Amazing stay. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach on a private path. The house is well stocked for families (spices, beach chairs, boogie boards, kitchen equipment). Pool was super clean and lovely. We had an amazing stay and the caretaker was super responsive as well. We will definitely be coming back.

The Aloha Way

We took our three adult children to enjoy a family vacation - which we probably won't get to do again soon as they are leaving the nest! We cooked family meals, walked to the beach everyday, swam in the pool and had the best time ever! Memories of a lifetime! The home was cozy and met all of our needs - great kitchen and BBQ. The property manger checked in and was the nicest guy ever. He was easy to work with and even went above and beyond. God bless him! We hope to visit again because this may very well be the best kept secret on Oahu.

Wonderful Home

Happy Hawaiian Holiday

Our family of 8 had a wonderful week at this property. The location was perfect to access all parts of the island easily from Waikiki to the North Shore and we made the most of it. it’s also just a short walk to the Kailua beach that we went to several times. The house and the pool are taken care of well and have everything you need for a great vacation!!

Hawaii Paradise

We spent 2 wks here and enjoyed every single second. We had beautiful weather, excellent quick access to the beautiful beach that offered the clearest blue water, as well as, breath taking sunrise and sunset views. Lazy days we enjoyed time together in the pool and hot tub. We enjoyed site seeing all over Hawaii. This was the perfect home for 8 adults.

Great home.

This home was perfect for our vacation. The separation of the bedrooms gave everyone privacy. The beach was so close. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and so convenient with 3 and 1 year old grandkids. The house is close enough to stores and restaurants yet the street was quiet. Really great place!!!!

Family Vacation

I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again! It is a great location within walking distance to a quiet beach away from the crowds, which is exactly what we wanted. However, if you want to go to Honolulu or Waikiki it is only a 30 minute drive away. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of room for our group of 5. Property owner and caretaker communication was quick and very helpful.

Spectacular!

Spectacular property located beachside! Our family came together to attend my youngest son's wedding @ Kualoa Ranch. The house was perfect for our needs. The pool kept the kids busy while the adults conversed and enjoyed the spa. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. Of the 4 rental properties our other friends and relatives had..hands down. ours was definitely the best. Very grateful for its availability

Great home in Kailua for our family getaway!

My family and I enjoyed Lynette's home for 7 days in Kailua and everything from the location, home condition, check-in and check-out processes were as expected or exceeded our expectations! The house is well stocked with the basics you will need for your stay and beds were super comfy. We enjoyed the pool and spa daily and the lush gardens in the backyard provided privacy. Everything you need is close by and there are also great recommendations on places to eat in the welcome book provided. We were sad to leave but we hope to return and stay here again in the future!

Everything you need!

The house is truly lovely and had everything we needed. Very comfortable for the 7 of us and close to shops, restaurants, grocery store etc. My 82 year old father even enjoyed doing laps in the pool. The walk to the beach was easy and down a private safe path. We used the wagon to help bring our things down. John the property manager was very professional and friendly! If we ever plan to rent a beach house again this is where we will stay!! Thank you:

Just as advertised

Our family of 6 adults had plenty of space. Walk to the beach was convenient and quick, with wagons and beach chairs provided. We had the beach pretty much to ourselves except walkers passing by. If we weren’t at the ocean, we were sitting at the pool. Home was clean and had all the kitchen amenities we needed. Pool service and garbage services were taken care of on the days that were posted. We were met by the caretaker upon check in who gave us the rundown on the property and was able to answer all of our questions and so we did not have any need to contact him during our stay. This was our second time staying in the area but first time at this property. We will return here for future stays!

The way to stay away from resorts for a better vacation

The location of this home was so amazing we felt sorry for all the visitors who were stuck in high rise hotels on Waikiki. The home was fully equipped. The owners were readily available to help but, the home is so well equipped, there really wasn't anything that hadn't be anticipated. We were there for 8 days. We should have stayed for 10 days. Next time. It was very short walk to Kailua beach. Look at the pictures of the house and Kailua beach and consider if you want to be held hostage in a resort or live like a very comfortable local. It would not be fair to NOT give this home the highest possible recommendation even though it will make it more difficult to find open dates in the future.

Private Pool Paradise!

Property owner had stellar communication prior to travel. She recommended a photographer who did a fantastic job on our family beach pics. She also recommended off tour activities. Upon arrival, check in was simple. The home was clean, had comfortable beds, linens and pillows and was completely set up in the kitchen for cooking as well as the grill for BBQing. The beach access was truly a short 3 minute walk down an alley that made you feel like you were going on an adventure to a secret beach. The beach was never crowded and the sunrises were out of this world. Warm, clean water and sand. Our favorite part was the pool. The lush surroundings were everything you dream Hawaii would offer. Our little girls hopped in first thing every morning and every chance they had in between beach time and activities. Just perfect!

Aussies living like Hawaiians

Wow what a place to stay! Our family of 5 (incl 3 girls under 12), headed to Hawaii for 2 weeks and instead of going to another island for a week, we decided to go to Kailua, rent a house, chill and live like a local - and Kailua certainly delivered. Waikiki can be busy in the summer seasons, think lines for every meal, and whilst we loved every moment of that part of our trip, Kailua Bay will certainly be the highlight. If you are considering a trip of this nature, and looking at this review, you want some reassurance its the right decision - it was for us. You'll find a meticulously clean, well appointed 5 bed home within a 1 minute walk to the beach, quick ride to multiple shopping zones, and easy access to everything considered "north" . We saw turtles everyday whilst in this area, not out front but at Kailua beach, Lanikai, and of course up the north shore drive. The home is extremely well set out, particularly if you want some room to be together and apart at the same time. The owners have thought of everything. John the caretaker is a legend and super helpful, but really you will just feel like it's your place when you arrive. We travel a lot and cannot fault this home. Don't hesitate just book

It’s everything and more!

This is absolutely stunning and beautifully maintained. My family of six stayed here and it is truly the best place we’ve ever stayed in on Hawaii. The neighborhood is quiet and serene. The short walk to an uncrowded section of Kailua beach is absolutely amazing. Having the ability to rinse off the sand outside the house and quickly jump into the hot tub is surreal. The house had everything we needed from the a full kitchen with all the cooking supplies we needed to extra goggles for the beach. All the beds were comfortable. The couch is even comfortable, which is hard to find in a short term rental!. It’s in close proximity to Safeway and target to help you stock up on groceries and any supplies you may have forgotten. It’s about five minutes away from Island Snow. IYKYK. The property is perfectly placed between going to Kualoa Ranch and the Polynesian Culture Center to visiting Honolulu on the other side of the Ko’oluas. Whether you’re here for the tourist thing or you’re here to get away from it all, this is a place you want to stay at. The communication with the caretaker was phenomenal. They even called twice just to check in to see if we needed anything.. We highly recommend this property to anyone and definitely will be back!

Wonderful House and Location

This house was exactly what we wanted. The kitchen is really well stocked which I appreciated. I commented that the only thing missing was a garlic press. Otherwise was good (probably better) than my own kitchen. There were only 3 of us so it was plenty spacious. The pool and hot tub were a wonderful treat which we used a lot. However, the hot tub did not work well and would just turn on sporadically. It definitely needs a new pump. Took a really long time to heat up. The patio floor also was in pretty bad shape and could use some attention. The outside of the house looked a bit run down in the front. When we first pulled up we were a little worried....but once inside breathed a sigh of relief because it was so nice and what we were expecting. The one hiccup in all of this was that when we arrived no one was there to let us in. When I called the property manager he said he was "very far away" and that the house cleaners must have taken the key and that he would call his wife who lived nearby and "maybe she could find a key." She did come over and eventually we got in. Property manager was totally rude and there was never an apology from the property manager or the owner about the mishap. This is the last thing you want when you have just traveled over 12 hours to get there. Other than that it was a perfect vacation!

Perfect Kailua Retreat

I really don’t have enough space to go on and on about what a *truly* wonderful experience our family had in this home. We swam everyday. Went to the beach every day. We cooked breakfasts, ordered in AND went out as there is everything at your figure tips. There is also hiking and kayaking very close (people were coming from Waikiki to kayak in Kailua 😂) for half of our family. And the other half just hang around home. We saw the July 4th fireworks right at the end of our private 3 min walk to the beach. No parking hassles and plenty of room. The house was perfect for our party of six. As I read in other reviews, and was true, the only room that isn’t air conditioned is the very middle bedroom, but if you leave the door open some the air will pull in and work out nicely. Especially for kids, teens or young adults (like my 2 sons). The air conditioner was a must for this party from Idaho!! Haha. But every morning the first person up would go around and rank all the windows open and enjoy that fantastic cool morning breeze, sometimes until 12 or 1:00 in the afternoon! Caretaker, John, was THE nicest guy. We really didn’t need anything but he checked in by text and came by. His beautiful wife brought us some fresh mangos. Even the cleaning lady (I’m so sorry I forgot her name!) met us as we were leaving and was so kind to speak with. Lynette, the owner and I have been speaking back and forth for 2 years as I tried and failed to make this trip a couple of times during COVID. She was so so kind, patient and helpful. For those wondering, the house is sort of like a mid-century modern style with a lot of renovations. It’s very open in the kitchen and living room. Absolutely perfect for a group. It’s sort of one long house. All pictures are spot on and the house is very clean. We didn’t see a single bug or gecko in the house which actually surprised me!! Coming to Hawaii as a kid we stayed in a nice house in Kailua and always had bugs and geckos inside!! But it is sealed very well! The pool and hot tub are seriously worth the booking. It is so nice to have that privacy rather than fighting off a million other families in a public pool. See? I’m going on and on. The house is wonderful. The owners, caretakers, locals are wonderful. Kailua is perfect. Skip the concrete jungle down in Honolulu… Go visit, but stay in Kailua. You will not be sorry. Thank you thank you thank you, Lynette and all your staff!!! We will be back!!!

Kailua perfection

My family and I stayed over Thanksgiving week after having to move our initial reservation a few times due to the pandemic, and Lynette could not have been more gracious or patient throughout the process. The house itself was just perfect for our family of 6--we loved the open layout, and the yard was such a pleasure to hang out it. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was sparkling clean. My dad used to live in the area, so we come back quite a bit, and Lynette's house is one of the best we've stayed in--we hope to come back soon and often! Mahalo.
