5 bedroom, 2 bath Victorian home that is fully updated. Recently remodeled to include queen bedroom on main floor! Inviting living room with fireplace, small game room with chess table, full dining area, kitchen with dishwasher. Porch that wraps around the front of the home with a front porch swing. Flat screen smart tvs mounted in every bedroom, also living room and game room. Fully updated kitchen with dishwasher and espresso maker included. Patio and small back yard area that includes smokeless fire pit and Adirondack chairs, corn hole set, and bikes. Carport allows 2 cars in driveway. Home protected by Simply Safe alarm.

2 block walk from a beautiful Riverwalk Park, and 3 block walk from downtown Niles, which has charming restaurants, tea and coffee shops, and antique stores.

15 min drive from Notre Dame and South Bend area.

30 min drive from New Buffalo and St. Joseph, two popular beach towns located on Lake Michigan.

High School Graduation & Family

We stayed at this lovely property for a week. It was conveniently located to the South Bend airport, family, the high school graduation we attended, and many parks with hiking and birding.The house was well appointed and comfortable and we really appreciated all the cooking utensils that were provided as the majority of our meals we ate at the house.

Wonderful family reunion

Comfortable bedrooms, well supplied, if slightly tight kitchen. Pleasant backyard, good for sitting around the firepit by night and toddler play by day. Great location for walking into town and along the River Trail.

Great house and location

House is as advertised and nice amenities. The location is amazing being a 5 minute walk from downtown. I was a little concerned about how loud it would be on the road it was on but the sound machines in the rooms made it a non-issue. Would for sure stay again if in the area

Riverview Retreat

The house was very clean, had everything we needed, and is right across the river from downtown. We enjoyed being close enough to walk to the riverside park and had a great evening sitting around the fire in the backyard.

Lake Barron Family Reunion

CLEAN, CONVENIENT, CHARMING! Our crew of 10, (to include 2 couples in our 60's, 2 couples in their 30's and our 2 young grandchildren), found Jane's home all of the above, . . . and then some! Spacious enough for everyone to have their own space. Enjoyed coffee in the morning on the front porch and cocktails on the back patio in the evening. Wish we had another 1/2 bath, but the home certainly accommodated our needs. Very receptive and friendly host. Thanks so much and all the best!

We really enjoyed our stay at River Walk Retreat. Nice big house with a ton of room. Very well equipped and great beds. Owners are very responsive and accommodating. We had a big group and there was plenty of space for everyone. Nice back patio where awe enjoyed the fire pit. Would stay here again.

Expected it to be nicer based on pictures. Beds are very comfortable. But terrible terrible showers and poor lighting in bathrooms.

Between VRBO and Airbnb, we have had 125 positive reviews. This is the first truly poor one. The guest had a complaint about the showers. And while I wanted to respond to her concern, she did not mention it until a day after she checked out. I want all of our guests to be happy, so as soon as I heard this complaint, scheduled to have a professional plumber go look at the shower. However, the next guests that arrived said the showers were fine. We will continue to try to address these concerns and make the showers as nice as possible for guests. We truly appreciate feedback from guests, and want to make our house a great place to stay. But it felt a bit like this guest was trying to squeeze a refund out of us in an inappropriate and rude way. We also accommodated a request to have the house ready for an early check-in for her, despite guests staying the night before. This guest did not say anything, or seem appreciative at all. Overall I think this is an unfair review.

Great house and super responsive hosts

Just can’t say enough good things about our stay. There were 3 adults and 2 children and so much room to spare. We used the kitchen and laundry facilities and everything was perfect. Beds were comfortable and even though the bathrooms are small, strong water pressure and bathroom amenities more than make up for it. Overall I would highly recommend this house and am thrilled to be coming back in October with another group of friends to stay at this great place! Hosts answered all my question super fast - which we really appreciated.

ND weekend

The place was perfect! Clean and a great kitchen area…kureg with cups waiting. Very nice area to watch TV. Really clean and the host/owner was great with information prior to our arrival. Very close to downtown which has a brewery and distillery. Grocery store a few minutes away. Easy 20 minute drive to ND campus. Highly recommend! Scott

Relaxing and Inviting

My family and I needed a place to stay overnight after attending a wedding at Notre Dame. We were able to check in after the ceremony and relax, take our shoes off, and have some snacks before returning for the reception. This property is in a quiet neighborhood and was the perfect place for us. It was a short 25 minutes drive to the Palais Royal in South Bend. After the reception we came back and stayed over until checkout in the next morning. The house is fully stocked with all the comforts of home. We wish we had more time to spend. We would have enjoyed the patio, fire pit and wrap around porch. We definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.
