En Buladean, Carolina del Norte, y situado en la majestuosa cordillera de Unake, esta nostálgica granja ofrece la escapada perfecta a la montaña con 2200 pies cuadrados de espacio habitable totalmente remodelado, calefacción / aire central, sala de estar (con TV HD montada en la pared), dormitorio principal # 1 - Cama King - vestidor grande y sala de lavandería, dormitorio principal # 2 - Cama King, TV - Walk in Closet grande, dormitorio # 3 - dos camas individuales con vestidor, comedor, sala de sol grande - impresionante vistas a la montaña, gran porche con 5 grandes rojos

Family and I came to celebrate a special time in our family timeline. The healing of my wife! Roger is an amazing host. We got to spend our family time with one another in a very beautiful area. The property is a very quaint and secluded old farm house. Perfect for what we were looking for. A home away from home that is conveniently located near many of the natural beautiful spots to explore and hike. We will be visiting again one day in the near furture. When we do. We intend to try and book this farmhouse again.

It was in a nice location. Sone of the online pictures were a bit deceiving. Cobwebs in main room. Very well stocked and comfy beds. Overall a good experience.

Lovely Home

The property was well maintained, comfortable and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of towels and very nice beddings. The owner is very responsive. Three friends had a relaxing and fun time taking a class at Penland. This house is highly recommended for a stay in the mountains.

The perfect vacation!

The Red Roof cabin was perfect for our group. It is relatively close to Roan mountain (a beautiful hike), and close to Burnsville where we spent an afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front porch taking in the beautiful view of the mountains. The cabin is well stocked (kitchen, bathrooms and living areas easily accommodated the five of us. Note for those who like a cold beer after a hike, the cabin is in a dry county!

Loved the location of the property. The view from the rocking chairs on the front porch of Roan Mountain was spectacular. The home is very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with everything one needs to prepare meals and storage. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. We will plan to visit the Red Roof Farmhouse again.

Fall vacation

We enjoyed our stay at the Red Roof Farmhouse. Loved the house, the porch, the creek, the views, all of it. Dr. Jenkins was a wonderful host and even brought us fresh blueberry muffins one morning. We highly recommend this rental, and look forward to returning in the future.

Great long weekend at the Red Roof country house

Excellent getaway property. Plenty of outdoors to enjoy in surrounding mountains and rivers. House is well appointed and kitchen has all appliances (including small appliances), utensils and tableware a family needs. Excellent host provided ample information in advance about the property and area attractions. Host was very welcoming and available if any need was to arise.

Just Relax

This was the just what we wanted. Had the opportunity to hike in the mountains and enjoy the property when we were at the house. It was very cold and it even snowed. A much different environment than Florida. Roger took great care of us and offered assistance in any way we needed. Thankfully the house and property was in tip top shape and we didn’t neeed assistance much. Thank you Roger!

This property is more than we could have hoped for!!

We will definitely go back!! We stayed at The Red Roof Farmhouse for a quick family getaway and it was amazing. We were only there for two nights and that wasn't nearly enough time to enjoy everything that this property has to offer. Thank you Mr. Jenkins for providing such an amazing place and hopefully we will get to met you next time we are there.

Amazing 4th of July Weekend Getaway

We had such a restful, tranquil, fun 4th of July weekend getaway as a family. The place was exactly as perfect as in the pictures. Our son ended up catching a huge brown trout in the creek based on on our hosts' kind guidance while the rest of us relaxed on the porch. Speaking of the Jenkins family, they were all incredibly welcoming and hospitable -- we look forward to a return visit in the future!

Amazing Farm House

We wanted to take a break for a few days with the hope to relax and see snow. We were not disappointed. The farm house was amazing and the owners were just as amazing. I would gladly come back and recommend anyone who is looking to book it.

Beautiful Property

Extremely accurate to the beautiful pictures! Dr. Jenkins stops by and makes you feel extremely welcome. He is amazingly hospitable and his home is gorgeous! Would definitely recommend and book again! Definitely a setting for any new traditions!

NW Carolina getaway

Wonderful home with plenty of space inside. Brothers and I rented the place as it was an hour away from Bristol and really enjoyed the scenery and peacefullness of the quiet town. Dollar general across the street had all the basic essentials for breakfast. Highly recommend staying if you're looking to get away from the hustle of a city.

Wonderful place to stay!

What a great few days we spent at the Red Roof Farmhouse! From picking fresh blueberries and red raspberries and walking by the beautiful trout stream, to enjoying the flowers and breathtaking views from the red rockers on the front porch, our time spent there was incredible. The house could not have been more well-stocked for us. Our hosts even provided us with a bottle of wine, fresh baked cookies and local strawberries. He also told us colorful stories and history of the area. Fascinating and gracious hosts! We're already excited about our next visit!

I was born in this small rural community and have been privileged to travel around the world with my work. I have found no place in the world I think is overall more enjoyable and impressive than the mountains, streams, and quiet natural beauty of this community.
Because Penland School has, over the years, spawned so many artists who have relocated to this area, there are literally hundreds of artists located within an hour of the property.

With the most impressive mountain views from the front porch while sitting in a red rocking chair, you find yourself wrapped in natural beauty on this private, gated, 27 acre farm. Not many places provide the unique opportunity to walk from your bed to a beautiful trout stream on property and land a 18 inch brown trout within minutes, then, In season, you walk a few hundred hards and enjoy blueberries, rasberries, and blackberries. Just installed large fire pit picnic area.
