This private 600sf studio located mid-island, at Cruzan Gardens, is surround by tropical foliage and features a king-sized bed, a/c, professional grill within outdoor dining/patio area, granite counters in kitchenette with coffee maker, travertine floors and large glass 2-person shower. Views of historic mill within spacious mature landscaped grounds. A peaceful spot with nature to reset and rejuvenate with modern touches. Conveniently located to all St. Croix has to offer.


Located on 14 acres, plant lovers will find large tropical foliage, palm field, a scenic mill, a plethora of fruit trees and blooming plants throughout the year. Enjoy star gazing, bats working at dusk and the Rain Forest, historical sights and world class beaches and restaurants only a short drive in any direction, allowing guests to take advantage of everything St. Croix!


Cruzan Gardens is a WORKING Nursery/landscape company - the studio is private but is adjacent to where workers will be performing periodic duties. Owners will make every effort to respect guests' privacy and quiet space.


Property is gated- guests will be provided an automatic gate opener to access 24/7 parking in the retail parking area. There is a short walk from the parking area to the studio on the property. Guests will need to be physically capable of walking a short distance from their vehicle to the studio.

I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay for my solo scuba certification trip to St. Croix! I would absolutely stay here again. The place is the perfect and the property is absolutely beautiful! Ken is a great host.

My husband and I visited for his Family Reunion. We absolutely love the house. It was close to all the activities. It’s a private, and secure hidden treasure. Ken was so cool! Extremely nice and accommodating. Jose, one of the staff members had the most pleasant smile, and welcoming demeanor. After finding out more about his family, we believe he may be related. His and my husband’s last names are the same and they are from the same neighborhood. We had great conversations with Ken and Jose . We would definitely stay at this location again. Peaceful get away

If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful this is the place to stay. I enjoy the fruits and birds on the property. I woke up to birds singing which was absolutely beautiful. If I needed anything Ken was there to help. I will absolutely book my vacation here again!!

Beautiful setting mid island, close to everything with everything you need

Ken's place at Cruzan Gardens was fantastic. The place was a roomy efficiency with a large bathroom, all the necessities and a very comfortable king size bed. The outdoor kitchen was great, we grilled steaks and shrimp for the Superbowl. Beach chairs and towels were included which was awesome. the kitchen was stocked with oil and spices. The tap water is drinkable thanks to an installed filtration system. Our little cottage was very private despite being located in an operational garden center business. We had our own well manicured lawn and what felt like our own little sugar mill which was just steps away from our front door. Ken was a fantastic host. 5/5 stars highly reccomend.

Getaway on short notice

Beautiful setting in a tropical garden was relaxing. This is a comfortable place for 2 people. Very quiet save for some neighborhood dogs barking occasionally. We'd go back.

Tranquil and comfortable

Set amongst beautiful gardens, this one bedroom bungalow was the perfect setup for me during my visit to St. Croix. Well equipped with a very comfortable bed, spacious shower, nice outdoor kitchen and dinning area, the property exceeded my expectations. I will go back again if I return to St. Croixand

Beautiful quite bungalow

We were there celebrating our Anniversary and this is perfect location mid island. Ken was so helpful when we arrived and then we were left on our own. Loved the outdoor area and all the beautiful flowers. We will be back!

Relaxing and beautiful

PERFECT!! We loved our stay at Ken’s place. The place was centrally located, quiet and beautiful. The outdoor kitchen was well stocked and had tropical gardens surrounding.

Tropical Oasis

I have stayed at many different VRBO places and this probably at the top of my list! It was everything I had imagined and more! The cottage was absolutely beautiful inside and out! It was very convenient to everywhere I wanted to go and the host was beyond friendly and helpful! I had a cancelled flight to go home and with a short text I was able to return to the cottage for the night and was offered a ride back to the airport if needed. I would stay here over and over again! Thank you!

Could have stayed forever!

This place is a dream. I am so glad we happened to find it with the dates that worked for our trip, seems like a miracle there was a gap in their calendar. We were so blessed by our time here! I could have spent another week just enjoying the property grounds and really feeling at home while on vacation. Ken went above and beyond to assist us on multiple occasions! He is truly an amazing host and an irreplaceable wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things horticulture. Even if you don't know the slightest thing about gardening, you'll be glad to stay here to soak in the natural world around you. I cannot recommend this place enough! Hope to return some day very soon! Thank you Ken for the hospitality!

Cruzan Garden Cottage

Wonderful private cottage experience. Set within a gated garden, this was perfect for access to groceries, diving and relaxation. Ken was a great host.

The Nursery

I stayed 8 days in a cottage located on a large Nursery , approximately 14 acres. If you enjoy nature, this is the place for you. Gate locks after hours. You receive a gate opener so that you may enter and leave at any time. Ken is the owner. Really nice gentleman and easy to talk to. Met his wife as well. Recommend it highly for nature lovers!!

You're crazy not to take advantage of this place.

We've stayed a tons of house-share places and this has to be one of the best experiences. The location on the island is fantastic. Very central to just about about everything. The owners went out of their way to provide us with everything we needed, including purchasing new beach equipment that was extremely useful. It is the most amazing setting in the middle of a huge botanical garden. Communication was almost immediate and they gave us several suggestions of where to eat, what to do, etc. Everything was very clean and the shower was huge (despite having very little water pressure but I'm sure that's just a condition of living on an island). If we ever went back, we would certainly look forward to staying here again.
