The fishing is great! Trails are close by. Enjoy summer in the Northwoods!

Located in the heart of one of the largest trail systems in the US. Five miles from the town of Cable. Close to 3 Birkie trailheads: OO, Boedecker and Birkie Ridge. This cabin is located on a snowmobile/ATV route. Ski and bike tuning facilities provided in the sports room off the screened in porch. Enjoy the view of Pacwawong Springs (from the cabin or dock)- a waterfowl migration area with a pair of Trumpeter Swans here most of the year. The screened in porch is a great place to eat or read and not deal with bugs. There is a gas firepit and a large deck.

Cabin was perfect, Northwood's rustic! Useful notes throughout to navigate all lights and heat. Kitchen was well stocked and enjoyed cooking in it. Plenty of extra bedding, pillows and blankets. Host was gracious & accommodating. Will be back for sure!

This cabin was PERFECT! Super clean, quiet, really nice setup and relaxing- exactly what we needed. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the lake activity and night sky. Location was close to town, but far enough away to feel secluded. Kitchen had absolutely everything we were needing and nicely organized. If TV is what you need, plan on bringing a tablet or laptop, OR just enjoy the company and outdoors. :)

Very cozy cabin and a great location between Cable and Hayward. Love the access to the lake and the amenities. It had everything we needed for a weekend retreat.

This quiet cozy, cabin rustic in its woodsy setting with a view of and access to the small spring fed pond, was exactly what we hoped for! The log cabin has been expertly remodeled inside to provide all the necessary comforts without losing any of the historic charm. Comfortable bed for a good night's sleep, well stocked kitchen for easy cooking, and immaculate bathroom and plush towels to keep you clean! We loved it all! We used the grill to cook a couple of meals and visited the Sawmill Saloon for great pizza another night. When rain dampened our mornings we played games on the porch or kitchen table. And when the sun shined we headed to the dock and pond to explore by boat, or to Cable lake with our kayaks to fish!

Cozy rustic renewal of a 100+ year old cabin! It was a pleasure to spend relaxing time here!
Trumpeter Swans were an almost constant presence adding their wild haunting trumpets!

House was nice, clean, comfortable. Close to ATV trails and town. Wifi didn't work when we were there. Also there is another house *right there* which I didnt anticipate. Both issues not that big of a deal, but just something to be aware of. I am a super private person, so the house next door was a little disappointing, but it was rainy and we didnt spend much time outside. Overall we had a good experience.

Wonderful

The host were amazing… Kept in communication the entire time, anything I needed that was not already here was brought to us immediately. I cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond for our family! The cabin itself is wonderful, and stocked up pretty good with indoor/outdoor games, books, kitchen utensils, etc. The canoe was super fun, although we definitely did not swim in the lake here… There was a lake recommended to us about three minutes away with a park/beach and great swimming area! There is no TV, although there is Wi-Fi, and we found that to be a wonderful thing! I had 2 15-year-olds with me who only went on their phones at bedtime, there was so much to do here and in the area! 100% recommend! If we come back to the area, we will definitely be staying again!

Beautiful, restful get-away

This is a lovely, spacious, clean get-away. It's located in a nice area to enjoy the Northwoods in any direction. The cabin is well equipped with all the necessities of home, including a comfortable bed.We enjoyed traveling to see the elk at Clam Lake. We saw 3 bears and numerours other wildlife on our travels. The waterfalls are nice as are the communities around.Terry and Le are great hosts and communicators.Unfortunately, the fishing wasn't as good as we had hoped, but overall, we had a wonderful time!

Comfy and Charming

We loved this little cabin--it was one of the most comfortable places we've rented. The place was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The property is a very quiet area. It was raining like crazy when we were there so we didn't take a lot of deck time, but the lakeside was beautiful. I would rent here again.

Time to unwind

Cabin had everything we needed to compliment our stay. Owners were very quick to respond with answers to our questions. If you want to unwind and relax, this is for you. Cable is close by and well worth a visit.
There were 5 swans in the lake, beautiful to watch.

Short getaway

My partner and I stayed there for 3 nights in the middle of April. The cabin was very cozy, and the location was in the middle of a little bit of everything. Our favorite things were the screened in porch and the convince of the canoe.

Winter Biking Getaway

Getting Away

Phenomenal experience! The cabin far exceeded our expectations in condition, amenities, and location. We spent five nights and it was the perfect “base camp” for the gravel rides, hikes, and fishing that we did all around the Hayward/Seeley area. The live-in swans in the lake were great (get a bit loud at night sometimes) and the porch is a great place to sit with a cup of coffee in the morning or watch the stars at night. The hosts were so easy to work with and go above and beyond to provide a great guest experience. We will definitely be looking to book another trip soon. A+ all the way!

We retired from our respective careers: Le as a nurse practitioner in neurology and Terry from municipal park and grounds maintenance. We decided to move farther north in Wisconsin to start a vacation rental business. We both love hosting. The ample opportunity for multiple outdoor summer and winter sports keeps us loving the area.

The log cabin has served as the perfect area for respite from daily life or the place to have easy access to multiple trail heads. Our guests have loved the ability to disconnect.

Peaceful-no motor boats on the lake. Gigantic white and red pine trees. Town is just 5 miles away if you need groceries or other basics.
