Enjoy the large porch and bird watching by day, star watching around the fire pit by night. Connect with nature again! This remodeled farm house has the ability to let you disconnect and reconnect with friends and family. But also has Starlink available if needed plus desk and chair for those looking for a comfortable remote work area. TV with lots of dvds for all ages. Only 20 minute to coolest town in America: Lewisburg WV, where you will find fun shops, great restaurants, antique malls, fine art galleries, live outdoor music and so much more. With the Greenbriar and Homestead Resorts 30 minutes away enjoy skiing in the winter. Lakes and streams nearby provide for endless fishing, tubing and kayaking. Whether it’s a trip to enjoy all the great mountain outdoor activities or to unwind with a good book, this property is remote yet close enough to be at a grocery store in 10 minutes in White Sulphur Springs, WV. Spend the day sightseeing the Humpback bridge and Falling Springs waterfall or stay right on the property and enjoy miles of trails (old logging trails) and spring feed creeks. Catch some crawdads, catch a mountain sunset, and enjoy the great outdoors under the stars. (Note: this property is in the remote Alleghany mountains and wild animals and insects are a part of life. In the fall we sometimes have an abundance of ladybug visitors.)

This beautifully fully remodeled 5 bedroom home served us very well. Our grown kids, their kids, us and Sally ( the dog) were very happy and comfortable. There were ample toys for the youngest, fort building materials for the middles and quiet space for the teen. The hikes ( 3 different trails) were lovely. We felt safe with the walkie talkies. The kitchen was terrific and well stocked. It was perfect.

After I small set back upon arrival our stay was wonderful. It's everything you want in an old farmhouse that has been very well updated from kitchen and bathroom supplies to linens and comforters everything is provided. Outdoor fireplaces and acres to explore. We were there for work but hoping to come back when we have more time to enjoy this beautiful home.

Loved staying at Disconnect and truly being able to rest and enjoy our loved ones. The home was beyond comfortable and clean. The updates and remodeling that has been done are wonderful while the feel of an older home with character rang true as well. The kitchen floors were really beautiful and we loved their creaks!

Truly Disconnected

We were here for my husband, cousin and his son to Marshal the LIV Golf Tournament at the Greenbrier. The location was perfect. You are truly disconnected which is refreshing.

Very comfortable house

We came to White Sulfur Springs for a celebration of life and music events at Big Draft Brewing. The house is definitely in a remote area but the drive to town was quick and easy. The house was very clean and well equipped. Watched some movies and played cornhole in our down time. The front porch was also great for the guys to sit and play guitar. Visited New Bridge Gorge which is less than 1.5 hours away. Was a nice drive. Would definitely return to explore more of the area.

Tech free getaway

I came here for a conference with my family for a week. As the description says, no cell service or Wi-Fi, but plenty of movies to choose from and books at the house. Communication with the owner was amazing, and she checked in on us and made herself available for any questions and any recommendations for things to do that in the area. Beautiful wooded area, and close the state and national parks. Highlight was campfire in the evening and enjoying mornings on the front porch with coffee and plenty of birds coming to the numerous bird feeders.

We came for the Jackson River Marathon. Great place to stay and enjoy nature! Fun to watch the birds coming for the bird feeders.

Cut the cord

The home, the location, and the comfort are top notch. We were at an event at the Greenbrier and it was a 10-minute drive. The home was lacking nothing and had much more than we expected. There was no cell or internet service so it was nice to disconnect.

This is a great place to stay to relax and unwind. Close to amenities and yet far enough away to "unplug." My family had an amazing time and the hosts are top shelf.

Fun to disconnect

The description is 100% accurate. You must be willing to disconnect while at the house. The drive into town (white sulfur springs) is about 10 minutes. Fun to explore Lewisburg a bit. We were not there too long so we spent most of our time at the house. The 150 acres are mountains, but there is a trail in the back. We walked until it came where it was impassable due to grass and the other direction was going down in the opposite direction. But it is peaceful on the trail. If you are not one to enjoy rural life, then pass. We enjoyed the morning coffee on the porch while the neighbor's rooster said hello . The house is so nice and the beds are comfortable. Instructions were easy, stocked well for your needs and just an overall comfortable home. Plenty of movies to watch , big yard for outdoor fun, plenty of room for the 5 of us to play games at night at the table. If you want to retreat where you truly can disconnect, then this place is perfect. Always great to recharge yourself and get in touch with the natural beauty in this world.

Great place for a get-together

Hadn’t seen my sisters in 3 years. Had a great time reconnecting in this nicely renovated farmhouse conveniently located near the Greenbrier and Lewisburg. The owners are very welcoming and helpful.

Labor Day Weekend Getaway

The property is very well furnished. Great outdoor porch with plenty of seating. Which is where we spent most of our time chatting and relaxing. The host was very accommodatng checking that we'd arrived safely and found everything we may need.

Nice Weekend with Friends

The property owners helped with all aspects and questions that we had. We specifically selected this property to disconnect from the outside world, and me and my friends had a great time doing so. The house has many rooms, many bathrooms, we comfortably slept six people in this house for the weekend. There is many things to do, in the area if you like outdoors, you wont have service at the house but a short drive to the gas station would allow you to do get connected. The house comes with a gas grill and a nice kitchen. It is really clean, and there are alot of movies to go through.

Great place to getaway from the hustle and bustle!

Cheryl’s place was just perfect, her communication was excellent and she gave us tons of advice for the local areas of interest. The home is large and beautifully remodeled while still keeping some of its original charms! The trails are awesome, but they are not for the feint of heart in some areas. The kids and pup loved exploring the mountain with us. Humpback Bridge on Dunlap Creek and Tubing on the Jackson River with Allegheny Outfitters is a must too! Thank you!
