Lakeside cabin retreat with activities right outside the front door. Enjoy the lake life during all four seasons.

Cozy year-round cabin on Platte Lake, less than 2 hours north of the Twin Cities. Great year-round recreation area. Platte Lake is 1600+ acres and has access via channel to Lake Sullivan with 1100+ acres. Both good fishing lakes in summer and winter - northern pike, crappie, sunfish, bass and walleye.

Relax and experience the lake life during your stay at our lakeside retreat. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets by the bonfire right next to the lake every evening! Bring your own boat (launch available at public access on lake) and take advantage of 100' of perfect sand beach for all summer watersports - swimming, waterskiing, tubing, and fishing. ATV trails are nearby for spring, summer and fall riding. In the winter enjoy ice fishing and easy access to snowmobile trails. Build a fire in the woodstove and enjoy the fabulous view while watching movies, playing board games, or reading a good book. The lake is beautiful throughout the year!

Our cabin is the perfect spot for a family vacation, couples' getaway, or hanging out with your best friends. There is plenty of room for 7-8 adults to sleep comfortably, with 3 bedrooms (3rd bedroom is a sleeping loft). Living & dining rooms feature panoramic lake views. A TV/DVD player for movie nights and a stereo/CD player for listening to your favorite tunes. Free Wifi provides high speed internet access for those who may need to work during their stay. Prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen, just bring your own food and drinks. Some staple items are available. Both gas and charcoal grills are available for your use outside. Bring your own charcoal.

Early check-in or late check-out may be available, based on occupancy prior to and following your stay. Please confirm arrival and departure times with the hosts before your stay.

Relaxing Family getaway

Beautiful property, gorgeous lake view, large sandy beach, house big enough for a family to all sleep comfortably, boat launch nearby. Hosts were communicative and responsive. Only issue we had was it was quite rainy two days and the home isn’t very close to any attractions, but we knew this going into our stay so wasn’t an issue. Would definitely and stay again.

Family of four stayed over memorial weekend. Cabin has a beautiful view of the lake. Neighborhood is very peaceful and the cabin description is accurate. Dock access for our boat was very handy.

The sweetest property on a beautiful lake.We've been coming to Platte for decades, but this was our first time renting a cabin. We loved the homey feel of the cabin, and were impressed by its clever use of space.Communication was a dream, to boot.Definitely recommend.

Wonderful stay for the 4th

We had a wonderful stay for the 4th where we enjoyed the scenery, fishing, kayaking and relaxing. The house and property were just as described and Jeanette was very helpful and responsive.

Lovely little cabin on Platte Lake

This was a perfect little cabin for our family of 7 to spend Memorial Day weekend. The Baniecke family were wonderful hosts! We would definitely recommend this VRBO.

Family weekend

Beautiful sunsets. Outdoor areas great for outdoor games (we brought cornhole), eating Al fresco, and campfires. Lake was nice, had some activity but not overly loud. Boat launch is not too far and dock at cabin was very nice. Took daily 2 mile walks on the road, neighborhood seemed friendly - bring your books to exchange at the Little Free Libraries. Cabin was clean and cozy, had everything we needed to cook our meals and space for game nights.

Ice Fishing Weekend

Had a wonderful time staying in the cabin. The cabin was clean, warm, and inviting. The lake is also really great fishing and you can walk to some really nice spots.

This is a great cozy little cabin with incredible views of the sun set. The cabin was exactly as described. The hosts Scott and Jeanette were very helpful and responsive to my needs. Definitely a place I would stay again.

Great vacation! Nice area to swim. Great Lake to enjoy. Fishing off the dock was a hit for the kids. Plenty of room for some yard games. Cabin had everything we needed for a week long stay. Will stay again. Thank you!

Family Holiday

Enjoy the property and the closeness to the lake. The yard space allows us to set up a tent, set up badminton and bean bags/ corn hole. We kayaked and swam in the lake, we had a great time.

Wonderful

The cabin was wonderful! Very accommodating! The lakeshore front was excellent. The property grounds were great; perfect setting for a tent, game of bags, football and running around. Water is very clear. My family enjoyed ourselves very much and will definitely be rebooking!!!

3 night family getaway

Owners did a really nice job with this. They left all the little things there to make your stay feel like home. I parked my 20’ ranger on your very own dock. Bonfires at night. Everything was perfect. My family had a great time!

Ice fishing

My wife and I were looking to do some ice fishing and only had to walk out about 300 yards to enjoy some good crappie fishing. Cabin is only 50' from the lake so it was an easy walk.

Perfection - 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS!

This cabin has it all! The hosts are very generous and have thought of everything and then some. We traveled with our 3 college aged kids and their friends. Even the young adults raved and want to return again! The view is spectacular and we paddle boarded all week. We didn't want to leave!! The Syck Family
