A wonderful lakefront experience awaits at this secluded, family-friendly cottage! With Branch Lake right behind the home, you'll enjoy endless water activities and a backdrop like no other. Admire beautiful lake views from your private and enclosed balcony equipped with a couple of chairs and a gas grill. Barbecues with lake views, anyone? This one-bedroom cottage is perfect for a small family, a couple, and even friends. Gather around the flatscreen TV with delicious snacks prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen and get ready for an entertaining movie night. Boasting a full bathroom, a washer/dryer on site, and all the comforts of a home, this retreat is just perfect for a secluded escape!

Swim right off our dock or launch your boat for a lake excursion that your whole family will enjoy. You will love the countless things to do on the lake!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Amazing view

The view is everything. The home did lack cleanliness. Spider webs in numerous spots. I would have expected this to be cleaned. A simple walk through with a broom. Dead bugs in shower and fridge. Additionally there was a mouse visitor. We got it move outside. I did see one mouse trap because I nearly stepped on it. No warning of mouse traps being in the cabin. I would recommend sticky traps vs traditional. The bed needs to be replaced. The cabin was musty and needs a dehumidifier. Once the windows were opened it all cleared up. All that aside the view is outstanding. We loved just sitting and looking at the water. I would stay here again if managed by a different company.

Charming College

The cottage was perfect except the ad includes a gas fireplace which apparently is not available in the summer months. I was very disappointed and believe this needs to be better explained in the promotional material.

What A Nightmare!

This property DOES NOT live up to the listing in any way, shape, or form. Upon arrival, the property was very worn and dilapidated. To sum it up, we dealt with structural issues of the food bridge and stairs, leaking shower, an unstable toilet from the shower damage, the smell of feces and urine, a washer that wouldn’t drain and dryer that was blowing moisture and lint into our bedroom. In addition, there was a very evident rodent and insect infestation, as well as mold/ mildew. We reported these concerns to Vacasa, the property management company, two days into our trip. They sent a handy man, who noted the severity of the conditions and said himself that this was not what we paid for and a refund would be coming. He created a maintenance ticket and would be sending someone the next day for the washer and dryer. The next day, a kid came and connected the exhaust tube, but said he was not authorized to fix the washer - a repairman from a local appliance store would be by. I waited two more days for Brown’s Appliance, who determined it would be a few more days because it need a new pump. Nothing really got resolved. My elderly in laws left early due to the conditions. We stayed hoping the next day would bring a resolution.Again, we called Vacasa on Friday, our second to last day. Finally asking for a refund due to the horrible conditions and losing 3+ days waiting for repairmen. Their offer was 15% off a future Vacasa stay, we found insulting. What a nightmare!

Beautiful view, but very musky.

The house is very musky and is in desperate need of a dehumidifier. The humidity in the house is over 95%. I had to give my son an asthma treatment because of the moisture and likely mold. The carpeting in the living area closest to the lake and no rain guards on the screened in porch windows were less than ideal in rainy conditions. The trash storage was also at capacity when we arrived and is next to the dining room window which has a smell coming through the house.

Great Lake Vacation

We enjoyed the quaintness of this lake house. It was well appointed with all necessary amenities. We found it very beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The dock and screened porch were great for reading and water activities. We visited Acadia National Park 3 days ,Bar Harbor and Ellsworth . A great place for a lake vacation. One suggestion would be 1 or 2 kayaks available for renters.
