Fantastic view of the lake, fall colors were still beautiful, accommodations were as advertised. We had a great weekend!The cabin was clean inside and out. The kitchen had everything we needed, and Sarah (the host) was very helpful and quick to provide information when requested.

Great getaway

We enjoyed the cabin, fire pit and quietness of the area. We would definitely make the trip back to stay again.

Very nice cabin. Host was very nice & easy to communicate with. This cabin #1 was not directly on the water front. But it works very well with very easy & close access. It does have its own dock area. Cabin #3 is the one you want.

Perfect location to enjoy Lake Houghton. Provided kayaks and paddleboards made the trip for us and our grandkids.

Nice cabin for our week long fishing trip. Easy booking , check in , manager Sarah W was real easy and accommodating to work with.Parking for trucks and trailers was somewhat problematic , but not the fault of owners - strictly a township ordinance issue.Regardless , we had a great time and caught a lot of fish.

Perfect getaway

This property is gorgeous and right on the lake. We loved the private deck and use of the kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. The house was clean and decorated nicely. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals.

This cottage (#1) is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The owner is very pleasant and available. The beds are comfortable too! My favorite was the sun room. Great way to wake up with coffee in the morning and watch the sun come up. Definitely a place to come back to!

Great Location

The location was great. The neighbors were friendly. The only thing I wished for was a sandy area for the kids to play in, but there was a sandy public beach not that far from the house. The owner was extremely responsive during our stay. Nice breeze off the lake.

fishing trip

Cottage was great for the four of us for the weeks stay.Plenty of room, even though the kitchen area is a little tight. We were able to fish the day and rest comfortably in the evening , inside or outside. We plan to return.

Very clean and great communication

Our previous rental cancelled on us a week before we were to arrive. We scrambled to find a new place to stay. While it wasn't the same as we had previously booked, we had a great time. The place was very clean and had everything we needed.

Fab Five Vacation

Perfect location and the cabin reminded us of the cottage my grampa had up here, so we enjoyed reminiscing. Everything worked except the few bulbs in some of the lamps. Other than that, it was just what we were looking for! Great experience for all of us!

This is a very well kept up cabin just steps from Houghton Lake. There are 3 cabins on the property and they all have access to a dock with paddle boards, and kayaks. If you have a boat there is a place to anchor it off the dock and there are jet ski lifts available. The host is very responsive. It was the perfect size for me to share a couple of days on the lake with 3 of my Grandchildren. I will definately be back

Great launching point

This is a great place to either spend the day in the local area, or to head to other places. We used it as jumping off point to head to the UP for a day trip, and to do some local putt-putt etc. If you're looking for a sandy beach for kids, it's a short drive away. Our two teen girls enjoyed the water and the paddle boards. Bring extra cash for local restaurants. Most places charged a convenience fee for credit cards. With the breeze from the water, we didn't need to use the a/c at all. I enjoyed our stay here.

Ok cabin - nothing special

Small but clean. No extra staples - toilet paper, garbage bags or paper towels. I had to go out and buy it.
