Studio apartment with bath, kitchen, and bedroom/living room/dining area. Fully furnished with washer and dryer, Ideal for couple with one queen bed. Studio apt. on lower floor of my home with separate entrance. Not easily accessible for guests with walking related disabilities. Picture included is of cement steps not path. Ten minutes from downtown Newburyport. Thirty minutes to Portsmouth, NH and Gloucester, MA.

We didn’t do any cooking , just made coffee in the morning. The location is splendid. Edward greeted us when we arrived and pointed out some pertinent information. Very private and quiet location which I loved

The host, Ed, was very friendly. The property was located in a quiet, peaceful spot convenient to Parker River NWR and short walk to area restaurants. Clean and comfy, would return.

Wonderful rustic summer cottage in the woods! One of the few really private wooded areas on PI and easy walking distance to town beaches. Reminds me of how the island used be decades ago -- nothing fancy but nicely appointed. A great collection of old books and travel guides.

Excellent owner response, beautiful location, short walk to beach, well stocked kitchen. If I were to go back, I'd ask Ed if I could arrive at noon & assist in cleaning.

A beautiful gem. Clean, quiet and surrounded by nature. A small walk to the beach. At the end of the beach there is a captain's fishing rental for deep sea fishing and or seeing the river.Will definitely stay there again.Tony and Terry

Perfect room and close to the beach

Our go to place for vacation on Plum Island. A short walk to the beach and also a quick drive over the bridge into Newburyport center. Highly recommended.

Peace and quiet amongst chaos.

Because of this private location when you look out your window all you see are trees and bushes. However it is only a 5 minute walk to the beach.

Small studio basement apartment

The stairs walking down to the basement apartment are uneven so be careful. When you open the the door you get hit with the musty smell. If you open the dresser, they smell is even worse. There were alive and dead spiders and flies. There is a crack in the bathroom floor that was covered up by a rug. The bed is hard and pillows inadequate. All the other VRBOs I have stayed at, the owner was not there. Here, the owner was upstairs. Was not a nice romantic weekend. On the positive side, it is close to the beach.

Charming studio in a lovely spot on Plum Island

This is our third stay at Ed's studio on Plum Island. It is charming and very comfortable, shor walking distance to beach and restaurants, general store with ice cream "parlor". The bed is very comfortable, the garden is private, quite and visited daily be birds and neighborhood "wild" turkeys. Ed is a great host; easy to contact and responsive. We hope for another stay next year.

A quiet, private getaway

This understated property is in a quiet, very private spot with an outdoor seating area, large parking spot and beach access just a short walk away. This is not fancy, it is rustic and quaint, but has perfect amenities and plenty of storage/space inside. The kitchen was well-appointed with freezer and refrigeration, stove, microwave, coffee maker and full sink. Everything you need is there - pots and pans, dishes, silverware, dish soap, towels and even aluminum foil and plastic wrap for leftovers! The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom was fine with extra towels, a full tub and shower. Laundry was available if you need it. It had reliable, free Wi-Fi which allowed me to work from the room - and also allowed me to watch streaming movies and television from my computer. There isn't a television in the room, but there is a cable hookup in the room. If you're looking for fancy and flashy, this is not the place - but this is better - it has a library of classic books, local artwork, photographs and a homey feel. Really, it felt more like being in a really nice cabin in the woods! I recommend this location and can assure you that Ed was a gracious and kind host.

This was a perfect beach getaway for our long weekend. We were looking for a place within walking distance to the beach. It is basically an efficiency apartment, not fancy but well furnished, comfortable and quiet. Ed is a great host and we will be back!

Quiet and Cozy

Great location just minutes from the beach and The Sunset Club. A short drive into Newburyport center to the restaurants and shops, harbo and whale watch tours. Highly recommended !

Convenient and quaint

Very nice to be so close to the beach and enjoy the national park. Might suggest a newer AC unit as it would likely save on electric and cool more efficiently. Host was very polite and quiet and a nice neighborhood.

Bird watching brought me to Plum Island, I am retired and enjoy the small woods in back of the house almost as much as the glimpses of the ocean from the front. I walk on the beach almost daily year around and photograph what I see!
