Great location - clean - very well stocked kitchen which was much appreciated Pool and hot tub were great Pet friendly was great and they loved the decksWished the back yard was accessible as open grass space for relaxing in privacy but high grasses didn’t allow that for us or the pups

The GOOD and the BAD

A bed frame broke the second night and required repair, and the repair was performed promptly. The mattresses were quite worn and uncomfortable. The living space, seating was worn and uncomfortable and insufficient for 6 adults. The dining room table seated 8 adults, not 14 as advertised. Inadequate seating on all decks, and pool area (only 4 usable adirondack chairs). Outdoor grill was filthy and not usable. Securing the cottage when leaving was difficult as only a single backdoor could be locked with a key( not a code). Disturbingly, the deck railing on the third level on the front was unstable for anyone to rest against. However, we were pleased that both ice makers in the two refrigerators worked well. Our party of six (6) adults would not rent this property again.

was a nice week

The rooms were spacious. The unit was clean when we arrived. Mike was quickly responsive to a maintenance issue. As stated by others, there is a lack of deck and pool furniture- If you have a pet, the back yard is overgrown, and not maintained as shown. It is also difficult to lock the house. The lockable door is difficult to access. you must squeeze around the hot tub.

Excellent location & Roomy House

The location is wonderful! Quick walk to beach and plenty of attractions are nearby. The house was spacious and was fantastic for accommodating our four families. When we arrived, there was a wine bottle in front yard along with construction debris. Once we walked in, the smell of crabs/fish was awful. There was absolutely no lingering scent of cleaning products, and the sofas are filthy. The pool was great, however we had to watch every step because of popped nails… grateful none of our kiddos were hurt. The grill was terrible (basically non-usable because we tried), highly recommend replacing it. There were rusty chairs and a rusty table tucked to one side of the deck… with our large group it would have been nice to have extra deck chairs. This beach house has tremendous potential, in our opinion it needs a touch of TLC and perhaps a better cleaning crew! We appreciate the fun memories we made at Nags Head!

Weekend Getaway Spring 2024

This house was great for a family vacation. The rooms were large, clean and well furnished. The decks had recently been replaced, so no splinters. The only problem was we couldn't join the WiFi on any of our devices.

Christmas memories

The house is in a great location and the perfect size for my family. The five full baths were essential. The downsides were the amenities and furnishings. The furniture is outdated and some damaged. There was some old cups left under the beds. We had the impression that the house upkeep is not a priority. If your goal is to make lasting memories with no thrills and modern conveniences this is the house for you. My family had a great time, but we would not return to this home.

Tropical Storm

Considering that we arrived along with a storm the weekend still turned out reasonably well. All was beautiful by Sunday. The hot tub took a long time to warm up and the ceiling fan in one room looked like it was about to fall down plus the outdoor furniture was a little knocked about by the storm. But the kitchen was relatively well equipped so we enjoyed ourselves mostly indoors

Great layout and family friendly!

Rented this great home for a long weekend of wedding celebrations nearby. There was room for everyone and we all had our own bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed to do simple meals. Enjoyed the pool and deck and especially the outdoor shower. Top floor deck was especially great for morning coffee. AC kept us nice and cool.

Family Time

We liked the spaciousness of the house and the children enjoyed their own big rooms, the pool and the hot tub. The adults especially enjoyed the 3rd floor porch area. However some of the porch furniture is rusted or breaking loose and is unsafe. However, there was a quick response by a repairman after a report to VRBO agency of a broken table. The master bedroom on the 3rd floor is nice but more privacy in the glassed-wall bathroom so held be preferable. Overall we had a great family time and enjoyed our stay in your VRBO property.

Excellent location

This is a great house for a couple of families. Right across the street for beach access!! Plenty of space to spread out! Kitchen had plenty of pots/pans and everything we needed. My only recommendation would be to update the outside furniture. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our week!

Great location but overall tired home

Just a heads up the decking around the pool has multiple nails lifting up which are painful to step on. The grill was rusted and very very small. The top deck had a broken area not too big but the fasteners ere sharp and unattached on one side. The rooms were not cleaned well. The kids found wrappers, a stray sock, an earring and multiple popcorn pieces and bottle tops under the beds and in the couches. The bedroom next to the game room was listed as having a full size bed but it was more like the springs from a pull out sleeper sofa; difficult to use for the full week but likely fine if some guests are staying only a night or two. The kitchen and all the bathrooms were well cleaned and the check in was easy.

Great weekend!

The house was beautiful and spacious! We had 6 adults and 2 dogs. There was plenty of room for everyone. The location is great, easy access to the beach, with views of the ocean and sound. I loved having jetted tubs in all the rooms. Everything is just like it’s listed. If you are a towel snob like we are you may want to bring a few with you. Would I stay again? HECK YEAH! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Beware of bugs

The big picture view of property is nice. It has good space for a large group. However the kitchen was overrun with ants and we killed several huge palmetto bugs the first night. I cleaned up what I thought was flour all over the kitchen to find out it was insecticidal powder. We had a dog and children in the house!!!!! The owner came to spray the next morning and downplayed all of my concerns. Said 2 things you can be guaranteed of at the beach is ants and flys, said the roaches were water bugs. Was unconcerned about my family and pet bring exposed to the chemical powder, It was inside the cabinets. Ant traps everywhere. I was on edge all week. I was cleaning the counters s dozen times a day. Not what I expect to do when I pay thousands for a weeks stay and 7 days away from work. There were repairs that need to be completed- repair of counter edges in kitchen, We enjoyed our time together as a family but would recommend you not rent this property and I am going to be unlikely to rent from Vrbo again.

Perfect for a big group with 2 little dogs

This home was 2 walking minutes to the beach, where I caught fish while the dogs and kids zoomed around catching ghost crabs. The house is new construction so the “leave behinds” from other guests were minimal, but overall the kitchen was loaded with all we needed to cook and serve huge family dinners, and the third floor with the deck can seat an army. Pool and hot tub were clean and serviced midweek. There’s enough space that my wife and I while on the third floor didn’t hear the older kids at night. It’s walking distance to a huge candy store, and several other shops. Jeanettes Pier is only a 3 minute drive south. AC, Wi-Fi, TVs all worked great. Host didn’t leave a massive list of rules which made us more comfortable than places I’ve rented in the past. Overall 5 stars and a great value compared to similar rentals in the area. We will return !!

Wonderful week!

We had a great week at this beautiful beach house! The rooms were very spacious, it was super close to the beach, and within a mile to the Pier and many restaurants & shops. Wonderful for ages three to 70! Kids especially loved the pool and hot tub. Thanks for a great place to make family memories!
