Our home is located right on the Straits of Mackinac. With scenic views of Mackinac Island, the Mackinac Bridge and the freighters passing, it is the most relaxing getaway. We are located just over a mile away from one of the ferry lines that take you to Mackinac Island and walking distance from the Lumber Jack show. We are right on the water so you have your own beach. The house also come with free access to a local waterpark and discounts to local restaurants.

This was a great location right on the lake. Perfect view of the bridge especially at night.

The house was great and perfect location and beautiful views. The only thing there was no air conditioning and we stayed in August so it was a bit warm (hot). Over all great experience and a wonderful neighbor.

This location was perfect for us and our 7 year old rescue Aussie Shepherd... Our goal was to "escape the normal" for 3 days.. enjoy time with a dog who needed a home after being "tossed out" and let him learn that he would go back to his new home... Off Season, the neighborhood was quiet and that was what we sought... it fit our needs.. and his quite well... Smoked fish at Big Bay Fishery was AWESOME as was Whitefish dinner at Audies..

Great view but did not comfortably sleep 6. The sleeper sofa was so uncomfortable a group slept on the floor instead. If you have a group of six be prepared for only 2 queen beds. The proximity to town and view of the water were beautiful!

Birthday weekend trip

After reading the reviews I was a little worried on booking, but I was like hey everyone has a different experience. The house was very clean! Our favorite view was from the backyard/sunroom. Nothing beats that beautiful view! The only thing bad that I have to say is if you like a little night pizza to snack on bring your own pizza cutter! But otherwise our stay was wonderful. The host communicated back with us in a timely manner. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Great location; worked well for our family

We loved the location; easy 15-min bike ride on a lovely packed gravel trail to the ferry! The beach behind the house is rocky, but my kids really enjoyed collecting rocks and feathers on it. Great view of the bridge! The house itself was fine; it worked well for our family. We enjoyed meals on the screen porch right on the water! There were a few things that could use attention: one burner on the stove didn't work, many of the doors & windows were hard to open, the bathroom mirror was missing the middle part...etc. The kitchen was small but functional, though there isn't much in the way of cooking implements; plan simple meals or bring your own cooking stuff. The house was pretty clean, though some of the dishes had food residue. Overall, the house worked well for my family of 5, though it could benefit from some simple updates.

We got there to no heat and a garage smelling like gas. The house was very cold we left and got a hotel. Very disappointed will never go back.

The location of this property was very nice – quiet neighborhood with a great view. It was also convenient to have laundry available during our stay.Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The house was not clean when we arrived (dust on lamps, dirty radiant heat units, and the oven/stovetop not cleaned). The heating system was not working, and the garage was nearly 90 degrees, so we had to leave the garage door open to help heat the house. The décor was extremely outdated, and some pieces were damaged. Essential kitchen items were missing (no mixing bowls, measuring cups, or oven mitts), and the bathroom had several issues – burned out lights and a missing center mirror from the trifold.Communication could also be improved, as we had to reach out to the owner before arrival since no entry instructions were provided.With some simple, inexpensive updates and better attention to cleanliness, this place could be a much more enjoyable stay. However, until improvements are made, I would not recommend this property.

SPECTACULAR LOCATION ! ! !

We loved our stay here ! Your backyard is Lake Huron ! 40' away from the back door. View also includes Mackinac Island and you're just a short drive from Mackinaw City and Lake Michigan. House is very well kept.

Definitely that Up North Feel

The view was AMAZING! The location was perfect! Private and quiet yet minutes to downtown. The house needs a lot of little fixes but overall very nice stay! 😊

Starting with the good great location and view. It was clean. The bad.. In the bathroom off the kitchen, the door did not close all the way/blocked by the washing machine, so it made going to the bathroom uncomfortable. The fridge in the kitchen stopped working correctly Saturday night, not keeping stuff cold. The screens in the three season room had rips, that let bugs in. several weeks before we arrived I aske Jodi for a phone number in there was issues. She did not provide one, SO If left me to believe I was a introruption of her day and not a important part of her day. Most of the lawn chairs are broken.
