Sea Salt Cottage - 180-degree Views of the Olympic Mountain Range and Hood Canal

Sea Salt Cottage offers spectacular views of the beach and the Olympic National Park from this cozy cottage on the bluff above the waters of Hood Canal. The view is toward the mountains to the west, so the afternoon sun warms the yard and the sunsets are the show of the day. The beach is a short walk down the staircase / trail that ends at the beach on Hood Canal. Walk the beach, search for shells, fish, crab, dig for clams, or simply enjoy the views. Come have fun!

Sea Salt Cottage is a great starting point for day trips to Kingston, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island, and Port Gamble. If you want to head further out, Port Townsend and the Olympic National Park await.

Sea Salt Cottage was absolutely breathtaking and the perfect place to destress, reset, reconnect, and just be one with nature. Adrienne was truly the best and she provided a level of hospitality that far exceeded all expectations. Her attention to every detail at the cottage and a genuine care in making sure you have an incredible experience in the area, made this the best VRBO we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying!

Absolutely gorgeous and completely comfortable. 100plus steps to the beach but worth the climb. We only used it for nights while we were at the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival but we would love to come back sometime and really take advantage of the whole place and everything provided.

I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful this location is. This hidden gem gave my family a peaceful getaway where we watched the eagles soar, bunnies and squirrels frolic, otters and fish jumping plus so many more lively activities out on the water!The home itself has plenty of dish wear and kitchen appliances to cook with. They have a great set up for kids of all ages (even for the kids at heart). The host family graciously provides additional luxury amenities like outdoor games, sand toys, games/puzzles, monoculars, shampoo, spices, teas, coffee, chocolate mixes and a welcome gift for adults and kids. We were spoiled!If I need another getaway, I’ll be looking to see if Sea Salt Cottage is available!

This is, without question, the best place we’ve ever booked. The house is cozy and charming, with the most breathtaking views imaginable—180 panoramas of sparkling water and majestic mountains. Members of our family literally said, “This is the prettiest place I’ve ever been!”An inviting staircase winds down the cliff to a completely secluded beach, where we found more sand dollars than we’ve seen in our entire lives. The kitchen was the best we’ve ever had in a rental—well stocked, thoughtfully laid out, and with plenty of space for our own groceries (a detail many rentals overlook).Our host was incredibly friendly and responsive, making the whole experience seamless. One day, we even skipped our planned mountain adventure just to “stay put” at the cottage—grilling, reading, and watching the sunset from this little slice of paradise.We truly cannot give this place a high enough rating. It’s a rare gem that we’ll be talking about for years.

Absolutely stunning views of the Olympic Mountains! The home was perfect. We fell in love with the kitchen, I would volunteer to do dishes all the time so I could out at that view! Fully stocked with anything you can think of to make a meal and drinks. The beds were very comfortable. All the details throughout made you feel at home and the photos do not do it justice. Adrienne was very responsive and we would stay here again!

Our family of 7 had the best time at the Sea Salt Cottage this summer! The house was perfectly appointed for us and our 5 children - they loved the bunk room, the loft, and all the toys and games. The swing and hammock were a part of our daily routine and we could not believe how easy and convenient it was to prepare and enjoy all of our meals from the kitchen to the grill on the patio. We spent most mornings combing the beach for seashells and sand dollars - WOW we have never seen so many sand dollar! You cannot beat the view! We saw submarines, sea lions, eagles, gorgeous sunsets and so much more! We felt so blessed to have much needed privacy and still be close enough to town for groceries and excursions! Relaxing experience

The view was stunning. We sat at the table looking out and talked for hours. The house was immaculate, well designed and perfect for our needs. We were in and out visiting local attractions. If the buoys on the mailbox were a brighter color, would be easier to see from the road. We drove past the driveway every time.

Perfection!

You can feel the love and care that has been put into Sea Salt Cottage as soon as you step in the door. This was the perfect place for my sister and I while we were visiting family in the area. The cottage felt like home and had everything we needed, as well as being super clean. The kitchen was fully stocked, the rooms were very comfortable, and the little touches throughout made it so special! My nephew's girls stayed with us one night and loved the hammock and swing, the beach, and especially the badminton game outside. We spent much of our visit enjoying the yard and the absolute tranquility of the beautiful view. Adrienne was a wonderful hostess, great communicator, and was kind and helpful throughout. We can't wait to visit again!

Perfect stay!

This was our first big trip with our < 1 year old baby and we couldn't have better things to say about Sea Salt Cottage and everything Adrienne does to make your stay perfect. The house is outfitted with everything you need as a family - a clean, new pack n play, a nice high chair, kids toys, really nice kitchenware, dishes, mugs, and even nice knives for cooking. We've stayed in a lot of places and this is truly one of the nicest places we've ever stayed - it felt like home from the moment we arrived. The house overall is beautiful and the property is amazing. We couldn't get enough of the view, the fire pit, hammock, deck, grill, etc. And while not pictured, the beach is great too. Tons to do in the local area while also feeling peaceful and secluded. We're already talking about when we can go back.

James and I both grew up in Edmonds, WA and decided to move to Hansville in 1997 to live more closely tied to the land and the water. We raised our four children at this house, and have so many memories at the beach, cooking over the fire, watching the snow line in the mountains across Hood Canal for the perfect time to go sledding, growing our garden out back, raising chickens and all the pets.
We now live on Bainbridge Island but visit often. We want to share the property we love so much with our family and others, so they might enjoy the beauty of Hansville and all there is do here.

We chose this property because we knew we wanted the most beautiful view of the Olympic Mountain range and be next to the beach. We wanted to raise our kids in a setting where they were very tied to nature.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Once you see the view from the house, you will understand why we wanted to live here. Even on a cloudy day, the vista is magical. It is a 180-degree view from the bay of Port Gamble to the south, up the canal to Port Townsend to the north. The view of Olympic Mountains never gets old as you watch it go through the seasons from the first snowfall to when it mostly melts in August. The sea air calms me every time I visit.
