Again, I’m sorry that they did not enjoy their visit, but they they really didn’t give it a chance. They only spent 2 nights out of the total time they had reserved. The time spent does not really warrant 2 separate reviews saying pretty much the same thing.

I am distressed to receive my one and only poor review, and very sorry that Karen and her partner didn’t enjoy their stay. I think the problem was in part a result of their state of mind on arrival. They came tired of traveling and at the end of a 5 ½ hour bus ride, talking about how exhausted they were from their travels. The bar that is the subject of their complaint is El Profe (the professor). It is in the back yard of a neighbor selling wings, burgers, etc along with drinks. It is normally low key, but there can be a loud party from time to time. Loud parties can, and do occur in town in anyone’s back yard which can go on until 7 o’clock in the morning long after El Profe’s closing time. Mexican parties can be epic events. Periodic noise is the trade off that you get with being in the center of town and being able to walk everywhere. Notably, not one person in the past has felt that the bar was enough of a problem to even mention it in their reviews. Many of them enjoyed the proximity. Half of my guests in the last year were repeat visitors who clearly enjoyed their stays enough to return. Karen’s other comment was about the inconvenience of the bathroom being downstairs from the bedroom. The location of the bedroom and bathroom is clearly stated in the property description for the reason that it might be a problem for some.
