After arriving by road (motorway 5 minutes from the cottage), train or plane (10 minutes from the cottage), you will be able to enjoy moments that we hope will be unforgettable: our cottage LE REPAIRE has been designed for this.
Let's start at the beginning: when the gate opens, you will discover our 18th century stone house and the beginning of the 6000m² park surrounded by high walls.
We live on site, but in a separate part of the house from the gite, with our own parking and garden.
Surrounded by trees, a private parking lot for 6 vehicles awaits you with 2 sockets to recharge your electric vehicles.
You will then be able to take possession of the authentic and atypical cottage but let's linger on the park first.
Close to the parking lot awaits you a bowling green nestled under the trees (great to avoid sunburn), not far from the secure swimming pool (but not heated, it's better to cool off in the middle of summer....) with its adjoining terrace and the summer kitchen to relax out of sight. We provide a Weber barbecue. Behind the swimming pool appears the park, with its hundred-year-old trees (lime tree, sequoia, ginkgo biloba, Judas tree...), which will lead you to the river by a secure access. Now that you have come back from the riverside (150m to the house all the same, you may have had time to meet Tic and Tuc the squirrels, Raymond the hedgehog or to hear Madame Pic Vert), you can push the door of the cottage. In the charm of the old, 320m² decorated by the lady of the house are available to you. You will discover in turn its TV room (TNT and Canal+ channels), its games room with table football and darts, its living room with parquet floor and its fireplace (note that all the rooms on the first floor and the bedrooms upstairs have fireplaces otherwise it would not be a real 18th century house). In winter, you will feel the gentle warmth of the geothermal heating. A fitted and equipped kitchen for 14 people also awaits you. You can navigate from the kitchen to the summer kitchen and the swimming pool via the dovecote steeped in history... Of course, you won't have to do the dishes (unless you really want to) because there is a dishwasher. Coffee machines with capsules and pods as well as a (kitchen) robot also await you.
Via a wide staircase, you will access the floors with parquet and stone floors. The bedrooms are all spacious (minimum 20m², they liked the space in the 18th) and 2 are equipped with shower rooms. Except for one to the east (perfect for getting up at the same time as the sun), they are all south facing with views of the trees and nature. On the 2nd floor, one of the bedrooms is a dormitory for 4 people, for children or for adults. To sleep well, all the windows are double-glazed, and the curtains are blackout.
Wifi is present on all floors via repeaters.
You may find it difficult to get out of this haven of peace.
However, don't forget that we are 5 minutes from the Futuroscope Park and its Aquascope, the 6000-seat Arena-Futuroscope room, 10 minutes from Poitiers, just an hour from the Marais Poitevin and the Loire castles, 1h30 from La Rochelle, 1h45 from the Puy du Fou... and less than 1 hour from many other things to do in the Vienne (tourist sites, spa, picturesque villages). A shopping area is also a few minutes away (shops, restaurants). If you wish to ask for a caterer, or even a cook in the cottage, a person for massages, you will have to ask us in advance (and it is not included in the price of the accommodation). For your comfort, you can stay until 3pm on the day of your departure.
As you can see, we will do our best to ensure that you keep memories of relaxation, rest and laughter from this place. In return, we specify that we do not want noise pollution (no parties, outdoor music for example) in order to maintain a good understanding with the neighborhood and the quality of life that we appreciate so much.
