we were very happily surprised after reading the negative reviews!Yes room is small and maybe not suitable for a long stay if with someone. We stayed one night and it was perfect 1 Great location, clean and friendly staff

Dirty

Room and hotel overall was very dirty. Water came out brown when you turned it on at first. This was from out the sink and shower and the AC went out for a entire day. We had no hot water for 3 days. We were offered no refund for this awful stay.

Location was EXCELLENT - a half block from Times Square, close to theaters, Dunkin across the street and an ice cream/bar/restaurant attached! Check in and bell staff were very friendly. Don't expect rooms to be ready early because check out is noon and it seems people stay until the last minute! You can store your bags with the bellman, though, and set off to explore. The lobby is beautiful, rooms are clean, plenty of hot water in the shower ... the bed was not comfortable and springs squeaked at every opportunity but we were only there for one night so it was ok; could have used a warmer blanket; very noisy outside at night with horns honking, supplies being dumped in the street all night and Times Square revelry - the duct tape at the window didn't keep the noise out but, hey, we're in New York! The bellman assisted with transfer to EWR and it was cheaper than Uber. If you are embarking or disembarking from a cruise the Manhattan Pier is about 10 minutes away. For the price point compared to neighbor hotels this is the place you want to be. We will stay here again if ever in New York.

Small but clean and functional

Was a bit surprised to be charged an additional $38 dollars for booking with a “third party”. Some day I’d like to pay only what I’m told in advance. Someday…..

Overbook and Sent to Different Hotel First Night

I prepaid for 4 nights and when I arrived for check in, they said they didn't have any more rooms. So they sent me to another hotel down the street saying I could stay over the for all 4 nights, but upon arrival there, the new hotel said I can only stay for night and I would have to go back to the other hotel. Overall worse check in experience ever.
