WILLOWBRAE CHALET at Florencia Bay Retreat is a quaint rustic cottage, privately located on a 2.4 acre old growth forested property bordering Pacific Rim National Park, within walking distance of Florencia Bay and Halfmoon via the Willowbrae Trail. This is a place to unplug and reconnect with nature and decompress from the busyness of life.

Custom designed and beautifully handcrafted, Willowbrae Chalet is a warm and inviting West Coast escape featuring dramatic flared cedar log accents inside and out. Inside, a stunning handcrafted log staircase leads upstairs to a spacious loft bedroom with a king bed, as well as a queen bedroom with an ensuite. Please note these two upstairs sleeping areas are connected by a shared entryway. The upstairs ensuite includes a stand-up shower and a charming clawfoot tub — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

Downstairs, the chalet offers an open-concept layout with a recently updated kitchen, booth seating for family meals, and a cozy living room featuring a propane fireplace and vintage smart speaker for ambient music on colder evenings. The sofa also folds out to sleep an additional 1–2 guests. A full bathroom with a tub/shower combo is located just off the kitchen.

Step outside onto your large private deck, tucked into the old-growth forest, where you’ll find a covered hot tub, outdoor dining table, and a BBQ for the grill masters at heart. With forest views from every room, this chalet is the perfect retreat for couples, families, or small groups looking to unwind in nature.

Room Layout
Loft Room#1 (upstairs): King-size bed (sleeps 2 guests).
Room #2 (upstairs): Accessed through the Loft Room and features a queen-size bed (sleeps 2 guests). The ensuite bathroom is shared between both rooms.
Bed #3 (downstairs)-The couch in the living room folds out into a queen-size bed (sleeps 1-2 guests but is ideal for 1 guest). Please note that some furniture must be moved aside to accommodate the pull-out bed, which will limit the available living room space while in use. The living room has only sheer curtains, so they do not provide full privacy or block out light. Guests using the pull-out bed should expect some natural light in the morning.
****Important Notes Before You Book****
Upstairs bathroom and bedroom access: To reach the upstairs bathroom and second bedroom, you must walk through the queen bedroom loft space.
Fireplace: The cabin has a propane fireplace (not wood-burning).
Laundry: The cabin does not have a washer or dryer. There are local laundromats available in Tofino and Ucluelet.

Host Rules:
Interested in a group booking? This property has 4 other cabins located on it which can sleep up to 24 guests if you rent all 5 cabins. Please contact Tofino Vacation rentals if you are interested in booking them all.
Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.
Age min: must be 21 years or older to book.
Please note: We’re in the exciting process of preparing for the addition of a fifth cabin on the property (completion, spring 2026). You may notice some light construction activity during the day as work progresses. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption minimal, and no work will take place in the evenings or on weekends.
Guest Limit: Maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.
During peak summer season (July-August), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps. If you receive a "host unavailable" message despite seeing availability, please contact us. Our booking system has specific rules and may require manual adjustments. Unfortunately, we're unable to modify summer reservations if the change would create a one-night gap in our calendar.

Pet Policy: Dog friendly after owner approval. Please let us know about your dog with the reservation request. 2 dog max!
Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals! No parties are allowed.

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30-day cancellation policy. If you cancel your reservation 30 days or more before your arrival date, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 14 to 30 days before arrival are eligible for a 50% refund, while reservations cancelled less than 14 days before arrival are non-refundable. We recommend purchasing travel insurance or checking with your credit card provider, as many offer trip cancellation coverage for unexpected circumstances.
Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.
