Charming bungalow studio with jungle views close to the beach!

Nestled between the verdant mountains and golden beaches of Kauai’s North Shore, Hanalei Happy Place Bungalow is a moment’s walk to world-famous Hanalei Bay, with its two miles of sandy beach, crystal clear swimming, surfing and breathtaking waterfall views. It is located in the heart of charming Hanalei town, with its world-class restaurants, art galleries and shopping. Hanalei Happy Place Bungalow has Hawaiian decor and Koa wood floors. This hidden gem is perfect for a picturesque getaway.

For the nights when guests decide to stay in and prepare a home cooked meal, there is a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of space and utensils for food preparation. When it comes time to cozy up at the end of the day, the Bungalow has a queen-size bed, topped with light, airy linens. From the bed, guests have views of the surrounding tropical garden. The Bungalow has air-conditioning, WiFi, cable tv and laundry amenities for convenience.

Hanalei Happy Place Main House is an attached two bedroom home that can be booked in conjunction with this rental. Please note, there are 2 security cameras in public spaces located at the carport entry and at the front door entry, used only for safety and security reasons.

*Note there are two units on the property. Both are vacation rentals. Hanalei Happy Place Bungalow and Hanalei Happy Place Main house.

Beautiful Beachfront Bungalow

Great place, decorated with Hawaiian memorabilia, hear the birds chirp in the morning, watch the sky change colors at dusk. Great location, all the amenities would definitely stay again

Great quiet property. Never an interruption from the attached, but no shared wall, neighbor. Felt very private. Beach is SO close, can walk with a beverage in hand for sunset. Chairs, towels and umbrella provided! The space felt larger than in the photos! Don’t let studio fool you - plenty of space. Wonderful stay.

Lovely stay

Perfect spot for a couple, short walk to the beach and very clean. Provided nice beach supplies already packed up in a cart. Would stay here again!

A Lovely Spot!

We had a terrific time. The location was as perfect - close to the beach and an easy walk to shops & restaurants. Would have given them 5 stars for everything, but internet was down and there wasn’t a backup plan for communicating with them. Everything else was great!

The Beautiful Sounds of Kauai

Located in a residential neighborhood but the feel of an isolated setting. The views from all the windows were of greenery and mountains. We could see a portion of one house across the street. And the sounds from the birds were wonderful. Only a couple of blocks from our favorite beach. Load the wagon with beach chairs, umbrella, and bugey boards.

This is an excellent location and we walked to the beach and town easily several times. This really added to the Hanalei experience that we had not had form past stays further from town. The one room studio was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. The only disappointment was the lack of an outdoor sitting area to enjoy that experience in the mornings/evenings. That could be accommodated by building a small patio behind the bungalow in a grassy area. We brough chairs back there but felt like we were sitting in the owner's backyard (they were never home, so no issue).

We had originally planned to stay almost twice as long in a larger location in Dec but when we rescheduled, our stay was shortened as the daily rate had increased greatly. That did result in a bad taste for the property. But the place was sufficient for us two and was clean and convenient to the beach and town. The house is difficult to find in the dark as the street number is not visible from the street. And there was no one available at the emergency number. Overall we enjoyed our stay but thought it was overpriced.

There was a slow running toilet for which management had arranged to have plumber arrive the first full day of the stay. Minor inconvenience that was repaired well. Cleaners at mid stay were friendly and did excellent work. The property is easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Easy to park a car and get anywhere on the island. I enjoyed being on the north shore which felt less busy than other places, although the restaurants did get busy at typical times. Would stay here again.

Definitely A HAPPY PLACE!!!!

Very comfortable for 2 people. Close walk to both the beach and Hanalei. Owners provide beach chairs, umbrella and buggy to take to the beach. Washer and dryer in the garage too! Cleaning service was provided several times during our longer stay. The only issue is that there is not great outdoor space to hang out at the bungalow. View is fabulous and gardens are gorgeous. Loved our stay!
