This cozy cottage is located on Goose Creek just three miles outside of Lakewood. Lots of outdoor fun activities are an option as there is a boat dock and a large yard, making this a great stay for kids to enjoy also! Included with the cottage, a paddle boat will be available during your relaxing stay in this beautiful area. This cottage has recently been renovated and revamped with all new furniture, as of June 2021!

This is our 2nd stay at this property and again we had a great time, easy access to the lake with great fishing. We look forward to staying again in the future.

fishing trip getaway

the cottage we stayed at was perfect, right on canal with easy access to the lake. the cottage itself was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our time there.we are talking of staying again next year if available. would recommend.

Family fun - July 4

This cozy cottage is exactly what we needed. We were in town visiting family and we could walk to their place. Being on the creek was wonderful. All the neighbors were friendly. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the appliances and utensils we needed. We will definitely be staying again! This was our second year!

Took my money, never gave me access to property

Paid for the stay. Never received a check in code. Called and left a message with the owner. Never received a call back.

Great Location

The place was perfect for what we needed. Our family is nearby and we could walk between properties. Having a washer and dryer was HUGE. The bed was comfortable and the dock was perfect for our fishing boat. Communication w the property owner was easy. Very responsive-

Cozy Cabin

Quaint and quiet, perfect for our short week stay in Ashville. We enjoyed the pedal boat. Having smart TVs was great too, did not miss out on our streaming shows. Haley was very responsive to messages before and during stay. Only complaint the washer and dryer was not operational during stay. Firewood provided was nice touch.

Perfect little cozy cottage!

The place was perfect for what we were looking for. We considered this a camping trip on the lake with easy lake access by boat, so it more than satisfied our needs. Unfortunately, our boat was too large (28’ Sea Ray) to fit down Goose Creek channel, but the location was right next to Asheville Bay Marina, so we rented a slip there for the weekend. Andy at the marina was super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed every time out on the water and was always there when we returned to help us dock the boat. He went way beyond what was expected to accommodate us. The cottage was homey and has all basic necessities for a weekend on the lake. It is on the small side but has everything 2 people would need. I highly recommend, if you’re looking for something affordable just off the lake that satisfies simple needs. If you’re looking for fancy, it’s not the place for you! If we decide to return to Lake Chautauqua next year, we will be booking again!!

Great location to Jamestown

Overall our stay was very enjoyable. We had a couple hiccups in the beginning. The A.C. unit wasnt working properly. The owner was fantastic and sent someone over immediately to take a look at it. There was also a yellow jackets nest at the front of the cabin. It sounds like this has been treated a few times but its not killing them off. This is just an FYI for anyone highly allergic to them. I think an exterminator may be needed. I do recommend if you are ise to a pillowtop mattress to consider bringing an air mattress or something to help soften the bed. It was really firm. The cabin was well equipped with kitchen supplies and we cooked dinner every night. Playing cards and puzzles were also available and we had a great time as a family utilizing them. The neighbors were really nice and it was on a quiet street. The host was amaIng to work with and prompt to reply

Perfect for what we needed

We were in town to lay my grandmother to rest. This cottage was the perfect place for our stay. I had to work and the internet was high speed and worked great. I would go back.

We loved the location. One of us stayed on the futon which was uncomfortable. The microwave didn't work correctly. The outlets in the bathroom are installed crooked and could not plug in hair dryer. Really cute place, though. With a little TLC it could be great!

Terrible experience

The location was great. It was nice having access to a paddle boat, but neither offset the issues we had during our stay. The biggest concern was an issue with electrical with several rooms of lights flickering constantly. Many electrical plugs were not secured properly and angled partially into the wall making one nervous to plug anything into them. It was a very scary experience. This property was clearly remodeled poorly and many corners were cut. Additionally, the internet was non-existent and TV did not work after day one until we reached out and complained. Finally, the refrigerator did not close properly and was constantly opening and while this place indicates you can sleep 6, but if you want to do that, you need to bring your own stuff as there was only 1 wine glass, 1 hand towel in the bathroom, 2 wash clothes and 5 towels. We did NOT feel like we were at a home away from home. I will say the homeowner was responsive but was unable to address the most concerning issue surrounding the electrical.

Sweet little place.

Everything was great it smelled fresh and clean. Quiet neighborhood. We had our boat there, it is a good 10 minute ride up the creek to the lake and is a bit shallow once you get out to the lake but we made it. The ice maker did not work and I am glad I read that the water in the bathroom is opposite. Other wise no complaint perfect for your small family. Thanks for letting us stay!

Perfect size cottage. Great host communication. Just need to forewarn water in bathroom is reversed ( better yet it should be fixed).and a check-in/out instructions sheet would help with tips on what to do with trash and used linens . Host responded very quickly to any questions we asked.

Great weekend

Great experience. Great location. A lot of service fees added to the total making it too expensive for extended stay. My husband had to wash the floors himself when we got there because were not clean. ( recommend improved cleaning service)
