Located in the Laughing Pines resort off of Walden's Creek, Piney Hop cabin is approximately 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge, Dollywood & Splash Country, and 20 minutes from either Townsend, Gatlinburg, and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Offering paved roads all the way to the resort area this cabin would be considered motorcycle friendly. Available parking for up to 3 vehicles.

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that sleeps 8 is 2 levels. There are 2 steps up to reach the main level. On this level, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with an open floor plan and dining for 8, living area with a couch, 2 chairs, gas fireplace, and a TV built into the wall above the fireplace. There are 2 spacious bedrooms, 1 king, and 1 queen, each with a 42-inch flat screen TV and a shared full bath with a walk-in shower.

In the upper level, you will find the master king bedroom with a 42-inch flat screen TV. There is a full bath with a walk-in shower, as well as a jacuzzi tub. The open loft game room features a 2-player arcade with over 15,000 titles, foosball table and a queen pull out sofa bed.

There is a large wrap around deck that offers 2 patio swings and rocking chairs, as well as the relaxing hot tub. Offering beautiful wooded views any time of the year.

If you are looking for the perfect place to gather with friends or family, minutes away from all of the area attractions, Piney Hop would be your ideal vacation haven. Pine Hop is also within walking distance of a private catch-and-release pond with no license required.

The perfect getaway cabin! After a day fighting the crowds in town, it was so nice to just kick back and relax here on the couch next to the fire. This place was beautiful and perfectly located just outside the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge. The area was SUPER QUIET but only about a 10 minute drive to the main drag. The host was super attentive and quickly responded to any questions we had. We'll definitely be back!

Cabin was clean. Plenty of space. Property and surrounding area is wooded and pretty quiet. Location was good…close to Dollywood, The Island, etc. The floor was badly warped in the main hallway of the house. Not sure if it was due to previous water damage or protruding tree roots under the foundation. Very bad tripping hazard. Booking process was hassle-free. Hosts kept in touch with us before and during our stay. Only issue was the wavy, warped floor boards on the first floor. Otherwise, we had an enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed staying here. Far enough out to be away from the hustle and bustle but cloae enough to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The deck offers so many different places to sit and relax. We will definitely book here again.

Convenient and comfy

The location was very convenient to the main strip and close to other destinations we visited. The house was cozy and had plenty of space for our group with six adults and two small toddlers. The wrap around porch quickly became a favorite! We had a minor issue with the lock during our stay but the property manager resolved it very quickly so it didn’t impact our stay.

Not the quiet mountain retreat we had hoped for

Pros - The cabin is cute w/the large covered porch. The road is paved & easy drive to cabin, location to Pigeon Forge is good. The porch swings are nice. Cons - The not so good that I wish was in a review, we were wanting a quiet retreat to sit on porch outside & this was not it. The back of the house & firepit are next to the main road (trees block this view in pictures). We heard several emergency vehicles on different nights on this road from inside the bedroom. Then you have the regular traffic of cars/trucks coming & going through out the evening & morning. Then there was only one hand towel & one kitchen towel left for us to use for almost a weeks stay. And I don’t want to do laundry every day just for hand towels on vacation. Also the linens on one of the beds are dark brown & they ask that you leave the linens on the bed when you check out. When we got into this bed the first night there was something rough, like crumbs/dirt at the foot of the bed on top of the fitted sheet, makes me wonder if the sheets are washed after every visitor?? And the shower in the bathroom downstairs had a large black ring around the drain area & floors needed a good cleaning. The sink in this bathroom also did not drain well. The house was “picked up” but not cleaned well. The bath towels also had an odor to them, not sure what it’s from. In one bedroom downstairs the one & only nightstand next to the bed does not work & nor does the plug for your devices work on this nightstand.

The area is beautiful and the location is very convenient. The property was clean and well maintained, and the hosts were very helpful in helping us clear up an issue with the door code. Would highly recommend!

Nice cabin and location

Very nice cabin and a great location. Private yet close to stores and attractions. The fire pit was where we spent the most time, it was very relaxing an we loved the set up. You could watch and hear the geese flying overhead and the occasional rooster from a neighboring farm.

Last trip with our mother

We rented this cabin to take our mother to for a few days while she was on hospice. The cabin was clean, we had everything we needed and it was as described. Would definitely stay here again.

Christmas Getaway

We were looking for a place for a pre-Christmas getaway and loved every second. The unexpected Christmas tree was a festive touch. Our GPS took us through some curvy back streets but still close to civilization. It's location added to the charm and we would rent again.

Enjoyable Stay!

This cozy cabin just outside the hustle/bustle of the busier Pigeon Forge area is why we enjoyed this place. It was a close enough drive to get to the main attractions without being in much of the craziness. The cabin wasn't large, but it had plenty of space for the five of us.The host welcomed us with a nice basket of goodies from the local food pantry and there was a beautiful Christmas tree near the fireplace which added a nice touch during the season.We especially liked the wrap around porch with hot tub and porch swings that were relaxing! A couple of us tried to fish at the local pond but nothing was biting.We did venture into Gatlinburg and hiked a few trails in the Smoky's which were fun. We also took a fun drive to Cades Cove hoping to see more wildlife. We did see some deer but the views were amazing.All in all, we loved the location of the property and the cabin comforts while enjoying our stay close to the Smoky Mtns. It was a perfect getaway for some R&R.

Nice cabin

It is a nice cabin if you have a vehicle and are comfortable driving in the mountain. Was not able to get ubers or taxis from the location. Maybe due to being the week of Thanksgiving. The home was clean and comfortable.

Bizarre Stay

I know many people have stated this, but the amount of beds listed is not the amount in reality. The 4th is a couch. I know it’s because of VRBO but still annoying. The property is beautiful for sure. The hot tub and fire pit are awesome. The inside was smaller than I thought, though no fault to anyone. the issues came with minor things. The ceiling in one of the bedrooms was leaking from the upstairs bathroom. The kitchen sink was clogged from the very start of our stay, the grill was so rusty it was unusable, The communication from the owner was great in the beginning for the ceiling, but was not told if anyone would come out so we assumed no one came out to ever fix it.Which was inconvenient and led us to only using the downstairs shower shared for 6 people.. It’s not that this was a bad stay, it was just super bizarre and kind of inconvenient knowing how many other solid properties there are in the area

Beautiful cabin in the woods

Beautiful cabin. Hot tub on the deck is old but works. Kitchen pots and pans are old and scraped Teflon. Overall experience was good. Loved the bonfire pit. Close to Dollywood and all the attractions.
