Just everything you could want in a mountain top house! We arrived and it was pristine! Easy entry, well kept and beautiful home! The views were everything we wanted! We did not get a chance to take advantage of the trails but I will be back with the family to do just that! There is so much room! We started to put our things in the bedroom downstairs and then remembered about the porch upstairs. Every room we looked in looked like a master suite! Book it, you will not be disappointed!Also, the owners were super friendly with excellent communication!

Wonderful place with amazing views! We five ladies attended the Arkansas Contra Dance Society workshops Sept 5-7, 2025, at Mt Nebo State Park in the historic stone pavilion with beautiful hardwood floors. The home was perfect for our group with amenities you don’t always find in VRBO’s. A stocked kitchen, extra towels and linens, many options for sleeping arrangements, enough bathrooms for five women, with a bonus of feeding the deer AND sunset and sunrise views that will leave you in awe of God’s beautiful creation. Highly recommend this most wonderful place.

This was the best rental our family has ever stayed in. The location was absolutely beautiful, with deer coming into the yard several times every day to delight our children and add to the atmosphere. The state park and pool were a few steps away, and the view from the home was incredible. The decks were perfect for watching the sun rise. It was so nice to stay in a home that is loved by its owners. Brett and Kimberly had everything prepared and the house completely stocked for guests, and they also were available by messaging during our entire stay to answer any questions. We would rate this home more than 5 stars if we could!

Nostalgic Memorial Day Weekend Getaway

My husband’s parents had ten kids and they would take family vacations to Mount Nebo when he was a child. He’s now 71 and his first time to visit since he was fourteen. His parents along with four of the siblings are deceased, so was a very special trip for him. He reminisced about his childhood experiences during our visit. The beautiful home was perfect for our group. Everything clean, plenty of towels, nice comfortable bedding for the entire family. It was raining the majority of the weekend so we ended up staying indoors more than expected and everyone had plenty of room to have their own little hang out areas if they wanted to rest or join in on family fun playing board games. A huge bonus for the entire family was the wildlife in the yard. We all loved the deer so much, but especially my husband and it made his trip so much better. There was feed provided by the host for the wildlife which made them stay a little longer for us to enjoy. We travel often with our family and this property was on the top of my our list for comfort for the entire family. Thank you for making our family get so comfortable.
There was twenty-one deer on this visit.

Couples getaway

What a perfect place!! Everything was wonderful. The home had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and having a gas fire pit to cozy up to. We had plenty of room to move about and not feel crowded when we had guest over for our nightly dinners. We loved the convenience of the home being right in the State park. We were able to park the vehicles and walk every where we needed to go! We would definitely stay here again. BOOK IT YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED Brett & Kimberly were great host!!

Mt Nebo Getaway

Very nice house with everything we needed for a fun spring break getaway. We loved feeding the deer with the provided corn, riding the bikes around the state park, hiking, playing the games they had, and sitting on the porches and enjoying the beautiful view. My grandson was happy they had such great internet.

We came for the view, and it was crazy foggy! When the fog finally broke, the view was breathtaking. It was crazy hard to find in the fog, Google tried to drop us off in the "backyard" and have us "walk up" but the owner gave great directions and everything was perfect!

Amazing Mountain Retreat

We loved our stay at this beautiful house with amazing views! The house was beautiful inside and out. Beautifully decorated, very clean, comfortable seating areas, very comfortable beds. The hosts included every amenities that we needed for our stay. Check in was super easy and the host was helpful with all questions we had. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this beautiful mountain retreat!

This home is everything we hoped it would be and more! It is so well appointed and everything is so well thought out. Perfect Venue

First let me say, we are already talking about staying next year at this location for our anniversary. Kevin and I had a small (intimate) wedding with our family at Sunrise House. We could not have found a more perfect location. The weather held out for a beautiful outdoor wedding on the main floor deck. We loved the fact that the home is basically set up with three master bedrooms each having a restroom and each having a twin bed option in each suite. The ultimate master bedroom suite on the upper floor has a deck with the swinging bed… a must try. The views out of the massive amount of windows is quite impressive. Brett And Kimberly were most responsive and accommodating especially in the planning of the wedding…thank you ever so much in allowing us to share you home and celebrate our special day during our long weekend.

Amazing home!

The house was everything we were hoping for on our vacation. The home was well stocked with amenities, making it very easy to travel with our children. The views were spectacular, especially from the top deck. There were plenty of things to do just within walking distance, but we were also within an hour from other state parks we wanted to visit. We definitely recommend staying here...so much more comfortable than a hotel.

Blown away!

Every little detail was so well-thought out and placed! Highly recommend to anyone. My family and I usually stay in the state park cabins on Mt. Nebo but this trip totally changed our minds! We sincerely thank Brett and Kimberly for sharing their beautiful home. We will definitely be back!

A little before 2010, the state acquired our original family home, which is at the drive of our new home which we built in 2010. We have made some of my most favorite memories at this home and now welcome you to enjoy the stunning views, incredible sunrises and sunsets and a peaceful retreat that offers a great outdoor adventure. I hike every day while there and love the hiking and people that make Mt Nebo so special.
