Nestled in the heart of farming country in Kansas, this quiet family home is a perfect relaxing retreat. Located in a clean quiet family neighborhood located just off Main Street in McPherson, there is a water park within 3 miles and a grocery store just a few blocks away. With sleeping for up to 8 people, you can bring the whole family for a weekend of quiet country drives or visiting all central Kansas has to offer. The fully equipped kitchen and nearby grocery store makes it easy to prepare meals for a large crowd. Gatherings around the fireplace in the winter or the patio with fenced back yard in the summer makes for great family evenings. There is also a variety of family friendly games to enjoy such as dominos, scrabble, ping pong and foosball.

This home is also equipped with many handicap accessible features such as grab bars in the master bath, a walk-in shower and an entry ramp in the attached garage.

McPherson has many of the conveniences of the big city without the big city traffic. With Wichita only an hour away, and Hutchinson and Salina only 30 minutes away there are many things to see and do.

Spacious and comfortable

Our family enjoyed our stay very much! We had plenty of space for a large family meal. The kids, young and old, enjoyed the ping pong available in the basement. We felt welcomed with a few snacks and beverages and the amount of kitchen gear available for preparing meals.

Family getaway

We chose the area because they had four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bathroom did not have a shower, but it made it easy for everybody to get around ping-pong table and foosball down below. Good location.

Fit the Bill

The beds are double size, so if you're spoiled on something larger...comfortable enough, though. Main bathroom only has a tub, no shower. The 8 of us made it work, though. Plenty of clean space for us and were even able to have our son's fiancé's family of 8 over for dinner a couple of days before their wedding. Good communication. Worked out fine for what we needed.

The house was exactly what we were needing. Excellent accommodations for our son who is in a wheelchair. Plenty of room and space to relax. So glad we found this rental. We will be booking the next time we are in McPherson!

Very comfortable and fun accommodations

The house was clean and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with everyday staples. The hosts generously got us started with some farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator. The beds were comfortable and the towels were soft and absorbant. The tvs, ping pong table, Foosball table, and mini skeeball game provided ample opportunity for entertainment and decompression. Proximity to grocery and convenience stores was a real bonus. The neighborhood was bursting with bunnies, which was delightful to all of us. I would absolutely consider staying in this home again.

Disappointed

So the grass wasn’t mowed when we got there and was annoying at our outdoor graduation party but we didn’t say anything. Then the day after they came and mowed. Umm NO! You do that before we get there or at least wait until after we leave, so RUDE! The house wasn’t dusted. The outside wasn’t clean. I had to wipe down patio table. Then my elderly mom went to sit on the built in bench and almost fell cause his was loose. Very dangerous especially since house advertising is as handicap safe and wasn’t. Old food left in cabinets and no room for kitchen and food we had to store. Very disappointing don’t recommend.

Comfortable stay

We had plenty of room for our family to stay while in town for a wedding. It was nice to have a full kitchen and also games in the basement for the kids. It was conveniently located and the owner was great to communicate with. Farm fresh eggs in the fridge were delicious!

The property is centrally located in a nice, clean, safe, & quiet neighborhood. The home was fully stocked and extremely comfortably to meet needs of our adult family of 4 couples. The owners were most responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Perfect home away from home!

This home if full of nastalgia! The neighborhood is so peaceful. We enjoyed our visit so much, Gene & Cassie let us extend out stay 3 more days!!!! We will DEFINITELY be renting this beautiful home again!!

Wonderful family home!

Loved this home to spend our long State wrestling weekend with family and friends! The place was wonderfully taken care of and clean! Had everything we couldve needed to stay home away from home. Would/will stay there again!
