Fully updated Truckee cabin with plenty of beds

Enjoy Tahoe Donner and nearby Lake Tahoe (25 min drive) at this spacious Truckee cabin. This A-frame cabin has three levels and plenty of beds. The main floor has two bedrooms, each with a California King bed, a fully updated bathroom, living and family rooms, and a fully updated kitchen. The grey chaise sofa also converts to a full-size bed, if needed. Upstairs is great for kids - 2 bunk beds (full-size lower beds, twin-size upper beds, and a twin trundle), as well as a gaming area. The upstairs also has a fully updated bathroom. Downstairs has a queen-size Murphy bed (10 inch hybrid mattress) that converts to a couch when not using the bed. The downstairs also has a billiards table and a half bath.

Tahoe-Donner HOA amenities are available for up to 8 guests per day for a small fee ($16/person per day of using facilities). Amenities include tennis courts, pools, full gym, and a private marina at Donner Lake. Guest rates are also available for the HOA 18-hole golf course and horseback riding. In winter, the HOA ski slope is great for families, and the larger ski resorts of Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Northstar are nearby (23 minute drive). There are also plenty of free activities right out the front door, including biking, trails, and all the restaurants and nightlife of downtown historic Truckee (10 minute drive). We also have a basketball hoop in the backyard for some family games, or just practice your shots.

Perfect for multiple families

We had a great stay. The home was extremely welcoming when we arrived, the house was heated for us and felt comfortable. The layout was nice with areas to spend time together and private rooms with large beds. There was a bunk bed room which the kids loved, our kids are young so the adults shared the bunk bed room and we were glad to see a full size mattress and twin mattresses. The bonus room downstairs was great with a pool table and space for someone to work remotely. There were a few glitches but the owner was very quick to respond and everything worked great. We appreciate that the house water heater was great too! The kids played in the snow all day with the sleds that were there. The drive was easy, even with snow falling. We got to explore the downtown area after checking out as the home was just 10 minutes away. It’s apparent the owners have a long haired dog, that’s the only thing we noticed. House was clean, and suitable knowing there’s a long haired dog. So the dander and hair was around. Having a sitting cabin for vacation stays would collect more dust and pet dander in the vents. This is still a cabin that we’d love to include in our yearly trips to Truckee. The adults and kids really enjoyed the home. Thank you!

Perfect Truckee Cabin

The cabin was clean, spacious and well stocked. We had 6 adults and 6 kids. There was plenty of room for everyone and the owner was easy to communicate with.

Great stay!

Our two families with 4 adults and 5 kids 10 and under had a great time at this wonderful home. Dave was a great host. His home had everything we needed for a great, snowy weekend. Sincerely hope to stay again.

Wonderful Cabin Experience

We were delighted with the cabin! It was lovely, spacious, had plenty of supplies for our stay. The host was really friendly and answered promptly. We will definitely stay here again.

Family trip

We had a great stay in this cabin. The location was convenient, Tahoe was a quick 20 to 30 min away and the shops were 5 min away. We had 11 adult size people and 1 child, we had enough room to not feel suffocated. The balcony/deck fit about 6 people, so was a bit small for our group but we took turns coming out. We appreciated the kitchen being stocked with small items we forgot like foil, Ziploc bags, plenty of trash bags. Overall a good experience!

Dr Dave’s Cabin

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. It had everything needed to stay comfortably. The property was clean, organized and well maintained. It was fully stocked with all the necessities. The location was awesome and we took advantage of the use of the pool at the clubhouse which is just a 5 minute drive away. Dr Dave left very clear and accurate instructions for the house and excellent suggestions on good places to eat. We ate at nearby Village Pizza and it was delicious. The pool table and foosball kept our group entertained and the cabin has lots of games for families. David is a Super Host he was extremely accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay at this lovely place again. ~Tami

Perfect new rental for big or small groups!!!

This property is top notch and has everything dialed in. From overall instructions, to organization of things. Dr. Dave has put a lot of thought and love into making your experience exceptional! Clean, and great layout for entertainment! Pool table room is amazing and was our speakeasy for the weekend. Back yard had the basketball hoop, room for corn hole and place for the putting green. Definitely enough beds for our group of 12 and 2 pups! They loved it too, especially the deck over looking the driveway. Bathroom and showers are very nice, large and clean. Kitchen is awesome. Can’t say enough great things about this property. Neighbors are spaced nicely to give that privacy. As a property owner myself, I took notes and was very expressed. Thanks Dr Dave!

I was looking for a cabin somewhere near Lake Tahoe, and discovered Truckee as a great place.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Everything you need is close by, but not too close! There is a Safeway and Ace Hardware just down the hill, but you won't find any big box stores nearby (Reno is closest for that). Out the front door are plenty of trails and biking options. Donner Lake has all the same sporting activities as Lake Tahoe, but less crowded and only 10 mins away. However, Lake Tahoe is fantastic too, and only a 25 minute drive. Downtown Truckee is great, and you can find coffee houses, nice restaurants, and a few bars/breweries, but not as crazy as S. Tahoe.
