Charming Lake City with a variety of restaurants, town and beach are just a quick drive. All towels and linens provided. Kitchen has all you need to cook and eat with propane gas grill off back deck. Home Away From Home!

Loved our stay here! It was very clean, quiet, and well maintained! The kitchen was well stocked with many utensils and cooking/serving supplies. It is located in an area that is an easy drive to the surrounding areas. I definitely recommend staying here!

Nice house in quiet neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay in Lake City. The house is very clean and comfortable, love the back deck and even with just the two of us the two bathrooms came in handy! Nice big driveway, which we appreciated since, due to some travel disruptions, we ended up with two rental cars.

Great house

We positively loved this house. It was very clean and spacious. We cooked several times and there was everthing we needed. Property owner was very helpful and house was everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Very clean house with nice deck, good and quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Good communication with owner. Washer & dryer would be nice but there is a good laundromat in town. Highly recommend.

Very clean. Could use handrails in both bathrooms tub and shower area. Seniors need rails to hold on to. In description should have said No Central air. One window unit only. Batteries dead in one remote. We would have given a 5 star but the above items suggested 4 stars. Would recommend to others.

Thanks for being pet friendly

The house was clean, had all supplies, Roku TV, kitchen supplies, and the couches and bed were comfortable. Most importantly it allowed our new puppy to stay on vacation with us on short notice when our puppysitter canceled. The only negative was the neighbors dogs run loose and one dog came running into the yard and at us without warning. It seemed friendly and nothing happened, but it was a little startling to our puppy. She was scared to go outside after that. A note in the house did provide warning of this so I don't fault the VRBO owner.

Perfect Place to Stay!

Great home close enough to everything yet far enough away from downtown so as to avoid any noise and /or lights. My husband & I, adult daughter and spouse loved the quiet street, where you are able to get a good night's sleep. We sat out back on the deck in the mornings for coffee, loved the rocking chairs and umbrella. If you sit outside at night, you will see a dome like sky filled with stars, more stars than you have ever seen in your lifetime. We even saw numerous shooting stars - it was magnificent! The host, Laurie, was wonderful, easy to get ahold of if you have any questions or need anything, her home is clean and she provides an easy check in and check out process. We were concerned it would be warm with air conditioning only in the master bedroom but even though it reached mid 80's during the day, nighttimes were in the 50's so we did not need the a/c. Laurie provided fans just in case but honestly, we had zero issues. The home remained cool. We rented a pontoon boat from Lake City Marine & Sports just around the corner on S. Green road, met them at the public dock, and spent the day on the Lake. In town, the Patio restaurant on Main Street had good food, service, and live entertainment. The Moon Bakery also on Main St (a few doors down) opened up at 7am with a lovely coffee selection and breakfast items inclusive of 'gluten free' options (a must for our family). We drove 5.5 hours to Lake City, Michigan just for a family reunion but we DEFINITELY plan to come back to this little gem of a home and town on Lake Missaukee. What a splendid weekend :) Thank you Laurie for hosting us! Lisa

Great Location

House is in great location. We had family staying at a cabin in Lake City and needed some extra space. House was 5 minutes away so we were able to be with family during the day in the lake and then have a nice comfy place to come back and sleep and relax a bit. Very clean and comfy.

A nice getaway

We had a fantastic time in Northern Michigan and loved coming back to this wonderful home at the end of each day. It was very cozy, clean and had all the amenities we needed! Lake City was a nice, quaint town. A little further from the Traverse City area than we thought, it ended up not being a huge issue because we traveled all over the place anyway!

Charming

What a great little house and property! The description was exactly as listed. The house is nestled on a quiet little road, but close to the restaurants and other stores downtown. It’s about an hour drive to Traverse City which was nice! The house was very clean and anything you may need was provided. Laurie was an absolute angel and very easy to communicate with. She was prepared with a nice list of local restaurants and stores which we definitely utilized. Thank you for a great stay!

The house was very clean and felt very warm and welcoming, at home feel.

We will definitely book again with the house and stay for a week or longer. The best part is we got a chance to bring our new puppies (2 -10 week old) and the home was very accommodating to our needs with them ❤ The host knew how special our weekend was and to bring our new babies with us and also provide an "extra special touch" for us had a nice bottle of Mimosa waiting for us and a nice letter wishing us relaxation and enjoyment. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back up.
