The Wagon Shed at Nittany Meadow Farm

Enjoy the beauty of Nittany Meadow Farm during your stay in Centre County. Located minutes from State College and Penn State, this three-bedroom cottage was the original wagon shed at historic Nittany Meadow Farm. The spacious cottage offers plenty of room for family and friends to enjoy time together in the shared living room and kitchen. There’s plenty of privacy too in three large bedrooms, with each having its own bathroom. Ask us about our goats during your stay — they’d love to meet you!

The Wagon Shed is one of three houses on the 26-acre property. We live in the farmhouse (so we’re available if you need us!) and we also rent the one-bedroom Milk House.

The cottage is located on a working farm. Don't enter the barn without owners or pasture at any time. The pasture electric fence is live. Don't touch!
For the safety of our livestock, no pets are permitted on the farm property or in the cottage at any time.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the farm. That includes outside areas in addition to inside the cottage and barn.

We have stayed at Nittany Meadow Farm a few times! This was our first time in the wagon shed. It was perfect for our family. It has everything you need, is clean and a bathroom in each bedroom is such a bonus! The property is beautiful! The owners are kind and welcoming! Tara is great with communication! Honestly our favorite place to stay in State College!

Comfortable, clean, and convenient

We travel with adult children to see our student at Penn State. The Wagon Shed is absolutely perfect for us. A plus is the wonderful golf course next door which on our second and third stay here we have enjoyed as a family. Convenient to all the college activities yet surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. Thank you for sharing your wonderful property!

A Great Weekend!

The Wagon Shed was perfect for my husband and I, and two other couples. We were in town to see a show at the Bryce Jordan Center; location was perfect- 10-15 minute drive there. Tara and her husband were great hosts and the tour of the goats was an added bonus!

The Wagon Shed is a wonderful place! Tara is very responsive and the goats are adorable. It was clean and had comfortable bedding/furniture. There are more provisions than usually found at a VRBO. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful property!

Our stay at the Wagon Shed for Penn State graduation weekend was exceptional. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was very convenient for our 2 families getting ready for an early morning graduation ceremony. The house was stocked with sufficient paper products, linens, dishes, utensils, and more. Tara was extremely kind and welcomed us to the barn to see the goats and learn more about them. The goats were so friendly! It was a special way to start a wonderful weekend! We look forward to staying at the Wagon Shed again!

Clean, adorable, and great communication!

The stay was great! We were in town for a concert at Beaver Stadium and the location was perfect. This was the cleanest VRBO I've ever stayed in and was super cute with plenty of room! Tara was so nice and we got to visit the goats, which was an added bonus. Definitely recommend staying here!

Weekend Visit to Happy Valley

My grandson's 5th grade basketball team qualified for the PA Middle School Basketball Championship March 22-24 in State College, PA. We were fortunate The Wagon Shed at Nittany Meadow Farm was available! The property was exactly as advertised and all the previous reviews were spot on! There were four adults and two children in our group. The three bedrooms and bathrooms were much appreciated. Check-in and check-out was almost effortless. Tara is an attentive host and we look forward to future visits to Happy Valley and The Wagon Shed!

Our Favorite Friendly Farm

Perfect location in Happy Valley

This is our second time staying at The Wagon Shed. The property is absolutely gorgeous and situated in the perfect spot to be close to Penn State campus yet out of all the traffic and mayhem. Owners are responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Great family reunion

Great spot for three sibling families to share on our return to State College. Super close to town, but secluded for our quiet gathering. We enjoyed seeing and listening to the birds. The bedrooms were large and the sitting space was great to relax and reminisce with all 6 of us. We spent one afternoon outside at the side of the house watching the golfers. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Weekend

We had a really wonderful weekend. The place was much larger then the pictures.. Each bedroom was spacious w it’s own full bathroom. You literally are on a farm w rolling green pastures… It is breathtaking and relaxing. My only complaint is that we were running all around State College that we really didn’t get to enjoy the place as much as I would have liked to. I would highly recommend staying here. It’s close and convenient to campus and it’s very clean.
