Whether you're seeking a quiet respite where you can sip coffee, swing in the hammock, and bird watch or an exciting family adventure with beach fun, campfires, yard games, bike rides, and nearby kayaking, Skyleigh Cabin has what you're looking for. The front knotty pine room is perfect for relaxing with a good book but large enough for a family full of energy. New comfy beds, Spectrum Internet, Streaming TV, Private beach access is a 5 minute walk. Come create wonderful memories.
Please note that the private beach in our association does not allow pets. If you wish for your pet to enjoy the water, you will need to go to the public access 2 miles North, or the beach in Tawas - about 15 minutes away.

Beautiful cabin, lots to do at the house plus within walking distance of a private beach. Lots of wildlife to watch in the early morning or late night.

Clean, cute cabin near with access to Lake Huron. Beautiful setting with an abundance of wildlife. Lovely beaches with a marina in close proximity to fish the lake.

Great Stay

The sunroom was our favorite part of the property. Slept so good on the master bedroom bed. There were a lot of amenities that we wish we would have had time to enjoy.Lovely stay.

Beautiful cabin, in a quiet neighborhood but you still get that quiet woodsy country feeling. We went to the private beach and pretty much had it all to ourselves. Monique definitely thought of everything inside so don’t stress if you forgot to pack something, more than likely she has it stocked. Very helpful and fast communication as well. 10/10

AuGres Getaway

Awesome cottage, huge yard and great beach that we had access to. The cottage was stacked with everything you need!! No need to bring any toiletries or kitchen staples. We had a 2month old to 61years and there was something for everyone!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Nice owner

We had a nice stay at this cabin. The town of au Gres is cute and close to tawas, we spent a day in tawas national park which is a nice beach and the next day we went to mackinaw which was a slight distance but that’s ok. We did check out the Beach near the house it was smaller and we didn’t spent much time here. The anchor pub near the house was good! The owner was very kind and I appreciated her quick responses to issues and questions. The check in and out was Simple. We used their bikes once and their kitchen cooking supplies. For a quick trip this cabin was nice.

Charming, quiet, little lake town!

We loved our stay!! This quiet lake community nestled on Lake Huron was idealistic for a relaxing, low key vacation! We didn’t want the hustle and bustle of a big city or touristy place. This was EXACTLY what we were looking for! The house is a couple streets back from the lake, just a very short drive! The beach we had access to was not busy at all. Most days we were the only ones there. The lake itself was gorgeous! Beautiful, blue, clean, clear and cool… but not too cold to swim in. You could walk out forever and it was still knee deep! Very kid friendly. The house itself was clean, cozy, and quaint. The hostess had so many fun things there to use! We had bonfires, played cornhole, volleyball, football, rode bikes, relaxed in a hammock, and of course relaxed on the beach! The hostess really did supply everything we needed and wanted! She also included suet cakes for the birds and it was very fun watching all the wild life! I would recommend this house and hostess to anyone!

The Jewel of Au Gres

Wonderful times ten! This place is spectacular. I had a blast and was so comfortable; it felt like home. There isn't enough space here to list everything i loved! I will say prior to my visit...the communication was absolutely the best. ThNk you for z memorable vacation stay

Cozy home in the woods

Cute and cozy home in the forest. Well stocked and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed walking to the beach and swimming everyday. We also savored the peace of sitting around a fire outside. Would definitely go back!

Weekend getaway to spend time with my family. This place was perfect; very inviting and clean. The neighborhood was perfect and close to the beach, but far enough away to provide us peace and quiet.

Relaxing Getaway

This cabin was very cute and cozy. Had everything we needed and we really enjoyed it. Our weather wasn't the greatest but it's a wonderful location to spend time on the beach on Lake Huron. Close to shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful time.

Cabin in the woods

Such a great property to stay. The cabin was clean, and the owner made the stay personable with children books, a wagon full of beach stuff, and cozy blankets. The beds are extremely comfortable. There is a nice enclosed sitting area with lots of seating. The cabin had air conditioning if you wanted it. Overall, we would definitely stay again!

Adorable and cozy home away from home!

Monique’s cozy cabin was the perfect getaway! She was very attentive to any and all possible questions we had, but also provided a wealth of I do for us so we knew what to pack! Additionally, there were so many games and activities to unwind with after a day of exploring the beach and local area. If you’re considering staying here, book it now!

Nice Area

My grand daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. There were nice extras like fresh coffee and chocolates. The beds were super comfy. It was nice having extra apps on the TV to watch. The only downside was a mouse was running around. I know it's a wooded area and these things happen.

Amazing Stay Near the Lake

This property is incredible! We were the first renters that Monique has ever had in the house, and we were incredibly impressed. As a group that stays in a lot of different instant hotel type places, and we were incredibly impressed by all of the small touches in the home, as well as all of the amenities Monique provided. Even our dog had an amazing time! I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone.

4th of July Up North

Comfortable, clean stay in Au Gres, close to beach and outdoor activities. Cabin is on a large, quiet lot, and walking distance to the beach. Host provided everything needed to enjoy the property (beach wagon, beach toys, rafts, air pumps, beach towels, cooler, yard games, hammocks, firewood). Family enjoyed relaxing in woods, taking bike rides down Michigan Ave in the morning, and visiting the beach in the afternoon. Au Gres is 5 minutes down the road with multiple restaurants, grocery store and a splash pad.

Wife and I needed to escape and this was the place!! House had everything advertised and what we needed. Au Gres is a very nice little town. House is super cozy and that front room is awesome!! Beds and couches are comfy and sleeo inducing!! We will be back and or staying with another Monique listing!

Perfect Family Getaway

The cabin was the cleanest rental we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at! I loved that we didn’t have to bring paper products, kitchenware and utensils, towels, and bedding! Not sure where I would have fit all that stuff in my vehicle which our toddler and dog in the back. We had a great time in the area and saw a ton of wild birds and deer! We went to the beach a few times, drove up to the state park for the dog beach, and even visited the local splash pad multiple times. It was just the long weekend away we needed!

Amazing (again)!

We had a fabulous time on our vacation! Monique has so much to offer at the cottage! Lots of fun within a short driving distance: beaches, ice cream, shopping, trails, etc. The association beach has 2 great options as well! You can for sure walk to the “small beach” with kids, ours rode their scooters (from home) and we pulled the provided wagon. Since we have kids and (ALL the) beach stuff we ended up driving to the “big beach” when we went. Beaches were private and AMAZING! We were able to have a picnic table to ourselves every time we went to the association beach. The beds were great for us and we enjoyed the different living spaces while we were “home” at the cottage. Kitchen items were sufficient for our “keep it simple” vacation dinner motto. We hope to return! Thanks Monique!

Camping feels near Lake Huron - just show up!

The property is as described! Our family of 4 appreciated the clean and bright house, comfy beds & couches, and thoughtful amenities. Inside we found good books and games, space to hang/store clothes in both bedrooms, 2 box fans, and 2 a/c units. For the outside we found 3 hammocks, 4 camp chairs, an outdoor patio set, 2 rocking chairs, a large table to set up outside, an outdoor propane grill and a charcoal grill with accessories, a fire pit with wood and 3 marshmallow sticks. The house is a short walk/bike ride to the beach. They have 3 bikes and a wagon to borrow as well as floaties, towels, an air pump, a small backpack cooler, and sunscreen. There are plenty of towels and blankets and pillows - save space, leave yours at home. There are also plenty of condiments, spices, silverware, cooking utensils, and dishes... even baggies, tin foil, plastic wrap. Also a microwave, hot water heater for tea-drinkers and a coffee pot, of course, with Caribou coffee and plenty of tea to choose from. The TV is 'smart' so bring your log-ins. Au Gres has an IGA for any food you need and Tawas has a Walmart. Honestly, you could show up with clothes, a little food, and a toothbrush and you'd be all set for some fun at the beach and relaxation at the house.
