Mountain chalet

Our chalet was built in 2020 with all new furnishings and amenities. It is nestled in the woods of Powder Mill. Several trails and ponds are within walking distance.

The layout is an open floor plan with stone fireplace and wood-burning insert.

Our chalet features: three bedrooms and two full baths, a full size deck with grill, back porch and fire pit, all in wooded surroundings. Easy access to highway and convenient shopping in nearby Londonderry (5 miles away).

Four ski resorts: Magic Mountain, Bromley, Okemo, and Stratton Mountain, are all within thirty minutes drive. Beautiful Lowell Lake State Park is ten minutes away.

It is quiet. Off-road vehicles, with the exception of snow mobiles, are not allowed.
Cross country ski trails are groomed each winter.

The place is only 10 minutes from the ski slopes! Everything was very clean and cozy. The beds and pillows are very firm, which we like, but they may be a bit firm for others. Mike was very responsive to questions and information. Thanks for everything!

A Quiet Place to Relax

A relaxing weekend with family. Perfect place for two couples or a small family. Close to mountains, restaurants and shopping. We over packed bringing more pans and cooking equipment since many rentals are not as equipped. Owner communicated well. Had a much needed and relaxing long weekend. It snowed and the driveway and roads were cleared nicely, so we were able to travel when and where we wanted.

Quiet retreat

One of the cleanest homes we’ve ever stayed in !!!! And they utilized their space so perfectly. The deck was big and spacious and the fire pit was a highlight had a fire every evening,,, if you love being outdoors and exploring trails this is the perfect spot Londonderry never disappoints Mike really was a super host !!!!

Christmas stay

The house is in a great location and very convenient for skiers. Mike is a great host and our correspondence's are always smooth. The house is perfect for my family with 3 kids and a dog.

This is our second year staying at your property. We thoroughly enjoy staying here not only for the beautiful setting but for the cleanliness and location to parks and other area attractions. The place is very cozy and welcoming. Our group is of the mature age so with the bathroom located on the first floor and a walk-in shower we were a happy group!! End of August, '23

We had a great time during our vacation in Londonderry. This property was comfortable, and well maintained. Everything in the listing was correct and accurate. The owner provided enough of all of the basic supplies in order to help us get settled comfortably. The area has recently been struggling with very heavy rains, but we were fortunate that this property suffered very few ill effects. If we ever return to this area I would definately look to rent this property again.

Perfect!

The house and property were perfect! It was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. My family and I went for an extended weekend to go skiing. Stratton was only 25 minutes away. Mike was also extremely responsive and helped with all questions. None of my questions had to do with his house or property, but he still took time to answer each one. We appreciate that so much! I would come back to this house in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for an adventurous weekend - it is definitely one that none of us will forget. Thank you for sharing your house with us!

Modern, clean and comfortable

There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably and enjoy privacy or hang out together downstairs. All modern appliances and furnishings. Every amenity you could ask for. What a wonderful place to stay for our ski vacation!

New Years Eve week

We had a wonderful time staying in your home. The house was newly renovated and had all the necessities for a week stay. It accommodated my party of 6 very well. Unfortunately, we came to ski and the weather was rainy/overcast :( but we enjoyed relaxing in the house and we still skied at Okemo. For those coming in the rainy season the house is on an unpaved road and one should be aware of this when approaching the house. I would definitely return in the future!

Family Fall Getaway

We had a great time visiting Vermont to enjoy the Fall weather and leaves. The property was easy to get to, but secluded and peaceful. The bathrooms were clean with good water pressure and lots of hot water. There were plenty of towels, even for the six of us in our family. The bedrooms were nice and comfortable. There was some residual animal hair, as is usual for a home with pets. We are not pet owners. The linens were provided. They were soft and clean. We made up our beds once we arrived. The upstairs loft bedroom had camp beds, which my kids loved and thought were great fun. The windows in the loft do not have curtains yet. The kitchen was well stocked and very easy to use. The home provides some coffee and tea and basic cooking spices, oil, ketchup, mustard, and jelly. We used the two-slice toaster a lot! There were ice cube trays and a couple reusable ice packs. We took advantage of these to pack picnics. There were lots of reusable shopping bags for us to use. I brought my own small soft-sides cooler. It was lovely to cook in the kitchen and look out the window and beautiful fall trees. The weather was mild and we left the porch door open evenings with the screen closed up enjoy fresh air inside. We enjoyed a night around the fire pit roasting s’mores! The owners had even thoughtfully left some wooden skewers for the task! There is a grill on the deck, too, but we did not use it ourselves this time. The deck had some nice loungers and a table and chairs. The front porch has a rocking chair. We had a lovely time and felt very comfortable and very much at home at this property. Thank you!!

Beautiful Chateau in the woods!

We do a family trip every year and usually have 6 people going. This was so clean and homey. The deck has sun in the afternoon but shade in the morning and at night. The fire pit is very nice and we had a wonderful time. We drove to Quechee gorge and through the towns and just loved it. If you go for a ride to Ludlow stop and eat at the Hatchery!!! VT Central

The location was perfect, felt secluded, but there were other houses close enough to keep the larger critters at bay. Was reasonably close to a lot of parks/trails and other attractions. Over all a fantastic getaway
