Stay on Lake Mcqueeney for The Bandit Golf Getaway or New Braunfels Tubing!

This summer the Lake McQueeney dam is under repair so the lake will be lower and not available for boating or jet skiing. There is still water to look at but not for water sports. Our waterfront home is big enough to share with a group of golfers, or with several families. It is located close to The Lake Breeze Ski Lodge, tubing at New Braunfels, Music & shopping in Gruene, and golf at The Bandit while being only an hour from San Antonio or Austin. Lake McQueeney is a dammed-up lake on the Guadalupe River and a great place to spend a week or a long weekend. Our cottage-style family home comfortably sleeps up to 17 guests in 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The views from the main house and boathouse outdoor decks are perfect. You will also enjoy a big yard for outdoor games, a ping pong table and dartboard in the walk-out basement "bonus room", and a large fire pit for family smores. The expansive deck off the top of the boathouse is great for sunning or stargazing. Come relax and catch some fireflies at Lake McQueeney.

River Trip

Great place for a group of 10 with extra beds! Super nice outdoor area, we brought outdoor games and built a fire, plenty of chairs! Great outdoor areas especially upper deck at night! Would highly recommend we had 2 families of 5 each from 14-55 and was perfect! Would love to come back!!

Great 4th of July stay

Two brothers' families stayed at this property over the 4th of July with ages ranging from 16 to 50. The location was ideal as it was right on the water. We were able to see fireworks from the top of the boat house. We had fun watching the boats cruise by, with festive decorations. Monica met us at the house for check-in and walked us through the property which was extremely helpful. The house is beautiful and the kitchen is well stocked. The teens (and dads) thoroughly enjoyed the rope swing. There is only one television in the house but we didn't mind as we were busy the entire time. We would definitely stay again.

Golf get-away weekend

We had 14 guys stay at this property for a golf/reunion weekend at The Bandit (10 minutes away). The house was exactly what we were looking for - enough beds for everyone, four bathrooms (all with showers), a big and well-equipped kitchen, and lots of space inside and out for us to spread out, chat about each day's golf game, and catch up with one another. And the A/C kept the place cool even though the thermometer hit 101 each afternoon. Monica, the owner, was fantastic to work with, and couldn't have been more helpful and responsive with anything we had a question about. The only downside was not being able to use the lake because of the ongoing repairs to the dam, but everyone was enthusiastic about visiting again when the water level is back up. If you've got a big group, this property will definitely work out great for you!

Great Getaway

We had three families of 4+ each gather at this house for a weekend getaway and we could be more please with our accommodations and our communications with Monica. We really appreciated the ability to use this house and the large shady trees were awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed the water and the amazing deck on the property (better than the pictures). There was ample seating around the house and on the deck. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for our group. The Kitchen was also well stocked, although we would have loved to have more Tupperware for leftovers and a few various items like bowls, but good enough for us to cook all our meals at the house. The beds and comforters were all comfortable. The A/C unfortunately didn't cool throughout the house evenly, however was decent considering the age of the house. We would gladly go back here and enjoy the river over and over.

Amazing place on McQueeney

We had 6 adults and 6 kids and there was more than enough room for us to spread out. Property is so much better than you can see in pictures. Clean, quiet and lovely little spot. Had a boat pick us up right from our dock and enjoyed the area very much. We will gladly book this again for our annual summer trip!

Great house!

We had a great time with our 18-20 year old kids at this home. Great location and yard, plenty of room to spread out. The dock is an amazing place to hang out and swim or sit up top and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
