The Orchard Cottage at Bear Creek Ridge Farm

Not too far from everything-but maybe just far enough! Find peace, quiet, inspiration and fresh air with lots of breathing space in this bright, cheerful, artist finished home on our 38 acre farm. We strive to “serve up slow” here on the farm. Life is crazy busy nowadays. Treat yourself to a stay away from all the hectic demands of the daily grind. Two porches to choose from to enjoy your morning coffee and farm fresh eggs we leave in the fridge just for you.
Yes, we have wifi, perfect if you must “work from home”, but we also have miles of hiking trails, board games, outdoor games, a fully fenced in fire pit area, fully stocked coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar, art supplies, books… And did We even mention the adorable Barnyard Gang? Miniature cows, goats, chickens…You may even see the occasional peacock wandering about.
We are 15 minutes from adorable downtown Pittsboro, and not far from Chapel Hill, Apex, Siler City, and Sanford. We are also close to several wedding venues and Shakori Hills.

Y’all come, let us show you Southern hospitality at its finest with our meticulously cleaned home, fresh linens on well made comfortable beds, and plentiful, fluffy white towels.

We do our best to take great care of you and make your visit one you will remember. We tell every guest it is our goal to exceed your expectations and leave you planning your return visit.

Charming and Well Appointed

Diana was the ultimate hostess. She has literally thought of every single thing to make your stay cozy, comfortable, pleasant and seamless. She will go above and beyond to make your stay easy and special, depending on what you’re there for, where you’re coming from and what you may need. We enjoyed every second - the well stocked kitchen, easy access, comfortable accommodations, and the goats!! And Diana is a peach! We loved everything about our stay. We will definitely be back.

My favorite rental experience

This place is outstanding! Diana is the best host! The house had everything we needed. We traveled with two dogs, and four kids ranging from 4 years old to 8. The house was larger than expected, and there was plenty of space for everyone. There is a lot of love put into this property, and you can feel it. The beds are very, very comfy. There are thoughtful touches throughout the home. The farm animals were fun. The hiking trails are so awesome. I highly recommend this rental, and will be staying here again.

Amazing! The best vrbo yet

I almost don’t want to leave a review because I don’t want to risk not having it when I’m there. I have been in many air vrbo’s and this one is by far the bestest host there ever was. Diana and her husband are the most lovely people and they truly do this with love. She takes care of details I usually wish for but don’t expect and details I never thought of but bring a smile to my face when I’m there. Her creative style and easy going nature makes this place a gem for the passerby or the family with kids that hate to go on vacation because it’s so much work. I felt loved and taken care of which is much more than I have ever expected from lodging away from home. I would not only recommend this home, I hope to be back many times. My kids call it their farm home!

Most thoughtful Host ever

My wife and I were looking for a weekend get away and found this property. While booking the property I left a message for Diana,the owner, asking a few questions about our stay. She responded very quickly and gave plenty of recommendations. Once we arrived at the house, we were welcomed with fresh baked cookies, a personable message in the kitchen area, dog treats for our pup, and so much more. Our family has stayed at numerous VRBO's, none have had as much attention to detail for the guest as this one. It was very evident that Diana and her husband wanted to exceed their guests expectations. They certainly did. We enjoyed petting the farm animals on the back of the property. Pittsboro is a small town just 10-15 minutes away from the property. We enjoyed walking around downtown with our dog . We went fishing at the Haw River and Jordan lake, which was nice and relaxing. We will visit the area again and we'll definitely stay here, hopefully longer the next time!
