Suite # 6 - a smaller 1 bedroom unit that opens up to the living room: sleeps up to 4 people, but maximum 2 people are recommended if privacy is needed because it's smaller and the bedroom doesn't have a door that shuts. It's located in one of a kind small boutique rustic ocean and beach view Condo Hotel. All units have separate entrances from outside. This unit #6 is1 flight of outside stairs down from where you park your car along upper building. Please park behind office sign.
Completely furnished with full kitchen, small dining table and cozy real wood burning fireplace. The property is positioned around 75 ft. above sea level away from the busy street, nestled in quite, residential neighborhood with spectacular ocean and beach views...Short walk to the beach (5-7 min) or very short drive on the same road: free parking and bathrooms at Canyon dr. ocean front park. Fly kite, watch whales, collect rocks (agates can be found), stroll, bike, jog, walk, make a bonfire, watch wild life, relax listening to crashing waves and more. One of the best wide stretch sandy beaches in the area, where you can walk for miles.

Had dog hair and we didn’t have a dog. Everything was awesome, had a great time. Enjoyed our stay and the view! Host was excellent.

This is a charming, rustic spot with an incredible view from the window. It is located on a street that dead-ends at the ocean, with a nearby bench to sit and enjoy the sea. It's an easy walk down to the beach and feels like it's tucked away from the noise and traffic of the highway and downtown Lincoln City. Karina was very responsive when we had questions, and worked with us when we asked for a late check-out. One note: the place is rustic, which we are okay with, but it did not feel like it had been very well cleaned between guests, (we aren't particularly fastidious, but this place really needed swept and scrubbed). We would definitely make this a regular destination if it got a deep clean.

The Ocean was visible from the front living area, the kitchen, bedroom and kitchen area. It was a beautiful view and you could hear the Ocean while you slept. Location was close to everything and the fire was the icing on the cake.

Great view and friendly neighbors

The view from the windows were gorgeous and the beach and town was a short drive. House had everything we needed and neighbors were extremely friendly. The town was the friendliest place we've been in Oregon.

Things worked out well....it is an older property, but they are working on it and it was very clean. I loved it and will go back!

We really enjoyed the rustic ambiance and the views out our windows! The beach just down the way was wonderful, never overly crowded and delightful. We had a great rest and very sweet time! It would help to put a foot stool by the bed for accessing, as I am a short person and the bed is tall. We see ourselves visiting again.

Beautiful view of the ocean from my room and close beach access; neighbors complained when I left my dog in his crate and went to dinner the first night so I was not allowed to leave him in the room when I went places he was not allowed in. This prevented me from going to some places I had intended to

Room seemed really clean but it was needing some work done on rust on things. Fireplace was not really clean. Bed was nice but not very easy to get into, they have it up too high. The entrance and stairs are sketchy. The hand rail pulled away and I nearly fell while walking on slippery stairs. Parking is tight but the view is amazing and beach access is great. Overall I was okay but my husband thought otherwise.

Healing for my Soul

It was perfect. I needed time to reflect and come to terms with my husband's death. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The sunsets, crashing waves, and the smell of ocean air made an excelkent backdrop to allie myself to g a in acceptance. On another note, i was not close to many djoos, restaurants and other attractions as well. Thanks gor a wonderful stay.

Pictures were slightly deceiving as I did not know bedroom and living space is pretty much all combined. Within 30 minutes of arriving we attempted to warm up the oven and it started smoking. Thin walls, rat droppings , floor was obviously not throughly cleaned and could see crumbs under cabinets, very close to beach great view so I guess that’s why they can get away with doing the bare minimum. Won’t be returning or recommending.

Thin curtains thinner walls

Well first when we booked it said accommodates 4 but then when we booked for me, my wife and my daughter there was an extra $80 charge for having a 3rd person. Next the curtains are sheer which means when the sun is up you are up. Lastly you can hear everything through the walls and ceiling. We thought there was construction above us but it was just another family with a toddler. If you book here make sure you are on the top floor. Close to the beach and everything you’d want in town but it’s a small town so everything is close no matter where you are.

Pictures did not match what was advertised. Everything was unfinished, dog hair in corner. Something hairy in shower and sink. The outside of the oven was gross and the mirror was not clean. The floor was uneven and coming up which is a trip hazard. I didn't think it was worth want I paid

This unit is not worth over 100.00 a nite.

Bed is hard, bathroom towels are paper thin but it is when they diluted the liquid hand soap with 75 % water that really displayed how cheaply its ran. Did not appreciate hired yard workers 2 feet away from living room window all Sunday. Hard to enjoy the only view and place to sit when they're running tools right front of your window. Will never stay there again.

Sorry for your experience Caryl! We did not dilute the soap, not sure how it happened. May be previous guest did it if it didn't come out. As to repairs outside the unit we had to perform these to the roof due to upcoming rain and it is a 1 time thing, which will not repeat. Also we do have foams available to provide if guests prefer softer mattresses. I wish you told us about it so we could make your stay more comfortable. We also have other larger units if this one is not good for you. No.6 is our smaller unit, but has the best ocean view from each room, even from the bathroom window, and ocean view from several windows in the living room. Sorry if this unit was not for you and we apologize for work outside the unit, but we had to perform this work. We've been improving the property after management and ownership take over for better guests experience.

One Night in Lincoln City

The bench at the end of the road next to the property made my day!! The views from the bench and our room #6 were amazing. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would stay there again on our next visit.

love it love it love it

IF you are of certain age then you may appreciate older beach motels anywhere in the USA, of long days past, where everything was simple and wherever it was you felt like at home. Hideaway is such a place. We are fond of old hotels on the Oregon coast with real wood burning fireplaces. IT was the only thing that kept the place warm...back when. This place possesses a quaint charm, a hominess that is not available in "modern" motels. Yes, it is old, yes, it could be remodeled, but other than adding to a modern aesthetic, it would not anything to the experience, unless everything bright new and shiny is what rocks your boat. This place has everything for a romantic weekend or family get together. All the furniture is comfortable and the beds and pillows are as good as anywhere more modern new or twice as expensive. Yes, it might be small compared to a condo rental, but it has something they don't...coziness. You are on a bluff overlooking the entire spanse of beach and ocean, even sitting on the pot you are looking out down the beach and to the ocean. How great is that, there is a view everywhere. There is something to be said for a great view...this place has that in spades. A 10 minute walk down the road to the beach is no big deal. What you trade from overlooking a fantastic ocean view is that walk...no big deal. If you don't like to walk, then take the car, it is at the public access park down at the beach. The setting is a natural paradise...the only motel in an upscale residential neighborhood. It is so quiet even the local flock of crows don't ever squawk. It's got a full kitchen, everything works fine, even if it is not the most updated, it does the job. Even coffee is provided even though we bring our own. Our bathroom in Room 6 was small but with that view it opens up the small space where you hardly notice it. The location could not be more centrally or better located, close to 101 next to convenience gas store, grocery store, coffee shop and the Lincoln City outlet mall, all within a few blocks. How good is that. We highly recommend this place for people who want to experience what the old Oregon used to be. We love this place.

kitchen suggestion

Place was equipped as described, but have suggestions: Please provide a pot holder. Had to use a wash cloth-- not OK. Understand the antibacterial universal soap, but does it have to be dish soap everywhere? Dishes-Body-Hair....? seems like a poor choice. Check REI's Camping for their concentrate soap options.

Thank you for your review Nancy. I hope the caretaker did not make a mistake with dish soap in the bathroom. We currently only provide basic soaps in bottles, no shampoos, but will consider changing it in the future. I will address the issue with missing pot holder.

This is a clean but very old and shabby place. We didn’t end up staying, mostly because it was inaccessible to my mother because of the steep stairs.
