This two bedroom, two bathroom home is situated on five private acres and includes horse facilities for those who would like to bring their equine friends along. With easy access to walking/biking trails, ancient petroglyphs right on the property, beautiful silence and expansive, dark night sky, this special home has all the makings for a quiet, contemplative retreat from the hubbub of daily life. Bunnies, bobcats, and coyotes roam the property. 360-degree views of a sequence of mountain ranges that surround the ranch afford beautiful vistas from every vantage point.

Great ranch house with abundant privacy & comfort & peace to abound. The amenities were very nice. Kitchen & sitting areas, and, so very clean Great history surrounding that property, makes you connected to the past just being there, which is awesome Country roads take you home others have made their own, and, you see Only things missing were suntan chairs, telescope or binoculars for the amazing skies out hereThe host is awesome & very responsive to any needWere very fortunate to have found as we had need to find rented house awaiting our everything in a move this Christmas season ThankYouThankYouThankYouThankYou VRBO

What a special property! A few miles outside of Santa Fe with vistas in every direction, the home is full of Western memorabilia and artifacts. It is also spacious and comfortable. Our host was quick to respond and very helpful. I enjoyed reading the history of the property. We spent several days sightseeing but were happy to return, grill, and watch the fabulous sunsets each evening and listen to the horses nearby.

Great location for mountain & desert views!

We had a great time staying here. The mountains and desert scenery were breathtaking. The property was comfortable and made for a great stay. We are looking to return in the future.

July stay

The place was great. You have to drive down rural roads to an isolated,quiet place. I prefer that to city streets. We stayed the hottest days of the year. We had to figure out the cooling without ac. Once we figured that out it was perfect. I highly recommend it.

Great Ranch House!

Felt like we lived on a wonderful property with great views, very clean, very comfy, all the amenities you could need, beds were great, felt safe. Bonnie was great at communication and checking in with us. Would recommend and stay again! Thanks for the memories!

Rustic getaway

The ranch is a bit remote, but that is also part of the charm. You feel like there is nothing around you but miles of ranch land, and that is pretty close to the truth. Yet, only about a half hour drive to the Plaza in Santa Fe. We have visited twice, and will do so again.

Santa Fe ranch

If you want some quiet and a beautiful rural setting, this is a great home to stay in. The house is well kept, and the decor is charming. It is about 15 minutes outside of town, so don't be surprised. We found it to be well worth the extra travel.

Relaxing time outside of Santa Fe

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rustic Ranch Retreat. It was very quiet and peaceful here, and we loved the 360 degree views. We went out to see the amazing stars every night and enjoyed watching thunderstorms in the distance on several nights. The home is decorated very nicely, and we had fun looking at all of the pictures and books throughout the house. The sun room was a nice place to hang out and looks like it would be a great for family game nights. We would love to stay again sometime!

Great atmosphere

My wife and college age son stayed here on spring break. Easy check in. Clean home. Lived being away from everything as it's out in the country. That allowed space for us to wander around outdoors. The home is interesting and full of western and southwestern decor. Beds were comfy.

Enchanting Getaway

We considered staying in downtown Santa Fe, but we’re so pleased that we chose this lovely, secluded option instead. We so enjoyed the incredible furnishings (so much art and southwest flavor throughout!), the enhanced relaxation that came with being out in the country, and the balm for the spirit that we felt in this tranquil setting. We heard coyotes howl and crows caw, we enjoyed the mystery of the petroglyphs on the property, and we especially enjoyed watching the dramatic lightning storms dancing in the distance. The commute to the sights of Santa Fe is very easy, and nearby Eldorado has several conveniences if you find yourselves, like we did, wanting to languish in the soul-soothing ambiance of this sweet spot.

Relaxing

The property is peaceful, off the beaten track, and desert scenery. There were no animals sighted beyond birds and horses. Two of the evenings brought a quick thunderstorm which was just beautiful. The third night we were able to see an expanse of stars. The house was a little farther from town, trees, and amenities than we realized. Additionally, the dirt road dissuaded us from coming and going. We left in the morning and returned with supper to stay in for the evening. The home is lovely. We both thought the house was hot and sat/slept in front of fans with the windows open in the evenings. Overall, this was a great place to unwind and the property manager was very responsive.

Breathtaking Views

We will definitely be back. From the rustic decor, to the picturesque landscape, the description does not do it Justice! A must if you want the art life of Santa Fe but the privacy of your own home.
