Our experience started off poorly due to almost no communication from the host. We received the entry code only five minutes before check-in, which was very stressful. When we arrived, the house had a moth infestation and was listed as five bedrooms but had only four, with no gym, no theater, and the “indoor” hot tub dirty actually outside in garage. It also claimed to sleep 12, which was impossible.Cleanliness was unacceptable. The stove and oven were dirty, the refrigerator had mold and missing shelves, the dishwasher was filthy, full of mold, and didn’t work, and the couch was so dirty we cleaned it twice. There were bug nests in the living room and near the fridge, and ladybugs all over the bathroom sink. The sliding door barely opened and the shade was broken, giving us no privacy.Worst of all, the water heater didn’t work. A master plumber in our group confirmed the elements and a shower cartridge were bad. The owner repeatedly told us to “let it warm up,” and we only got one or two showers all weekend, even with a six-month-old baby. We contacted the owner and VRBO, but nothing was resolved. We left Saturday instead of Sunday because we had cleaned everything ourselves and had no reason to stay. The owner offered just 50 back.This is our sixth year doing this Thanksgiving trip, and this was by far the worst house. I would rate it below zero if possible.

Great stay and value

Property is ideally located for the casinos. A little bit further then advertised but still an easy drive to both. Communication with Joe was easy and the house was exactly what we expected. There was 8 of us and it catered to all of our needs. 3 bathrooms was a huge plus with that many people. Overall quite happy with our stay

Great spot tucked away in Norwich

Kitchen island is great for meals/games, pool table and sound system are added bonuses that make you feel at home if you’re staying in for the night. If you’re going out, the Mohegan Sun and other attractions are only a few minutes drive, but just far enough that you’re away from the action when coming home at the end of the night.

What a hidden gem tucked only a couple minutes from casinos and food/drinks. Stayed here with some friends, house was super spacious with many places for people to crash. Rooms are good sizes and all the amenities matched up perfect with what was listed and in the pictures!!

Great Location!!

If you are looking for a place to stay right near the casinos, this is the place. Great layout, clean, and a 2 min ride to Mohegan. Joe was easy to get a hold of and would answer any questions we had. Over all a great experience.

40th birthday trip

The house was great to stay in and it was conveniently located. We didn’t want to leave the house once we checked in the theater and the pool table was all we needed. The host was quick to respond to our questions. I would definitely stay with him again.

Nice, clean space for a large group of people to enjoy.

I booked this Vrbo for my boyfriend's 21st birthday because of its proximity to the casinos. There were 10 of us and there was we comfortable fit in the space with each bedroom having 2 people and a few people choosing the couch. I had never rented a house before this and it was a great first experience. I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised when there were plates, pots and pans, cups, and assorted kitchen utensils in the house. There was also a washer and dryer which came in handy. It was only about 15 to 20 minutes away from Foxwoods and surrounded by a variety of places to get food and stores like CVS. Overall it was a very nice home and a good fit for our group!

Good place for the price for a weekend get away with family

The house and the property were as expected. We were away to visit Mystic Seaport and Essex Train so it was a central point for us to both. We had kids so did not go to the casino, but it was very close. The rooms were a decent size and we also utilized the firepit in the back yard. Took a bit to get used to how to work the entertainment system, but the young kids figured it out. Only improvement would be some additional silverward. We like to make breakfast when we stay at these homes and could only find one butterknife and maybe 1 or 2 small spoons. Otherwise it was a good time and would recommend.

Comfortable, good location

We had a very nice time staying at this house. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and living area was great for a large group of people. The projector was very cool for having a movie night and speakers sounded good! Having a deck was nice too. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Plenty of parking in the driveway available. It was a good location, very close to casinos and about 40 min drive to RI beaches. Also there was plenty around us (cvs, Dunkin, Starbucks, gas stations etc) in case we needed anything. Also the showers had good water pressure! The only criticism I have is that the floors were dirty. All of our feet were dirty on the bottoms when walking around barefoot. Otherwise the place was clean and host was easy to communicate with.

Uninhabitable Conditions, Host Refused to ResolveWe booked this home for a bachelor weekend with a group of 8. Unfortunately, the property was completely uninhabitable and the host made no meaningful effort to resolve the issues despite being contacted immediately.The problems were serious:•Multiple bugs in the bedrooms (I even pulled one off myself in bed at 2:30am).•AC units poorly sealed, allowing pests inside.•Mold on the shower curtains.•Strong musty odor throughout the basement.Because of these conditions, I personally could not stay overnight in the house. I booked a hotel down the street for the entire weekend at my own expense (receipts available). I only came back to the property during the day to spend time with my group. I made all of this clear to the host right away, yet my concerns were brushed aside and no remedies were offered.When I requested a refund, the host not only refused but falsely claimed we had a dog (it was a neighbor’s, not ours). This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Communication was slow, dismissive, and often off-point, which I suspect may be a language barrier—but regardless, there was zero accountability or care shown to a paying guest.In the end, I had to take this to Vrbo and my credit card company. This is exactly the type of situation travelers hope to avoid when booking through a trusted platform.Bottom line: this home is not worth the cost—or any cost. Between the bugs, mold, odor, and host’s refus
