Nightmare property! Avoid! Avoid! Part 1
I really don’t take the time to speak bad on rentals I use because there are always good even if they are not perfect. This is place took the cake in a very negative manner.
Let me begin by saying I was super excited to come to the Dominican Republic since I have not been for a whole year or more. I’m visiting to run a few errands, but also to relax in an actual vacation, instead I found the nightmare rental.
Although the place is beautiful on the surface, it’s not worth the troubles you encounter when you get in.
To say the least, let’s begin!
The place claims to look and be modern with a very emphasized industrial feel, but of the automatic blinds don’t work so I can’t look outside in places if like you have the windows open. In my last two days I find out there is a separate remote for the specific window that I was not able to use the entire stay.
My very first issue was getting in a very hot apartment, which is fine as im in the Caribbean. The AC in the bedroom gave me the hardest time getting it to work and I’m the DR is here! Over 2 hours to cool off. They finally got a technician AT NIGHT who just came to verify it was working because by the time they sent him, it was cool. I entered the apartment early afternoon. The technician sent could not fix the tv in the bedroom.
I called Vrbo regarding the AC only and I was told to give the host a chance to fix the issue.
