Moldy, musty and unhealthy air. Unbearable smell
Our stay May 23-25th 2025, Unfortunately we arrive at this rental and had to leave after 2 1/2 hours of being in the house due to the horrible smell and the unhealthy air quality conditions of the property. The mold smell, musty air and cat smell was so bad you could taste it. All the linens, towels, pillows all smelled just as bad. It was hard to breathe and started to irritate our eyes and throats. We thought that it needed to be aired out so I tried to turn the AC units on, I contacted to host about the AC remotes which they did respond once. I proceeded to tune the AC units on and I checked the filters, which were EXTREMELY FILTHY and GROSS. I could tell they’ve never been cleaned (Pics Attached) . I believe that cats had been in the house, my friend who is highly allergic could tell right away and which made it unsafe for us to stay. We tried to contact the host to let them know about the issues and that We had to leave the property, the was 1230pm on the 23rd, we’ve yet heard back from them, it’s the 27th. . We have filed a complaint with VRBO who responded told us that the host needed to respond and approve refund nothing has happened yet, I’ll contact VRBO and next will be the health department. This house needs to be inspected for mold. I’ll continue to leave reviews until I get a response. The previous reviews seem false and to be left by the property host. Because no one would stand the smell willingly. Definitely not a 9.5, Never had an experience like it! -0
