Please read entirely. Welcome to THE TOASTED MARSHMALLOW! Nestled quietly on a wooded lot in FABULOUS DEEP CREEK LAKE in the charming town of Oakland, Maryland. Enjoy your stay at our accommodating AND relaxing deep creek home which includes three bedrooms with king beds, two full baths (one with a shower and one with a shower and bathtub). 2 bedrooms are on second floor with one full bathroom, this is a loft area that looks over the large open floor plan of Livingroom. The third bedroom is on main floor with another full bath (shower only). Large deck with table/grill and view of deep creek through the peaceful tree lines, fully equipped eat in kitchen, washer and dryer, linens, towels, firepit and shared dock. Fyi there are several tiers of steps leading to the boat dock. (APPROX 96 and can be steep) 4X4 VEHICLES ARE A REQUIREMENT IN WINTER SEASON, THE ROAD TO OUR DRIVEWAY IS A STEEP HILL, roads and driveway typically NOT maintained. The Property is just minutes from shopping, restaurants, Deep Creek State Park, boating, skiing etc.!!!!!

Weekend getaway

Wonderful weekend getaway. Property is as described. Very clean. Nice amenities. Plenty of kitchen utensils and dishes provided. Keurig present. Bathrooms stocked with essentials. Front deck is great place to relax. Inviting large fire pit. Docks and stairs leading to dock as described. Enjoyed our stay. Would book again.

Gem on the lake

The property was exactly as advertised. The hosts were very responsive and the dock access was fabulous. Great day. Look forward to coming back!

Girls trip

We absolutely loved it, house was just what we needed and had everything. Host was awesome she was very helpful and left us some great places to eat and visit. We came for my daughter’s 21st bday girls trip w her girlfriends and their moms,we had a blast. Stayed up all night talking and laughing and went skiing at Wisp the next day which was a blast. We will be back and gonna try to come in Summer months. Highly recommend this place

Great Stay

This place was great! We went with our 3 kids for a long weekend here. The owner was super friendly and very helpful throughout entire process. The property was very clean, comfortable and conveniently located to all the deep creek amenities. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Perfect for our Girlie Weekend!!! 10/10 for sure!

I rented this property for a girls trip & it was perfect! Communication with the owner was great. She responded very quickly and answered all questions. We loved the fact that the house has a dock. The house does not have AC down stairs and it was something we were worried about but there are plenty of fans provided so we ended up being just fine. Property was very clean and check in/out process was super simple. Would 100% recommend this place and hope to stay again soon! 😊

Super cute and relaxing stay!

We went up for President’s Day weekend and had a blast. We had three couples and it was perfect for us. The host was amazing with communication and the house was adorable and clean! We’re already trying to rebook during the summer.

Great for a girls weekend

We stayed here just for the weekend and this house was great for that. We used the fire pit and sat on the deck both nights. The house was comfortable and clean. The hike down to the lake is no joke…if you have any issues with stairs, this is not the place for you. But once you’re down at the lake, the dock is perfect and private and very nice. Thank you for having us!

Wonderful Home in a Charming Secluded Spot

This is a charming mid-size home tucked away in a pretty woodsy spot in a quiet region of Deep Creek Lake. The home is charming, cozy and clean. We loved it and had a great time there.

Wonderful!

This house was just as described! We enjoyed staying here, and the space was clean and roomy. Frances is a great host and very quick to respond to any needs! Her space is well decorated with the cutest decor! There were many utensils in the kitchen to cook with, and she provided soap, TP, laundry detergent, and other items! She also left stuff for smores and lots of firewood! The rooms are big and open, and the living room is also spacious. The deck is perfect and very large. The outdoor space is perfect for sitting around the fire and the bear toasting a marshmallow is the coolest thing! We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone!

Very clean and cute place

We had a great time and honestly could have stayed the whole week! Host was responsive and thoughtful. Only thing to mention is to make sure you bring your 4 wheel drive vehicle as she mentions! I overlooked that part and had trouble getting up the driveway in the snow but totally my fault! Host communicated quickly and even reached when she knew wisp was selling out of tickets. Highly recommend would stay again!

What a great relaxed time

From booking to asking questions about WiFi, weather , etc Frances answered all of my text on the app in a timely fashion. The home was beautiful inside and out. The host had wood, coffee , and other essential items for our stay. We really enjoyed ourselves

Perfect house and excellent location

This was our first time to Deep Creek and this house was perfect. There were 5 of us total and we had plenty of room. The location is perfect- near everything we needed. The boat dock worked out nicely- we launched our boat from the state park about 3 miles away and left it docked for the days we were there. The host was very easy to get a hold of and very helpful. Overall, I give this property a 5/5.

Beautiful property with a great location!

Our family was extremely happy with this property and the location to the lake. It was very peaceful. The house was super clean and the grounds were kept very nice. The fire pit was awesome. Perfect for cooking & smores! The deck was great with a nice big table to eat and relax on. The property manager was quick to respond to my questions and was available if we needed her for anything. Which we didn't because everything was provided for us. Check in & out was super easy. If we ever return to Deep Creek Lake we will be staying here for sure!

Lovely house in a great location

This is a lovely house in a great location - central to everything. The bedrooms are all good size and love that there is a king size bed in every room. Owner was very responsive to questions and the house was very clean. No A/C but when you turn on all the fans and open the windows at night the house cools right down. Highly recommend.

Great Escape

Our family had a great time here. Overall, it was exactly as described and even more. Bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. House was clean and well stocked. As stated, the stairs to the pier were pretty steep and had multiple tiers. One thing we overlooked in the listing is there is no air conditioning. This wasn’t an issue for us, as the weather was beautiful and the house is well shaded. However, noteworthy if you will be visiting during the dog days of summer. Additionally, the driveway is a bit steep and may cause difficulty if hauling a large boat or during winter weather. We will definitely consider renting this property again.

Nice house with a dock!

It's a good house! The living room is good for hanging out, and the deck is great for spending evenings on. Having a dock is amazing--we rented a pontoon boat for the week and it was great to just walk down the stairs to get to it. There are a lot of stairs down to the dock, so if you're not in shape and stable on your feet it can be bit of a challenge--she mentions it in the description. Check-in was easy and the host was easy to get a hold. Recommend it!

Peaceful, beautiful getaway

The house is beautiful and so clean. It was great having a bedroom/bath on ground floor but all the bedrooms were spacious and beautiful. The deck was a perfect place for morning coffee and eating meals. The wooded lot was well maintained and hearing all the song birds in the morning was wonderful. We did use the public boat launch at the nearby state park because the steps to the dock were too steep to carry the kayaks down. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone.
