This 3 bedroom cabin is minutes from downtown Townsend and close to Tuckaleechee Caverns and Cades Cove. You'll never run out of things to do at the cabin either. Check out the hot tub, air hockey table, shuffleboard table, fire pit, board games, or arcade games. Cook in one of two kitchens. Kick back in the recliner and watch a movie on the Smart TV with the fireplace on. Sit on the porch and enjoy mountain views in the rocking chairs, porch swing, or swinging bed.

Welcome to Tuckaleechee Farmhouse by Smoky Retreat TN, a beautiful cabin near Tuckaleechee Caverns and the Cade's Cove entrance to Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Enjoy the peaceful side of the Smokys with multiple decks and a gorgeous mountain view. This cabin has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two kitchens.

Sip your coffee out on the deck while sitting in a comfy rocking chair. Lay in the porch bed and take an afternoon nap. Hang out in the cabin and play board games or air hockey. Take advantage of the kitchens by making a family favorite recipe. Tip-toe up to the bunk room and find the special play place. Enjoy a campfire in the front yard.

The setting was beautiful with a great view of the mountains. The cabin was spacious and well equipped. The teens loved all of the games. Being able to have our fur babies with us made all the difference. The steps were a bit challenging but we just walked around when it wasn't raining. We would definitely stay again.

Summer Get-A-Way

Loved this property’s location. We prefer to stay away from the ‘strip’ and this was perfect! Plenty of room and the porch’s swinging bed was a huge hit.

Visiting our family that lives in Townsend .

The property was perfect for our group. The property was private yet not too far from downtown. The cabin and property were very well maintained. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to o unwind and enjoy “the Smokes” from their back door.

Fun at the cabin

We had a great time. The cabin has everything you need to have a restful and fun filled time from hot tub, firepit, fireplace and all kind of games both table and video. Well stocked kitchen and very clean. This is the 3rd year at Nicole's place and we will be back again. Thanks for such a great place!

TN family trip

We travelled to TN with 5 teenagers and 2 adults. Overall the property worked perfectly. There was plenty of things to keep them busy when at the farmhouse and the space worked well for our group.

Family get away

We had a great experience here! I took my family of 8 and had plenty of room to spread out. We were pleasantly surprised by just how well stocked the kitchen was including an instant pot and blender! The yard was perfect for catching fireflies and roasting marshmallows. Great location- easy access to attractions, but still quiet. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect for families

Was set up wonderfully for myself and my spouse and two grown children and grandchildren. We all had our own private spaces. The kids had a blast with all the games and the great yard space. Owners were very patient with all my questions.

Entertaining

Our plan was to do nothing and just enjoy some down time as a family. This was a great place to do that. We found the games very entertaining and the living room was big and spacious for our VR headsets.

Beautiful cabin - perfect for families

The cabin is much bigger than it appeared so we were pleasantly surprised. There’s so much space! Everything was well maintained and clean. The large family room was perfect for watching a movie. We loved the air hockey and foosball table. Having 2 kitchens was great since we cooked dinner every night - including a full Thanksgiving dinner. The location is perfect- there’s so much to do Townsend. I only wish we stayed longer so we could have taken advantage of the hot tub and the fire pit.

Snow much fun!

We stayed right before Christmas during the 1st snow days of the season. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the hot tub stayed at temperature during the freezing nights. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. The owners were excellent with communication, and made sure we were aware of the weather warnings and rolling blackouts that can occur. There was only 6 of us but we would be comfortable renting this cabin along with another family. So much to do in the cabin and so much space. Being from out of town and not used to snow one of our vacations days was spent enjoying the cabin and we had a blast.

Spotty internet

Overall a good experience. The floors were in need of a good scrubbing but the kitchen and baths were clean and mildew free. The internet was slow thus the smart TV buffered a lot. The bed linens were clean but the pillows and mattresses were of average quality. If you’re looking for high end then the farmhouse is not for you.

We're glad you had a good experience at Farmhouse! Internet is typically very good so I wish you would have contacted us about the buffering so we could troubleshoot it. Pillows and mattresses are all less than a year old and we chose more expensive ones for our guests comfort, I apologize they didn't feel quite right for you. We strive to provide quality and comfort for our guests but do not advertise as a high end property. High end properties in the Smokies easily rent for three times more than our prices.

We are extremely sorry that the stay was not as you expected. The hot tub was an inch or two low (definitely not half) because strong winds came through and took the cover off. We had someone on property within 10 minutes to get it filled properly so guest could use it. There was no mention of any issues with the floors to us or the maintenance person, we absolutely would have cleaned them again to guest satisfaction. We strive to make every stay 5 stars and I think that was evident in the extremely fast response time.

Fantastic

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. It is a wonderful place for the family. There is plenty of room for all and we were not on top of each other. We especially enjoy the front porch with the bed swing. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen including crockpot, instapot and blender. We have small children so the outdoor space and swing was great plus all the game tables and video games. Highly recommond. Nicole is great and checks to see if everything is in order. Only complaint is the cleaners arrived about 30 minutes prior to check out time and sat in driveway starring at us while we loaded our vechicles.

The Farmhouse

We really enjoyed our time here. We have four kids between 8 and 14, so we needed a space that could hold us all. This is a large house with plenty of room for all of us. It's a short drive into Townsend and the National Park. The owners were easy to communicate with if you message them through the app or website. Responding to emails doesn't work and they don't give their cell phone number to contact them. This house does have steep stairs going into the basement, so be careful. Also, there is a rooster that will crow early in the morning and will wake you up anywhere between 4 and 5:30am everyday. Overall, the home had everything we needed.

Water water

Hot water heater leaked the entire time we were there. Had to vacuum up water 3 or 4 times a day just to use the kitchen. Plumber was called but did not repair properly. Other than that it was fine. Check in was messed up. We arrived at the house and still had not received entry code.

Brand new water heater was installed days before guest arrived. Guest notified us of issues and we had someone out there to fix asap. We also had someone coming to clean up the water in the second kitchen until guest offered to vacuum it up himself. The offer was very much appreciated but not expected. All water heater issues have been fixed and many guests have enjoyed the home without issue since.

We started out traveling exclusively in our rv, but fell in love with short term rentals when we explored Europe in 2019. We have been to all 50 states and over 10 countries as we seek to learn more about the diversity that makes each place unique and special. This cabin is a family passion. We are teaching our children about construction, basic repairs, budgeting, hospitality, compassion, and loving others well. They are involved in this property and we hope that they will grow to love hosting as much as we do.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We have been all across the country in our travels and found that we kept coming back to the Smoky Mountains because we love the area so much. Staying in a log cabin and sitting out on the deck in the porch swing looking at the mountain side gives us peace. This is where we come to take a rest and reset. The view is one of our favorite features. We love everything about the deck. This is where priceless memories are made and we wanted to offer that to others when we were out exploring.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This cabin has two kitchens which is very unique. The deck is also a huge focal point as it has a porch swing, a swinging porch bed, and rocking chairs. The hot tub is on the lower level deck and the fire pit for a cozy wood burning fire isn't far away. The property also has a bit of a yard which you don't always find in the Smokies. No steep mountain roads to climb.
