Cozy cabin nestled on the shores of Lake Champlain

Welcome to the Champlain Chalet! Take advantage of all the lake and surrounding area has to offer from this cozy waterfront cabin with a private dock. As soon as you enter, you'll be greeted by unparalleled views from our 275' of direct lake frontage.

In addition to the usual rental season of May-October, we are now open to bookings for the winter season. Enjoy the off-season with ice fishing on the lake, snowshoeing on local trails and skiing at nearby peaks. Montreal is also a great winter day trip!

The Chalet’s ample living room features high ceilings, a charming wheel spoke chandelier and gorgeous stone fireplace. The open concept kitchen boasts brand new appliances and all the cookware needed to prepare great meals with local ingredients. There is a gas grill as well.

The master suite has a wing all its own with stone flooring and bathroom, all on the wrap around back deck that leads down to the lakeshore. Under the deck are two kayaks and a paddle board.

There is a guest room with full bed, as well as an additional full bathroom. There are two comfy couches in the living room, one of which is a queen pull-out, for additional sleep space if needed.

There are two desks, one in the living room and one in the master suite, for those who need to work while away. There's also a den featuring a large flat-screen tv and cushy seating.

Installed in 2022, there are two AC/heat pump mini split units to keep you comfortable no matter the season.

Installed in 2023, a new wood burning fireplace insert provides both warmth and ambience as we open the Chalet for winter bookings!

Dogs are welcome at the Champlain Chalet, and there are food/water bowls and pet beds for use. If bringing more than two dogs, please contact for approval.

Beautiful lakefront cottage!

We had a wonderfully relaxing time. The cottage is well-stocked and a short drive to the nearest convenience store. The view from the master bedroom was very difficult to leave!!!

Another awesome family vacation

Lakeside Dream!

Our stay was everything we hoped for. This lakeside experience was made memorable by a clean, spacious and well stocked chalet. The property was well maintained and the deck invited you to relax and enjoy Lake Champlain. The fruit tree grove hosted birds and small woodland creatures. We thank the host for sharing this lovely space with us.

We recently stayed at this beautiful chalet, perfectly situated on Lake Champlain. It was well stocked with all the basic essentials and then some. It's literally steps away from a pebble beach with the most stunning sunrises each morning. You don't even need to get out of bed to catch the view of the sun peeking over the lake. What a wonderful stay we had. The beds were very comfortable and Anna's welcome book provided plenty of places to visit (farmer's markets, state parks, breweries, restaurants etc) The kids had so much fun exploring the beach and looking for little treasures. The only thing to improve could be some attention to landscaping and overgrowth around the yard and steps leading to the water. This was by no means a deal breaker for us and in some ways added to the rustic feel. We were very comfortable there and hope to visit again and would certainly recommend this lovely stay to others. Thank you Anna for a great family getaway!

Wonderful vacation spot!

The location and home were wonderful. The beds and furniture were comfortable, and all of the appliances were new and worked very well. It was quiet, peaceful yet still easy access to the freeway to visit Burlington. I recommend bringing some bottled water to drink (there is a slight sulfur smell in the pipes) and some birdseed to attract the birds outside!

Best family vacation yet!

This house was more than we were expecting. The water was great. Kids had a blast kayaking and fishing. Very nice yard d on the side of the house. Inside was very cozy. The air conditioning kept the climate very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had every we needed. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your house. We hope to book again next year.

We loved our stay last year so much we came back this year. Loved the upgrades- fire pit and fire place insert. Property was clean and well kept. The views were beyond beautiful. We tried the recommended Kraemer and Kin pub- delightful. Definitely a 5 star place. Love that it’s pet friendly. We will be back!

Break at the Lake

Fully enjoyed my “break at the lake”! Very nice venue. What a night sky, an amateur astronomer’s dream. April 8 2024 there will be a total eclipse occurring. And Alburg is in the zone of totality.

We had the most incredible stay at this charming cabin on the shores of Lake Champlain! From the moment we booked, the owner’s communication was outstanding—clear, prompt, and thoughtful, making the entire experience seamless. The cabin itself was cozy and beautifully appointed, with stunning views of the lake that made every morning feel like a dream. We spent hours enjoying the excellent ice fishing right outside the cabin—it's truly a haven for anglers!The town of Alburgh is absolutely delightful, with a welcoming, small-town atmosphere and plenty of local charm. Whether we were exploring the town or simply relaxing by the lake, everything exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with great fishing and a wonderful local community, this is the place to be! Highly recommend

Beautiful cabin getaway

I’ve never wrote a review.. my family and I stayed in this wonderful cabin from June 1st to the 5th. As soon as we showed up we knew it was going to be a wonderful experience! The setting is just perfect, house is very very beautiful and quaint, area is quiet and calm. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for a quiet fun lake experience. Lots of cool farm stands to get good quality food just about 15 minutes away. *****

Location, location, location! Anna’s place is on a beautiful spot on one of our favorite areas of Lake Champlain. We loved that nearly any time of day we could find a sunny spot or a shady spot to enjoy the deck and the waterfront. The neighboring places on either side didn’t have that much choice for their outdoor spaces. We appreciated the brand new grill and that the kitchen had some good essentials. As an avid home chef, I was glad that I always travel with my knives. The beds & indoor furniture were very comfortable. The outside furniture was fine after we cleaned off large amounts of cobwebs, but that and a few other elements of the outdoor space seem to be slightly lacking in regular upkeep. We never ended up using the firepit & its Adirondack chairs or the dining table on the deck, but they looked like they would have been fine if we cleaned them off. My husband and the kids fished their hearts out every day from our canoe and Anna’s kayaks. Important to note if you plan to use it, the paddleboard is for a smaller person/kid. We also loved that our dogs could be with us! They enjoyed the lake as much as we did. Anna was perfectly communicative and responsive and we would return again next time we want to stay on this part of the lake.

Settled right in to a spacious and special home on Lake Champlain!

The property proved to be both private and in a friendly neighborhood. Lovely landscaping, rustic and plenty of space both inside and outside, complete with apple trees, usable deck and views of the morning sunrise and reflections of sunsets on the the water, as advertised, melted our hearts. The host gave accurate info about the lake. We found our way to Alburg Dunes State Park with the best swimming and sandy beach ever. We ended up doing more biking than kayaking and enjoyed it all. Kitchen came well-equipped and very clean! Comfortable and spacious entertaining everyone came easily. We were thrilled with the space and the area and will consider returning next season

Heaven On Earth In The Vermont Islands

Beautiful views of the water from the living, dining room, kitchen, and master bedroom. Nice deck and easy access to the water. We swam every morning. The home is private and quiet and has easy access to Isle Lommotte, Grand Isle, and North & South Hero. About 45-1 hour to Burlington. We did lots of wonderful bike rides, touring, swimming, and kayaking (the house has Kayaks and paddle board). Bring drinking water the house water has sulfer smell. But remember sulfur water is suppose to have medicinal powers. Nice big kitchen well stoced with tea, coffee, spices. Comfortable master bed. Very nice stay in this lovely home.

Family vaca

Location is amazing, house is rustic and we just loved that about it. It rained pretty hard when we were there and one thing that was hard not to notice is the gutters has little trees growing out of them. So the water couldn’t properly drain I hope that doesn’t cause issues for them in the future. I overpacked a lot of things they already had so it was a nice surprise to see things I didn’t expect to be there. Having kayaks and paddle boards there for us to try was a lot of fun and a lot of laughs. The views were amazing! I was up each morning but 1 to a beautiful sunrise and we loved watching the boats go by. We didn’t want to leave! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

After visiting Northwestern Vermont regularly for over five years, we realized we had a special connection to this area and finally decided to take the plunge and invest in a house there to call our own.

Lake Champlain is truly magical, and when we saw the Chalet, we knew it was "THE" house. The views of the lake are amazing, and its calming energy washes over you. After a year of having the house to ourselves, we've decided to open it to visitors so we can share this special place with others.

Vermont is an amazing place; and the northwest corner is no exception. It may seem remote, but that's part of its charm. Life seems to slow down around here, but you still aren't too far from civilization. It's a fantastic place to unwind and recharge!
