphy bed that can be set up if needed.

Columbia Heights and Petworth Metro stations are an easy 15 min walk and you have access to three bus stops just 5 mins from the apartment. So, you can drop your bags, head out exploring and then come back to rest in comfort.
For safety there are outside security light cameras by each entrance to the property. If you’re booking with children, the minimum age for this apartment is 10 yrs.

Great stay! Amazing host! Lovely spot for me and my mom on a trip to DC. It’s very convenient to take the bus to amazing sightseeing. It’s not super close to a grocery store (about .6 miles away in foot).

Trip to DC

Very clean and comfortable stay. Aye was a very nice host and communicated with us well. My family walked to and from the Metro station every day to visit the DC attractions. No problems whatsoever. It was a great trip!

Great for a small group

Comfort in the City was perfect! Very clean and a good size for a small group. Aye was a wonderful host and easy to communicate with. The bus stop and market close by were convenient. We would stay again!

Great getaway to our nations Capital

Very cute place for a comfortable stay! Great location next to a corner market with very friendly owner and employees! Great pastries and coffee! Beds were very comfortable and nice to have washer and dryer for longer stays! Would definitely stay again! Thank you Aye!

Comfort and Convenience done right!

We had a great stay at Comfort in the City! Unloading was super easy, thanks to the no-parking zone right in front of the street-access unit. We never had any problem finding parking nearby during our stay.The space was very clean, tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked. We appreciated the welcome treats—water, coffee, teas, and even candy!The motion-sensor lights were a nice touch in the unit. The laundry area and kitchen had everything we needed. Aye was a wonderful hostess and was always available to answer questions when needed.With bus stops and a corner market nearby, the location was perfect. We highly recommend Aye's place and would love to return someday!

Vacation

It was comfortable and nice. It was a very nice place to come back to after a long day of visiting memorials and monuments. Also the market on the corner was very convenient. I would stay there again if I would visit DC again

Long weekend in DC

This place was fantastic and perfect for our long weekend in DC. It was so clean and had everything we needed for our family of 4. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of space to move around, the full kitchen and washer/dryer put it over the top! Easy walk to restaurants and public transportation. We would stay here again! The host was delightful!!

Perfect for a Short Trip to DC

Comfort in the City was wonderful! We spent two full days in and around the National Mall. The apartment was cozy for 4 people, but it was clean and comfortable, and a cool respite after hot summer days. It had everything we needed and Aye was a terrific host, communicating promptly throughout.

Amazing apartment!

This apartment was perfect for our family of four! Aye was so great giving advice and suggestions for DC. She was always available to answer Anya questions. The place was super clean and we felt safe right in the city! We will definitely stay there again on our next visit!!!

Stay here!!!

Ayo was the best host you could ask for in the city. She was extremely responsive and I had a lot of questions. The inside was very clean and well prepared for our visit. The neighborhood had some "sketchy" people, but we never had any issue!!! Also, the pink store to the right less than 800 ft away had some if the nicest people working there. The prices were very reasonable, too FYI. Overall, this was one of the better stays we have had and I would absolutely stay here again!

Great vacation

Aye is amazing. This apartment is very cozy, well set up and comfortable. If you’re planning on using public transportation, you’ve got several bus routes close to you within a 5 minute walk. You have a small store that has some baguettes and pastries almost next door. Very yummy The apartment is equipped with everything you need. Aye makes sure of that. She is very accommodating and communicative and so easy to work with! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you again Aye for everything!

Beyond my expectations!

All I can say is, wow! It was more than expected and then some. Check-in was easy. A big plus for me is that the entrance is at the front of the house compared to being in the rear or alley which is a plus when getting back late in the evening. Also, security lightning. Great location close to everything within 20 to 30 minutes especially Alexandria, VA. There’s a market a throw stone away which had the best egg and bacon croissant also they have bar which you can pregame for about an hour before heading out. Aye was great! Great instruction for an easy stay. Awesome shower, comfortable bed and the washer / dryer and ironing board / iron was a definite plus. Definitely lives up to its name, Comfort in the city! Will most definitely book again when back in DC!!

Excellent home away from home!

From the beginning of our contact with Aye, we felt at peace with our selection of "Comfort in the City" as a place to spend several days during a visit to our daughter in DC. Aye was an excellent communicator, both before and during our stay. She supplied us very useful information about local shopping and eating establishment. She went out of her way to make sure we had our parking permit, after I had forgotten to send her my vehicle information. By the way, we've had a number of trips to DC where we drove and had to deal with finding parking in residential areas. At "Comfort in the City", we had no problem finding parking, during our 5 night stay, on the same street or just around the corner (by the corner market). The apartment was very comfortable. There was abundant seating areas, a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table, and a very nice bedroom with a comfortable bed. We found the place to be very clean and well-stocked with the usual items needed for a stay like this. The easy, street-level access to the apartment was a wonderful surprise! The security of the place is excellent. The location is excellent and the neighborhood is great. It's conveniently located to take in the DC sights and happenings. On our walks and shopping, in the area, we encountered people who were very pleasant, helpful, friendly. Different than most large cities. We highly recommend staying at "Comfort in the City"! We stayed here in order to visit family in the hospital and the location was perfect for us. Easy access to the hospital but also to grocery stores and restaurants, and several routes to get to other parts of the city. The host is super responsive and helpful. The apartment is clean and modern and comfortable. A great place to stay!

Comfy and cozy

My husband and I came to visit family for birthday and a wedding anniversary celebration over a 5 day stay. I caught the subway which was a bit of walk with luggage but otherwise no problem. We rented a car and had no problems parking on an otherwise busy street. Only disappointment was a few items missing in the kitchen like a cutting board and something to make a salad in and food storage .. But our host was very accommodating and quickly responded to our wishes. Very comfortable and cozy

Truly Comfort in the City

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment. It was everything we needed and exactly as it was described in the post. It was quiet and cozy. The neighborhood is charming. There are a variety of eateries within walking distance. We found a charming market on the corner. We used Capitol Bike Share bikes to get around and there are several stations close to the apartment. Correspondence with the host was helpful and prompt. We definitely recommend the property. It truly was comfort in the city!

Beutiful apartment that can sleep up to 4 guests. Located in a great walkable neighborhood. Lots of restaurants, grocery, and convenience marts within 5-10 mins of walking. Only 15-20 mins drive to Downtown DC by car or bus. Easy access to public transportation, 2min walk to bus stop and 15min walk to metro. 10 mins walk to Washington Hospital Center and Children's hospital. 15 mins walk to Howard University.
