Black Bear Cabin es un acogedor y confortable alquiler de cabañas en la hermosa península de Keweenaw. Ubicada a una milla al norte de Chassell, la cabina está disponible de abril a octubre. Black Bear Cabin es su hogar para explorar los sitios y atracciones de Keweenaw. La cabaña se encuentra a 1,6 km de la playa de Chassell y está a poca distancia en coche de todos los destinos turísticos de la península de Keweenaw. This property was excellently maintained and in a very good location for day trips throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula. After full days of hiking and touring it was the perfect place to come home to and relax around the fire. Kriss was a great host too!

We had a wonderful week at Black Bear Cabin. It was a convenient home base for our day trips into the Keweenaw. The cabin felt cozy, but was still spacious enough that we weren’t tripping over each other. Kriss was a wonderful host and checked in on us after a few days to make sure things were going smoothly. We will definitely check availability if we decide to explore more of the area again.

Cozy bear cabin! Kriss provided timely communication, excellent list of food recommendations and a clean cabin with nice bath towels. She even texted partway through our stay, checking in to see if we needed anything. This was our second time renting this cabin.The location was perfect for our adventures. Located in a clearing isolated from other houses.Highly recommend this rental.

Great location

This cabin is in a great location for visiting Michigan Tech. You get to stay on a beautiful country property but are only 10 minutes from campus.

The big bear cabin was a perfect size for the 3 of us. All by itself in the middle of a wooded area. Great location for travel around the Keewenaw peninsula. The host provided some great restaurant recommendations.

Great getaway spot

Nice private setting cabin but still close enough to the city for shopping and activities. The path that goes around portage lake is nice for walking and biking and leads right down to the community park and beach. Overall nice place to get away from it all.

Black bear cabin

It was a beautiful cabin and so comfy. There was so much to do around us, and any questions we had they answered. I definitely recommend staying here. Beautiful scenery.

Great location to book

We had a great experience at Black Bear Cabin - came up for Michigan Tech hockey camp and the drive was a short from the cabin ti the college. Only enhancement I can think of it to add a washer and dryer but other than that worked perfectly for our stay.

Anniversary stay

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Black Bear Cabin. The cabin and Michigan did not disappoint. The cabin was beautifully located in a scenic area yet close to many sightseeing activities. I highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a cabin getaway!

Peaceful Getaway

The fall colors were spectacular! The cabin is cozy, and Kriss went far above and beyond in communicating and helping when we had car problems. I would highly recommend this property!

Perfect for us

Kriss is a staple for us now. Everything was perfect and it immediately felt like a home to us. Houghton is a beautiful town with tons of great people running great businesses. Honestly, I miss it, I can't wait to return.

Beautiful setting, close to everything.

Black Bear Cabin was very clean, comfortable and close to all of the wonderful sights the Kewenaw has to offer. The beautiful setting was enhanced by the wildlife just outside the windows, there were fawns eating just off the deck. I would recommend this cozy cabin if you are planning a trip to copper country.

Kriss Bosley manages our two vacation rentals and works as a Title 1 Teacher in the Houghton-Portage Township School District. Kriss has degrees in Business Administration and Elementary Education. Ray is an IT Systems Engineer at Calumet Electronics and a part-time photographer. Ray Bosley has a degree in Computer Science from Michigan Technological University. We are both Copper Country natives, love the area and its beauty. Our daughter Gabby is 15 years old.

We purchased the log cabin from a friend who now resides outside of the U.S. We always loved the cabin and its cozy feel. When our friend decided it was time to sell, we jumped at the chance to own such a beautiful property and have never looked back. Our guests have often commented how the cabin feels like it's in the country, but is only a mile to Chassell or ten minutes to Houghton.

Cozy, quiet, peaceful. The location and decor of this cabin instantly relaxes us. We also love fires in the beautiful stone fireplace and relaxing around the outdoor fire pit.
